Top five songs from Ariana Grande Sweetener album
God is a women
breathin
everytime
blazed (feat. Pharrell Williams)
better off
I really wanted to like the album but after listening to it a few times there are only a handful of tracks that I wanted to listen to again. Maybe seeing her perform them live will change my mind about some of the songs. I fell does really fit is no tears left to cry. I really wish she had more of songs such as her feature with Nicki Minaj on Bed or Dance To This with Troye Sivan

Song of the month (July 2018)
Bebe Rexha - I’m a Mess
The third single from her debut album Expectations, released in June. The songs lyrically look at her own struggles which are set to a playful melody. The songs feature an electric guitar and finger clicking melody. She delivers a solid vocal performance. The song has the power to relate to many people going through struggles and to quote Bebe Rexha ‘Everything's gonna be okay’

Album of the month (July 2018)
Years & Years - Palo Santo
The album was released at the begging of the month. The album came 3 years after the success of their debut album Communion. The premise of the album looks at the link Olly Alexander saw between religious church and pop music.
The album is a concept record set in the fictional world of Palo Santo, where rules about gender and sexuality do not exist. The album is imagery is Si-Fi and technology while the album is dance-pop and electropop. The band also said they were influenced by 1990′s pop and R&B music.
The band released Palo Santo (Short Flim)

When the band released the first single from the album Sanctify. It was an okay single it wasn't too impressed or blow away. However, in June my brother had asked if I had heard their new single If You’re Over Me. Once hearing it I was excited about the album.
My favourite from the album included
Hallelujah
Karma
If You’re Over Me
Lucky Escape
The album navigates through a heartbreak wrapped up in pop music escapism while promoting mental health and LGBTQ rights to the front while listening to the album. Side note the band put on an amazing live show while they have been playing the festival circuit.

The X Factor UK

I enjoy watching shows such as The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice and as I have gotten old and understand the show isn’t as real and I believed when I was 13. Recently I got tickets to go to the X Factor auditions. All tickets are free to get and work on a first come first serve bases. While there I noticed so many things that you would not think or know about. First things, that massive queue of people that you see at the beginning of the show and it looks like all those people are there to audition is just a massive lie. Everyone in that queue is there to get their tickets for the show. If they want to interview a contestant for the show they just place them in the queue to do so.
The next point I found so funny they made the cheered do a thing called silent cheering, this was while Dermot was doing a link for the opening of the show. While this was going on their staff were also handing out posters for the crowd to hold up while Dermot was doing his intro.
While we were waiting to get our tickets, we were asked to follow on of the showrunners. We were taken inside Wembley Arena and told we would be filling in while they were filming. We were told that we were going be in the background talking while they got there shot of the contents walking up to check into the show. Also, the two people beside the contestant auditioning were not auditing themselves and had made it look like they were talking but made no sound. Once they had got the shot (which they made the women do about four times). We were taken down to where all the contents sit before the audition, we were told we could either full up the seats or we could leave.
Once you are inside to arena before anyone has audition they film a range of different reactions, such as cheering, booing, shocked, putting phone light up and even a standing ovation. They also made the crowd chant each judges name. The judges ask so many questions to all the contents that audition, for example, they asked one girl what her favourite flavour of crisps where and another how many pets he had. They also had most of them sing at least two songs when they were auditioning, and it goes on for a lot longer than when on the TV. We were talking to one of the contents who said that the produces asked her to audition and that they changed her song list and even the key of her songs too.
My opinion on the new judging line up; Simon is just Simon you know what you get form him. I’m not a massive fan for Robbie Williams but for the 10ish auditions that I saw he was harsher than Simon. With Ayda Field I wasn’t such as the way she was there, but she gave a lot of really good feedback and didn’t just sit on the fence. Finally, Louis Tomlinson was a bit of a let-down, he looks as though he was still nervous and because he is younger than the rest something just felt a little off.

As they were singing songs from 2012 that they have toured on there last four years they were still able to change up their choreography and production. There were fireworks from the beginning along with confetti and giant beach balls. After the rest from the Glory Days Tour the vocals were on point and showed there fans and the public that they can sell out stadium everywhere.

The show was non stop from the beginning to the end and I could easily see them playing stadium on their future tour.

Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me Tour - Birmingham Arena - 29/6/18
Demi Lovato hit the stage in Birmingham after having to postpone the date earlier in the month due to vocal damage, he voice was in fine form the rescheduled date. Lovato opened with ‘You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore’ before dancers joined her on stage. Lovato's performance was stunning, her vocals were amazing and one of the best vocally shows I have ever seen.

Lovato seemed to disappear after every song through a trapped door on the stage and it took until the fifth songs for her to actually talk to the crowd. She didn't mention the rescheduling of the show and to me, concerts are where you should feel like you know the artist on stage. The only time where Lovato really gave meaningful speeches was before ‘Fall In Line’ and then ‘Warroir’ and ‘Sober’. Lovato has the showdown vocally, but there are parts when dancing she seemed as though she just didn’t want to be there and is just going through the motion.
