It is just like his wrestling career. At first, it was a promising new meme that brought us smiles, laughs, and cheers. Then there comes the lull in it’s lifespan. The overexposure and him being in everything and everywhere. Now it reaches his career as of recent, the boos and sneers. People are beginning to hate it and wish it would end. And it makes me laugh and smile each time I think of it

Audio Log #1: Travis

Everything was going great. The way we handled the Smithsonian Crisis rocketed EDEN to new heights. I was finally getting my wish. Sunlight. Actual sunlight for more than a mission allowed. Fresh air to fill my lungs with. Not the same that comes before blood or gunsmoke found it’s why in. And finally, time. Time to relax and think for myself, not about the mission and the lives involved. The surviving members of the APPLE project were promoted to higher positions after three years in service to the US government. With the overwhelming praise we received from our successful teamwork (soft softly) and a lack of distractions from the former two (deep breath), Countries began to take interest in EDEN’s APPLE Project. We were on the fast track to becoming what we set out to be, a group devoted to protecting this planet. Shadow went to Japan to train with and lead their team. He-I mean (pause) She would end up staying in Tokyo, watching the new batch of APPLEs take an enhanced version of SnakeBite. Mindgames departed for Britain and heading the division in London. Fieldwork did a toll on her emotionally (spoken softly) which I don’t believe (pause) so she decided to watch from afar and give insight instead of fight the good fight. And I stayed in the States to lead the new breed of APPLEs. Kids turned into warriors like the original five. Different abilities though. Cellular Division from the one known as Particle, Cellular Reconstruction from the one know as Clay (spoken softly) Particle’s twin, Superior Visual Comprehension from the one known as Sight, and finally Amplified Electronic Field from the one known as Spark. They were deemed as more of an espionage group. I was picked to be the only heavy in the group to give them some sense of protection. They followed my every word as good as soldiers should. They were ten when they received the SnakeBite. The slightly enhanced version actually took less time to take effect. Japan’s APPLEs were picked at age fifteen to see how well that age group would deal with the changes to their DNA. EDEN was expanding. APPLEs were getting closer to the treatment they deserve. And I was enjoying my life. But like I said before, everything WAS going great. Then Kaine- (sighs) Soundbite had to break free from his bonds and cell. He had to terrorize the whole building. And he had to come knocking on my door.

Reasons why Invincible is a great modern superhero comic

1) More with the times and doesn’t look at things as bad and good.

2) Actually has to train to get his powers, not instant strength from the Sun

3) Does not have a limitless amount of powers to get out of a situation. Realizes fists can only get you so far.

4) Easier to relate to. A lot more problems are human rather than alien.

Later issues hit their stride and even deal with heavier tones. That’s right!-

A View At What Truly Is

A creature taught to walk upright. That’s all humans are. You take away the made-up ideals and moral codes, the societal bonds and family ties, they are nothing but the very spawn looked down upon. Always searching for a way to ‘better’ one’s self. Playing gods and goddesses, building a thin wall between them and what is seen in the mirror. They are the creatures we put on display at your local zoo. They are the scum pointed and laughed at in videos on the internet. They are what is hated most. But their masked by silly little things like the size of their wallet or the car they should drive. Funny how the advancement of one thing is killing the others around it. Where I was created, they would call that a virus. A leech. An unwanted guest in the living organism known as Earth. And then there are those few chosen to be... more. APPLEs plucked in the Garden of EDEN, made strong by the gods and goddesses. Chosen to be advanced yet reverted to a simpler form. Meant to take orders, never think. Only taught to answer and never question. Made to destroy the ‘enemy’ and save the ‘innocent’. Mangled and twisted, yet shaped to resemble their follow masked beings. My fellow APPLEs are not as twisted as me, luckily. Named for a holy sign as a cruel joke. The ‘blessing’ of my blood manipulation has left me this monstrous abomination. One who waited and waited in a cage to be told his purpose. And the one who was crushed to learn he never had one. Us APPLEs aren’t needed, but we exist... So what do I wish for? Nothingness... That is what I am after. That is what Soundbite’s crusade can bring me. When you live so long as a monstrous creature with no purpose, you’ll begin to beg for it. And now... I’ll take it. Just a little bit longer, the voices will be silenced and I will be at peace. No more crying in my head. No more anxiousness running through my mind. And no more hollow promises made to a boy desperate for a second chance. It ends with my blood, his voice, and the sound of the sky falling.
