I'm so glad she chose to not be just another mini-skirt wearing girlie-girl in the Korean music industry. You know, ones who don't know how to create, but to just do what they are told to do. You know, like the countless ones who are a part of the world of K-Pop.

I hope that all of her hard work leads her where her biggest Dreams are focused... She deserves it.

You are right about it needing to come from Taehyung. And, you are right that he won't do it. My sense is that he just loves the attention too much to give it up. (Not making him a bad person here, just noting what I observe. Tae is Tae!) He feeds on the energy. I'm sure he isn't aware as most people who do that don't know what they are doing....

All those toxic fans will continue their antics. It will just be a part of the experience.

Listen, I honest to God do not think that even for a second its courage JK lacks. Like at all. If it were up to him he would. 1000% he would. The amount of times JK has subtly debunked trashkookers I'm losing count atp. That man does not like them at all and he has made that clear over the years. So if it was his call he would do this. I just know he would.

If it was up to him Jikook would be out too.

But BTS are BTS and they are way too big and the fallout would be insane if they came out. And we already know they care about the Korean fans more than they should if you ask me.

But coming out aside, JK telling off trashkookers directly, I have a feeling it wouldn't work. They would just say he was forced by the company. If V and Jenny in Paris did not work i think JK and all members atp know it would be pointless to say Taekook is not real. Anon, I think JK saying something would be a waste of time. And if I know this so does he.

I, like you do wish he would, because then proper ot7 Armys would finally stop ignoring the vermin because they would have heard it directly from a member. But i dont think it would do anything to dissuade trashkookers.

V is the one who needs to say it. It is important to remind some people that BTS are Human Beings. Just like all of us.

They navigate their lives according to what they know, what they believe, and what they feel to be right for them (as individual Human Beings). We all do.

When fans place those men up on such high expectations/pedestals, it is going to collapse at some point. Multiple times. It is the nature of being Human.

The double-edge of fame is the need to live life as a normal Human, and to also manage the insane expectations that are projected upon said Human, from fans. To present to the public a persona that is real yet to do so without total vulnerability(by revealing the deepest parts of one's self).

It is also important to remember that the guys are still relatively young. 30 is just getting started in experiencing and growing and evolving as one lives adult life. More than likely their beliefs will evolve as they have more life experience to build upon. Everyone does.

I'm personally an older ARMY, and this comes from my own experiences. Thank god I'm not who I was at 30. lol...

In a perfect world, Taehyung would be a brand ambassador for some organic, non-gmo, healthy soda, in my opinionated-opinion. Haha... That's just me, and how I live my life... I mean, I haven't touched a Coke in a very very long time.

So I do think that Tae signed the contract as it is a business decision. It is a source of income. Just like every other contract he and the others sign, to be a brand ambassador. That's real life. He may even drink the stuff....

It's important to remember that the guys have every right to do what they choose, without having ARMYs attempt to police them and have a say. No one has that right.

Bottom line is that all of the guys have the right intentions and have good hearts. They are good Humans. With that they are also going to screw up and make mistakes. That is part of the Human Experience.

From that, they grow and learn. 💜

about Taehyng and Coca Cola issue … I honestly believe that bts are good people I have always believed this I thought that it wasn’t all about the money (since they experienced what it’s like to be poor) but after this I don’t know

on one hand they have never spoken/ supported anything publicly (maybe black live matter but it was an American issue mainly so they kinda played it safe even tho I hate saying this) I wasn’t expecting any acknowledgment or support on the matter but for them to act like it doesn’t even exist ( working with people/ brands that we know are funding…….)

it kinda paints the image of them being bunch of cowered (again I hate saying this but it’s my thoughts right now ) they only speak about matters that are safe (loving your self / mental health etc) and that good! But also what’s the point if we can’t even see it on them

I stoped myself from going through this rabbit hole two times before but this one I just can’t understand/ ignore especially with the recent posts of them having fun as if nothing happened I couldn’t even enjoy seeing them because the disappointment is just too deep

Okay. I soooo did not actually want to get into this, but this is the first ask I've gotten about it that isn't just full of vitriol and hate and awfulness. So I'm going to share my thoughts and my OPINIONS. Everyone is fully free and entitled to feel differently or unfollow me or engage in discourse about it in the reblogs/comments. As long as you stay respectful to me (remember I'm a human here too), BTS and Palestine. I'm not going to say I refuse to post further anons about it, but it's unlikely.

