Here’s Day 3! Got this done with 15 minutes to spare! * Warning: minor spoilers for The Adventure Zone final arc!!* Today’s prompt was “The Dryads”, so I couldn’t help but draw my two favorite dryad bad ass girlfriends Sloane and Hurley from the podcast “The Adventure Zone”. OKAY. I almost didn’t make it but here is my Inktober 2K17 Day #1! I am using a prompt list by dropthedrawing on tumblr called Characters of the Forest (will link when I’m not on mobile!) This is Day #1- “The Old Man”. Didn’t actually finish it (had to draw him during rehearsal and didn’t have my actual drawing pens or paper) but there he is. May come back to him later….

Finally decided to post this - it’s so hard to feel like it’s done because, for one, I feel I am incapable of doing this marvelous woman justice, and two, calling it done and posting it makes her passing all the more real….anyway, here is my tribute to Carrie Fisher. Inktober Day 5 - Socialite Witch/ Favorite Video Game

So today’s combination happened to work out rather well -  I drew the magnificent Vivienne from Dragon Age: Inquisition (yes I know she is a mage and not technically a witch but she fits the witch persona very well). Mingling with nobles, entertaining and assisting with her unique skillset, indulging in high society, all the while maintaining a cool, collected, intelligent, and mysterious facade. A true Socialite Witch in my book.

Inktober Day 4 - Garden Witch/Redraw Something Old

For this prompt I didn’t really have many old drawings that I thought would fit, but I did have an unfinished one from about 6 months ago that I thought I’d redraw. Someday I'll actually scan these but for now I apologize for the shit image quality...I had also hoped to color it but didn’t have time. When I get a chance to I’ll repost it!

Not sure if I like the way the shading worked out - I was trying to push myself to do it all in straight ink rather than in pencil first, but that meant not being able tl fix mistakes… Ah well. I’m learning.

The season 2 finale of the (My) Immortal webseries left me inspired to draw Hermione and Enoby in a post-transformation-magical-girl type pose….Dare I say, I think it’s finally finished. Some minor things I may fix later….

First drawing for the Les Mis 69-minute prompts! It was a difficult task, but after much deliberation, I settled on Grantaire as my favorite character. Not sure exactly what it is about him I am drawn to…maybe the idea that devotion to friends and loved ones is stronger than devotion to any cause or ideology?

Anyway, here he is, done in juuuust shy of 69 minutes :)

Finally got around to getting this idea out, it’s been dancing in my brain for months now.

Got kinda lazy doing all the details so parts are messy but I like it overall.

So yeah, here’s a thing. Pretty happy with how it came out, though it still feels a bit incomplete…I dunno, if anyone has any suggestions or critiques, feel free to give'em (politely, please!)

So I decided to give this meme a shot because I’ve seen it pop up a lot lately and why not right?

It’s definitely interesting to look back at where I was just a few years ago compared to now. Obviously I’m still not as good as I’d like to be, but look at the improvement! On the right track :)

An assignment for my Color Theory course this semester. We had to take a freshly cut fruit and draw/paint it in natural light and in some sort of altered light, and then let it desiccate for a few days (which was a bit icky and kind of unorthodox, but that’s art school) and repeat the process, generating a different color palette of at least 8 colors for each.

I chose a grapefruit, and put it under a red-tinted light. For my medium, I decided to use this opportunity to practice using my tablet (with Photoshop)….so yeah.
