in all seriousness i better not see a single gif of that fuckass harry potter show on this hellsite.
don't make them, don't post them, don't reblog them. just don't give free advertising to a millionaire giddy over stripping trans people of their rights.

Oh my gosh. I just found this website that walks you though creating a believable society. It breaks each facet down into individual questions and makes it so simple! It seems really helpful for worldbuilding!

salty take: gemma is intelligent. she is a russian lit professor. she walked through doors and experienced the gaps in her memory and understood what that meant, and knows the door she's on the other side of is another severed precipice. she was rescued by her man soaked in blood who kissed every part of her face and called her his baby and clearly did everything in his power even years later to deliver her from hell. she does not think HER mark moved on, she knows a part of him is trapped in hell now just as she was, and it looks like it found a reason to stay. it is devastating enough without twisting it into her thinking he's got a wife and children.
#yeah tbh I think she knew#but really really wanted outie mark#so she was begging mark#any version of mark#to please come be with her#cause she knew her version of mark#might never get to see the light of day again if he stayed in Lumon#severance spoilers#severance

No literally! I also wish he would have said “I’m severed, I’m not your Mark” and then she would have understood what was happening
my thoughts: mark s could’ve at least tell gemma to go to devon. like. PLEASE. if she’s back in lumon’s hands I think I will literally die. DIE. like on the ground. DIE.

the whole episode was spent establishing that mark s is his own person with his own life and that love does not, actually, transcend severance, and he knows that he’s gonna have to go upstairs eventually so he doesn’t have much time left and of course he’s going to want to spend it with the woman he loves, and people are still like “hehehe sorry gemma markhelly won” and I feel like I’m going insane. mark s/helly won. mark scout/gemma won. they just hammered it into us that innie and outie mark both have lives with the same value!!! this isn’t a ship war!!! Im gonna lose it!!! please go read frankenstein!!!
#right?#my solution is a substance one lmao#one week for innie mark#and then one week for outie mark#they get to share their lives now#remember you are one

sooooooooooooo many things to scream about tonight but number one on the list is the difference in the ways dylan and mark's outies talked to their innies. from the get-go mark scout is nothing but patronizing to mark s. he created mark s as an escape from his grief, and now he wants to use mark s as a means to an end to save his wife and pick up his life where he abandoned it. he gets helly's name wrong and calls her 'the person you're seeing' because he doesn't recognize mark s's humanity. he sees mark s as an extension of himself, and he only loves gemma, so of course whatever mark s feels for helly can't be real or worth fighting for. and when mark s understandably doesn't see it his way, mark scout lashes out, calling mark s a child.
but then you have the letter dylan george wrote to dylan g. in three paragraphs dylan george talks to his innie like an adult, like they are peers. he's angry at dylan g, but at the same time, he understands why dylan g did what he did. he would have done the same if he were in dylan g's place. after years of being jealous of his outie, dylan g learns that his outie thinks he (dylan g) is the one to emulate, the self-assured badass. and where helena and mark scout made their innie's decisions for them ("i am a person. you are not.") dylan george breaks the cycle: he offers his opinion, but ultimately puts the decision back in dylan g's hands.
at the end of this season, dylan g is gifted agency. and after fulfilling his purpose, mark s steals his agency back.
#severance spoilers#severance#THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING#ITS WHY DYLAN G OUTIE#IS THE ONLY OUTIE I STILL FUCK WITH#I feel bad for Gemma#but I don’t blame innie mark at all#he didn’t want to kill himslef#and he shouldn’t have to

Something a lot of people don't realise is that Katniss likes Peeta as a person.
That plays a far bigger part in her wanting to spend her life with him than his undying love for her. It's not like how Gale imagined it or some readers interpret it to be, that Katniss loves Peeta because of how much he loves her and is devoted to her.
For a long time, Peeta's undying love for her only made her feel guilty because she thought she couldn't give him what he wanted, which we know is completely false, but she got it in her head.
She assumed Peeta wanted children and never bothered to ask. She assumed Peeta wanted her undying love as well and thought she didn't harbor that feeling for him. Both were wrong, but the point is that Peeta "simping" for her did nothing for him to win her over.
She wants to be with Peeta because they always get along from the moment they're put together. They enjoy each other's company and have intellectual and deep conversations. They didn't even realize how soul-searching it was when they talked about wanting to die as their true selves on the roof before the first game. But they've been like that from day one.
Katniss had been spending a lot more time with Gale by that point, but they had never talked about something that deep. That's part of the reason their relationship starts falling apart the moment they need to align their morals. They never talked about it, period.
Katniss and Peeta are compatible in morals, ideals, and even humor. They can laugh together in a deadly game. They can tease each other in any circumstances. That's what makes their relationship enjoyable. That's why they'd still end up together even if the games never happened. I stand by that.
#yes she loves him as a person#and at first she doesn’t know if it’s romantic#but she still loves him and decides this isn’t enough#and care bear the thought of loving another person and costing them their life#so she distances herself#we accept the love we think we deserve#and she did not feel deserving of his love#nor does she feel deserving of the love of her district#it’s all really sad#even with the concept of the games removed from the picture

“Oh my god we’re getting Haymitch’s games” “oh my god I can’t wait to see this from Haymitch’s pov”
Suzanne Collins doesn’t write unless she has something to say. With the current political climate, I can’t wait to hear what she has to say. It’s supposed to be about the power of propaganda and implicit submission? Consider me sat, oh my god this is going to be great.
