LIVING FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN

As of late I have been exploring in scripture the truth that says, “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world”. 1John 4:17 For some reason through out my 15 plus years in church little have I heard about this being taught. Of course the disciple in whom Jesus Loved revealed that we have the ability to live like Jesus in all his Love, Power and Authority. Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus he made a way for all of us to live in such a way that it would puzzle the minds of those living outside of a relationship with him. Remember the passage that says, For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. See God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. All throughout the word and through history God uses the least likely candidates to convey the message of Truth and to be the extension of Heaven to a very wicked world. See the less of me means the more of him and more of him means more of his goodness in the earth. Anybody can sin or say that they are flawed but those are mere excuses for failing to surrender totally to God. When we surrender our life over to God and let him deal with every aspect of our humanity he makes us perfect which biblically means mature. Maturity in Christ says, we can go about each day living sinless and walking in the power and authority of God which brings heaven to earth. Many unfortunately never get to this place due to living out their Christian walk in human efforts and strength. Paul addressed this by saying he didn’t come in human wisdom but in the Power of the Spirit. Look at all Paul was able to accomplish in the Spirit……yet in the flesh he counted all he had gained to be compared to as dung. I am convinced when we take our lives and surrender them to the Lord we will find that God does extraordinary things with us, but it can only happen through humility.

The prayer in the hour is this, Humble us O Lord so that we may do everything to please you and bring Glory to your name.

The reason why not many are being exalted is because they are living for self. Many ministries stay small and insignificant due to leaders failing to relinquish control over to the Spirit of God. Although they may know much about the word they know little about God in a personal way. See anything done outside of love will fail over time. So if the test of life is in how we love, than why do so many fail to enter into a relationship with the one who first loved them? I believe its because we have been taught through traditions of men to look to systems to teach us how to do church rather than looking to the Spirit to learn how to do life. If God has given us all things for life and godliness than all it takes is seeking him to find the process of how to do it. Instead we think if we clean up and show up to a church gathering than we will by some way arrived and we are pardoned from our guilt and shame, this couldn’t be further from the truth but people live like this each week.

In the parable of the sower and the seed we learn this concept of failing to be planted deep in God. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

If there are no deep roots in your relationship with God there will be no fruit in your life. See anyone can believe for a moment but its those who endure till the end that will be saved. I am tired of hearing people in the body of Christ say that living with sin in their life is permissible with God, its not, for God hates sin. God didn’t send his son to die and take on the weight of sin so we could be empowered with the Spirit so we could turn around and live like hell. The message of Grace that condones sin must stop being preached, for its heresy.

God in this hour is wanting his children to walk in the appointed favor of the Lord. As we rest in the Lord by acting in faith and doing what the word commands us to do we will see the Lord sweep through our nation like never before. God is wanting to move in the lives of his children but if your root in him fails to be deep you will do nothing but build your own kingdom here on earth and at the end be sorrowful for you did nothing to advance the Kingdom of God. I feel the righteous indignation that Jesus had when he went into his temple and saw people using his fathers house of prayer for a den of thieves. God has mandated all of us to turn the world upside-down for Jesus and he does it through untrained ordinary men who have merely surrendered to God and said yes to his call on their lives.

WE daily get to choose either life or death, blessings or curses. Lets use the analogy of a man that has a car and drives everyday. Do we think that he gets up each day with the intention to crash his car when he drives? Certainly not, but if he does wreck he has insurance in place to help pay for the damages. Its the same in our Christian walk, the Spirit has been awakened in our hearts and now we get to awake each day empowered not to sin. Its the mindset that says, the same power that raised Christ Jesus from the grave dwells in my mortal body and is championing me to live like Jesus did in the world. This is why 1 John 1:9 is so important for the believer, If we confess our sins……confession before God is critical in walking without sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness……..So you see we have an advocate in Christ Jesus when we do sin just as the man who wrecks his car has in his insurance. The reason so many are walking around in unforgiveness (SIN) is because they fail to find forgiveness from God for their own sins. Every principal of God begins with a vertical relationship with our creator, its out of this friendship with God that we can be horizontally effective in the world around us. We cannot change the world around us until we change the world inside us. So the only way we break free from the bondage of sin is through relationship with God, which means we are going to have to kill some things in our life. Some relationships will have to die, some blocks will have to be put on phones and devices to help our flesh form being pleased. We will have to shut down social media and television for periods of time, we will have to put some food and drinks down for a season. See until we can learn how to make God a priority we don’t get to have the pleasures of life because all they will do is side track us from our purpose on earth. Which our purpose is to have relationship with God and bring Heaven to Earth through our radical lifestyle of Walking in the Spirit. See Jesus said, some demons only come out by prayer and fasting, with this being said when was the last time you put something down that you craved and replaced it with spending time with the Lord? See this is critical in seeing sin irradiated from the believers life, but it takes dying to self. Yes we must die better if we want to see our world better……SELAH