So with the disclaimers all out of the way.... Again, read more at your own risk and discretion while understanding this is my personal opinion. You CAN have different ones.

Ultimately, this is not the omg V/BTS are horrible people proof/take this is getting made out to be. I am not going to prove you wrong or tell you how to feel. Was i happy to see him being the ambassador for coca-cola? No. I do wish he hadn't taken that contract. I do understand that even if he sees the backlash and wants to do something about it or regrets it, he probably can't. He is more than likely legally locked into doing certain promotions and saying certain things for a period of time at this point. He also isn't the first idol or celebrity to be promoting or associating with companies on the BDS list. But BTS are the only ones who face this level of backlash and vitriol for it.

BTS does not control your ethos. They do not control your actions. You can still boycott everything and anything you want. This upsets me WAY less than something like the tweets from ARMYs saying horrible things about the kids in Gaza and saying they will go buy coke because V is hot. Do I think it would be GOOD if they didn't do things like this or be photographed with Starbucks? Yes. Do I wish they would say something? Yeah. Do I think they are bad people because they are staying silent or because of this ad? No.

People have put BTS on such an incredibly high pedestal and anytime they don't behave in a way that conforms to your/our morals, ethos and standards, it is a hard crash landing that is not always deserved. Regardless of what they sing in Anpanman, they don't want you to put a cape on them and make them your superhero. You need to do that for yourself.

Are we holding this same energy for their concerts and Are You Sure on Disney+? They are on the BDS list. When you go out to eat, most restaurants use coke products, Do you just order water, alcohol, juice? Have you googled something recently? Ordered anything off Amazon? Eaten pizza from any of the bigger pizza chains? Gone to Walmart? Eaten any Doritos recently?

Personally, I care more for my impact on the world, my contributions and how I handle myself in these issues than I do how anyone else, including BTS and other celebrities, are. They do not influence me and they shouldn't influence anyone. I understand that they do though and that this is a disappointment as a promotion.

While I understand it's a disappointment, BTS cannot do ANYTHING about Gaza. Even if they were screaming free Palestine from the rooftops like Macklemore. It would garner respect, but it doesn't give change. All the hate towards them over this, especially if it's just this anger without the angry person making their phone calls to politicians and donations, gives performative activism. True activism has nothing to do with celebrities. It has everything to do with coming from a place of wanting to help and create change. And it starts by annoying the people in power. BTS don't have any actual power. Yelling and wanting to control how BTS speak on an issue doesn't give activism, it gives forced coercion of the members. BTS are not politicians, they are not activists. They are musicians.

ARMY, solo, casual fan. We can all agree this was tone deaf and disappointing. But Tae/BTS are NOT funding the genocide. And we need to make the people in power and the corporations funding it hurt. That's where this anger belongs. Separate your sense of who you are from what you are a fan of. If for you, this is not something you want, feel comfortable with, desire to be a part of anymore, etc. then don't. You don't need to continue to be a fan of anything any longer at any point.

I'm going to end with saying that we don't know how BTS may or may not be supporting Gaza quietly/behind closed doors. They have in 2021 supported Pro-Palestine art. For me, it's not fair to put the expectations of performing activism on them constantly. We know their message and their core beliefs as people. It's okay if that's not enough for you. To say silence isn't enough and I can't be an ARMY anymore. That's fine. It's fine if it is enough too. It's okay to feel any and all feelings related to this. Humanity is collapsing. Your emotions are valid. I don't think BTS are bad people. Nor do I think anyone upset about this is a bad person.

Good luck to anyone processing all their emotions over the past few years and for all the future ones. It's not been an easy time and you have my heart. I also would appreciate it if anyone is wanting to continue this discussion, either in reblogs or asks, to make a donation. Direct to a family with GoFundMe or to a cause. Call your representative or spread awareness somewhere. If you can make the time to type out a post/response, you can make the time to help even in a small way. That's how we can try to slowly make a difference. It's the only way I know how.
