A quick thread about how I feel about the recent actions that Kelley made.

I understand if you don’t support her anymore.

She’s just a pro soccer player, not a pro activist, don’t expect her to agree with you on every political issue. Especially on a national holiday regarding America. She has a big military history in her family, so yeah it sucks that she’s picking today (THE FOURTH OF JULY) to continue her support for them.

She has a big history of being patriotic, that doesn’t mean she’s racist or anti-blm. Her patriotism is obviously always regarding her family’s history in the military.

SUPPORTING THE MILITARY ≠ ANTI-BLM!

I have no doubt that she’ll be right back on the BLM activism.

Yes it sucks. Yes I wish she kneeled. But no, I don’t blame her. No, I don’t hate her.

If she continues standing during the anthem in the upcoming games? That’s a red flag.

Physically, she’s doing very well. Emotionally, I think, it’s got be bit a little bit tough to recover, but she’s working on it. It took 39,000 feet to think you might be going down, is a scary place to be. [I talked to Jen] the minute she landed, she was very shaken and thankful to be alive. And we are very thankful to the pilots who did an amazing job getting the plane on one engine.
