This is a great explanation. I'll also add that Tumblr is trying to get a hang on the porn bots. It's difficult, there are way too many of them out there. Removing so many bot porn blogs requires automated tools, and also demands from those tools the accuracy not to boot genuine users out of the website. So remember to not only block them, but also to report. Blocking a porn bot helps you, reporting them helps the entire website.
