Not to discuss AI, but I hate how people use it as a backhanded compliment. I draw for fun and one of my speed paints has finally done half decently. However my first comment was:"yo what... it isnt AI!"

Like- it really killed my mood bc I felt confident but- my work is being seen as ever so slightly above that of a soulless robot. Mind you this piece took roughly a week or so. This was something I poured my passions into, however, bc it's not the Mona Lisa or something, the only comment I get is "at least youre not a robot".

Just because he helps those around him doesn’t make him some- selfless knight. I’m really starting to get tired of this idea that he’s some hero for showing people they can live differently.

Is it noble? Yes.

Is it overall selfless behavior? Also yes.

Does it change the fact he has fucked up people’s lives just because he is insecure? NO!

I’m sorry but as someone who was a Blitz, it does not give him any right to- treat Stolas or Verosika the way he does. Sure, I am Stolas’s #1 Fan, but Blitz’s behavior is beyond deplorable. For example, how he uses Stolas. Sure the two use one another, but lets not forget him publicly embarrassing Stolas during the Ozzie episode purely because he wanted to see Moxxie and Millie.

Let’s not forget he misled Stolas into believing it was a date so he’d come.

Let’s not forget Blitz is incredibly crude and invasive into his employees lives.

He consistently interjects himself into Loona’s social life.

I mean- need I go on? The dude is an asshole, and he owns that shit. That’s why I respect Blitz. He knows he has hurt people. That he has hurt Verosika and Stolas. I like Blitz because at the bare minimum he can accept he’s done some fuck shit.

Do I think he does it with malice in his heart? Yes and no. Maybe not in the moment, but after when he sees the damage?… I know that feeling of it eating at you. But puh-lease do not sit here and act like Verosika did some shit wrong. The phrasing of “she didnt love him beyond the mask” is genuinely throwing me off when he just does not let people in or close.

Blitz can be vulnerable, but he isn’t usually. Verosika genuinely loved the guy she saw, it is not her fault Blitz put up those walls. It is not her fault that Blitz is insecure or traumatized. He had no right doing that to her or Stolas, both individuals who have been there for him.

Let’s not even get into Mastermind because god it speaks volumes that he couldn’t humanize Stolas until he lost everything.

Idrc if you defend Blitz, I mean I love the guy, but please let’s just- allow him to be an asshole because that is what he is.

He doesn’t want to be this way, not forever.

I want to see him grow out of this, but I also wish people wouldn’t boil him down to a knight in shining armor when he’s some fuckhead in a van, breaking people’s hearts.

It baffles me

How can someone watch the show, see how Blitz pulls Loona, Moxxie and Millie away from despair - giving them the choice they never had before to change their life however they want, give them the chance to be whoever they want to be, to be free and live a life they can be proud of - and think he is a mean-spirited and close-minded person? Have they not seen that Blitz makes the most selfless choices out of anyone we have seen in Hellaverse so far?

It may sound strange to those people, but Blitz is, in fact, the most selfless character we have seen in the Hellaverse so far. He is also the only character we have seen so far that genuinely supports the dreams of other characters, no matter what he personally thought of it.

Even when we see him talk to Fizz about his dreams, he never discourages Fizz from his dream of being a big performer that can work and shine on the same stage as Mammon, a literal Sin. He doesn't like that Fizz ties his self-worth to Mammon and wants him to stop living his own dream for an asshole. Because he wants Fizz to live a life where he is happy, where he can smile every day and say "I have no regrets". He encourages Fizz to break away from Mammon, someone who abuses Fizz and makes him miserable, but he never puts down Fizz's actual dream and goals. The worst he did was QUESTION them.

He was forced to build a prickly wall around his heart BECAUSE he is a genuinely loving and highly empathetic person. He would not have survived in this life if he didn't build SOMETHING to protect himself, and what is better than the facade of an unberable asshole nobody would want around?

The persona Blitz has build, the mask he always wears, is insanely good. He is an incredible actor, good enough to fool people that claim they love him (Verosika) - but in actuality those people never looked behind the mask, never desired to see the real him hiding behind that joke-cracking asshole.

The more time we spend with Blitz, the more we see the cracks in his mask and his true self is being revealed. And so far? We have seen that he is a protector, someone that sees people in need and can not let them go through the same hardships he has had to endure and survive. He gives them a helping hand, the chance to change the trajectory of their life forever, to find themselves and follow their dreams. He reminds them that they too, have free will.

KOSA/the kids online safety act has been reintroduced into legislature after it passed Senate last year and then got snubbed. It is not unlike the bill that just passed in the UK a few weeks ago. If you don't want what happened in the UK to happen here, now would be a good time to vocally oppose it.

Here is a petition that can be signed by Americans. Attached to the petition is an easy tool that allows you to call and leave messages for your representatives. I have already done so. You can also email your representatives by searching for their name, most have message submission boards as well. This thing died once, it can die again.
