I created this blog a month ago as a bit of a side project to play around with and never did I think it would have gotten this much attention or this many followers so quickly. I really love playing Olivia and I love that you love her too. this isn’t anything special just something to point out those who I consider friends and really appreciate. I’ve probably forgotten people. please ignore the terrible graphic

Since I first started writing Alex, something has always confused me: her educational background. I'd like to briefly discuss this to see if I can get some clarity and would definitely welcome any input from you guys, so feel free to comment on this.

We know for a fact that she has a background on Bioengineering, so I assume she has a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Stanford ("When I was at Stanford, I was doing research in genetic engineering. And my work and connection to Kara, it came under scrutiny." 1.05 How Does She Do It?).

Alex then moved to National City and attended Med School at the University of National City and was on academic probation (1.17 Manhunter, deleted scene, see transcribed letter here; The Adventures of Supergirl, Chapter 9). We can actually get a specific date on the letter Thursday, March 10, 2011 (the last time March 10 was on a Thu was 2011). So, Alex was 21-22 at the time (assuming she was born in 1989), which means this was during her first or second year, depending on how fast you headcanon she finished her undergrad degree.

She was recruited by the DEO during this time and then went on to train for two years. This training was intensive and left little to no time for her to continue studies ("For the next five months, you will be spending 12 hours a day training." 1.17 Manhunter). So, my assumption then is that Alex never completed any further degrees aside from her Bachelor’s. Am I wrong in assuming this? Also, why do I have a feeling that she was trying to get more than one degree at the time? I feel like I’m forgetting something from a conversation she had with Kara.

Krypto has been crashing with Alex since Kara wasn't giving him attention because of Mon-El. But Alex gave him love. He's half asleep when she tried to get up, but he puts an arm on her chest to keep her put. "You're not going to work today. You need a break." (Bc a talking Krypto helping Alex relax and take a break seems cool.)

Surely, the pooch had many abilities similar to those of Kara and Clark, but there had never been anything about him being able to talk… What had changed? Was it her? Had something happened to give her the ability to read his thoughts? She had to still be asleep, there was no other explanation. “You’re not talking… no, you’re not,” she repeated to herself while pressing two fingers against the bridge of her nose.

Jo nuzzles into Alex happily, tail wagging a bunch as she nods. "Okay. I'll be glad to help." She licks Alex's cheek. "But now that you're home... does this mean you get to stay for a while?" Her head tilts as she asks the question. "Because I missed you. A lot."

      Closing her eyes at the tender lick, chuckles bubbled from her chest. “Hopefully,” she answered. “Luthor and Hank are still at large. Can’t really tell for sure where I’ll have to go and for how long. I promise to let you know, though, okay?” While Alex had never been the kind to open up and talk about feelings much, she did have to admit to herself that she had missed Jo too.
