Stretching her neck side to side, the lightness in her posture was clear to see. She allowed herself a faint smile before glancing over at Veldrin with a tilt of her head. If she'd been this tired after the day, she could only imagine how their resident wizard would be feeling which meant she could take over tonight's cooking. It's certainly been a while since it's been her turn, having to wrangle the cook duties from Gale.

"That can be arranged," Johanne nodded. A couple of their companions had managed to loot some decent ingredients this time around. While she wasn't averse to vegetables, the aasimar knew that they needed something meatier in their bellies for once. This meant having to do a quick hunt around the area while the others set up camp for the night.

"There should be a clearing close by we could camp on while a couple others and I hunt for game." She took note to secure at least one live game for their vampiric companion. Astarion had been looking a little more weary than usual and healing magic wasn't going to do it for him.

He recognized the look, for all that Johanne tried to keep her expression casual. He'd healed far too many people to miss it. It was gratifying, in its own way -- to see someone, especially those that tried to remain aloof and stoic, actually relax the muscles in their face, in their jaws and shoulders. To see how much more comfortable they were, and because of him.

"Add a good, hearty meal, and some luck, and you'll sleep better tonight than you have in a while." Veldrin finally stood himself, groaning a little as his arms went above his head, his spine cracking as he stretched. "It seems like I will too," he chuckled, shifting back and forth on his feet for a moment as he worked out any stiffness he'd gained from squatting down. He was by no means 'old', but Veldrin wasn't a youth anymore, either.

"We should get going, then. Camp and dinner sounds rather amazing, about now. And I don't think we'll be able to convince the others to go much farther today, anyway."

Johanne tilted her head for a moment, watching Bucky as he spoke, before giving a slight nod. "I... can relate to that. Especially after the Blip." Nearly everyone she held dear to her had disappeared during those five years— when she held everything down and built up for when they returned, despite not knowing if that will ever happen. Once it did, it felt as if her whole purpose was moot if she didn't do anything beyond that.

"It's still a part of you, in a way, isn't it?"

"A part of me doesn't feel as though that part is over for me. There's still something I need to do and I don't know if it'll end well. But I've got to try, there's a lot of bad people out there."
