   ☾☾☾   admittedly, she jerks her hand away at first, clearly startled by the act. her nostrils flare and her eyes widen as she glances from the elf’s warm hand to his kind expression, before staring at her own hands with a mixture of confusion and fear. 

   ( why do they look so much alike? )

   even when she stands there battling with her own thoughts, dokoran is ever so patient, quietly waiting with his hand reaching out for her. in that moment, she sees no lingering reason to fear the inquisitor. if there’s anyone she can run to--- it’s him. and without a second thought, san lurches forward, this time clumsily wrapping both of her hands that tremble slightly around dokoran’s much bigger one. she grins from ear to ear.

    words are unnecessary when she bumps her forehead lightly against his shoulder in a playful manner. i trust you.

   ☾☾☾   with a shy giggle, san nods her head proudly    and hides her face into her pelt, where she takes    peeks and little glimpses at the other. she can’t     help but be curious--- she’s drawn to strength.    “mm-mm. you remind me of my mother, is all.”

it’s a pup!:

 The responsive howl stuns Korra into temporary silence, but once she sees that it’s another girl looking back at her, she immediately lowers into the grass, tiny bum wiggling in the air, and starts to pant excitedly. 

“Aowww aow!”

   ☾☾☾   oh, wait--- it’s a pup! well, this is a first.    tilting her head to the side, san crouches in front    of her. she grins, exhaling excitedly through her    nostrils, as she lowers herself onto her belly to     headbutt the other playfully. “you’re tiny!”
