Can you elaborate on MT’s diva status and how she and Henri don’t speak good luxembourgish? I’ve always thought she seems so warm and kind but I guess I could see the diva thing too lol.

oh i could talk about this for hours but basically there were allegations that MT treated her staff like shit (i think she even was physically abusive) and spending looots of taxpayer money on expensive hotel rooms and co. The allegations were kind of proven to be true and there was a whole report about it called the Waringo Report, which was ordered by the government.

And about their luxembourgish skills, it is wildly know they mostly speak French at home, Henri has quite a strong French accent while speaking and I don‘t know if I ever heard MT talk in lux. In honor of his 25 anniversary, they released a documentary, and the whole family spoke in French, except for Guillaume. It‘s not that deep as we are quite a multicultural country but yey sometimes you wish the family that represents your country and is living quite a lavish life funded by the country‘s taxpayer would speak better or even mainly luxembourgish and also live in luxembourg but well i guess not

As exited as I am to see Guillaume and Stéphanie as new Grand Duke and Duchess, I am also a bit sad to see Henri and even Maria Teresa go. They did a good job representing Luxembourg (even though both of them could have improved their Luxembourgish)
