so mads mikkelsen said that when hannibal met will , he started to imagine a future for himself with will . and it made me think of hannibal’s scene in s1 ep13 when he tells bedelia he never imagines himself beyond his death. but with the loss of abigail and will he’s grieving for what they could have been. hannibal had imagined a future with will as a family !!!!!! and he grieved this lost opportunity !!!!!! a lot of ppl say "bros crying bc he framed will for his crimes☠️" but u also have to remember that hannibal has loved will since the very first beginning of their relationship. he put his trust in will and did everything he could to keep his serial killer identity away from him bc hannibal wanted to keep this friendship with will. but it is only when will came back after his jail time that hannibal realized he doesnt need to hide anymore. will accepts him in every identity he shows or has, wether it’s doctor lecter, chesapeake ripper, or hannibal himself with his insecurities and wounds and secrets. for once hannibal saw a future with someone who truly accepts and understands him no matter how untouchable hes built himself to be. and it feels wrong and impossible and scary but he’s willing to give himself this future with will