The bible says if your hand, foot or eye causes you to sin than cut it off or pluck it out, for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. The things you see, touch and walk to are the mechanisms that have the power to cast us into hell, so since Jesus said this don’t we think we should be super careful of where we go, what we touch and what we allow to be seen through our eye gate? Why would anyone in Christ think its ok to be delivered from hell and sin and think that God isn’t powerful enough to keep us delivered from walking in THE sin that once so easily entangled us and made us enemies with him to begin with? HE WOULDN’T!!!! ITS TIME TO STOP PLAYING CHURCH AND ITS TIME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR LAND, PEOPLE ARE DYING AND GOING TO HELL ALL AROUND US AND WE HAVE THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE. BUT SINCE WE FAIL TO APPLY THEM TO OUR HEARTS WE LOOK NO DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD Its ok to not be ok but its not ok to stay there…….I understand that we all fall short of the glory of God and that from time to time we will miss the mark. For all sin is, is finding identity outside of God. But for the saved man or woman to blatantly sin and think nothing of it, all the while claiming to be saved and going to church weekly is not what Christ died for. The bible says in 2 Peter 2:21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Its time to start waking up each day with the expectation that God is going to move in a powerful way through you and that you are free to live from the bondage of sin.

A CALL TO HOPE

For many of us who have attended church for any period of time has heard Galatians 6:9 quoted many times, So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Its a word that that helps keep us focused on the prize which is found in Christ the HOPE OF GLORY. For every believer the word HOPE is so important beacause its one of the three words words that the Lord used to help communicate to his children where we need to draw strength from.

In 1 Corinthians 13 after the Lord teaches us about agape love Paul sums up the passage by stating, So now faith, hope and love ABIDE, these three, but the greatest of these is LOVE.

So we find that although LOVE may be the greatest we must marry his love with faith and HOPE. How awesome is the picture in the word about the Trinity which bind themselves together in unity. We too as the church must learn how to translate that unity into our everyday lives. When we wake up with these three words in mind FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE we will find ourselves living in heavenly places and bringing heaven to earth.

When our confidence lies in the fact that we are hoping for something greater than our current state we will now shift our actions to line up with what we are CALLED to be chasing after. Many times what happens is we let our trials or past hurts dictate our reality and this is not the power we have in CHRIST JESUS. Paul makes this great statement about Jesus when he says, For the JOY set before him he endured the cross. So Jesus endured the trials and didn’t grow weary by tapping into the ETERNAL HOPE which caused all mankind before him and after him to be free from the grip of sin. The Lord is desiring us to look at our trials as a stepping stones to bring about the glory of God in our life, this is the HOPE that we carry within our hearts. So its in Christ the HOPE of GLORY that brings us into a place that will allow us to soar over what once would of crushed us in our carnality. We must realize that the byproduct of HOPE is JOY and this JOY comes from having a personal relationship with the LORD. I know that when we become discouraged or frustrated with anything that is happening in our life its because we are trying to do things in our own strength and not his. When we live from a place of tapping into an eternal perspective it sets us free from instant gratification. Jesus was focused on the result of his obedience and thats what kept him pure and this is the same mindset we should have.

The greatest HOPE for believer is living for all eternity with the Lord in heaven and when we lose sight of this we stand the chance of becoming jaded by everyday challenges that we all face on a daily basis. This is why Galatians 6:9 is so critical because if we forget what we are working towards we will get distracted by the negativity that surrounds us daily.

If we think in terms of farming and the work that it takes to go through the process of receiving a harvest it helps us to translate that into our daily lives. Why would a farmer spend all the time, effort and finances to receive a harvest and half way through get weary and just throw in the towel? He doesn’t, he works through the pain and stays true to the process. The farmer also has other people that help him, he doesn’t just do it alone because the task would be too overwhelming for one person. The same stands true in our faith walk with God, it takes other people united with us in order for us to obtain the prize of the harvest. I know for my life many of my crops failed as a result of being disconnected from the body of Christ. When the word says not to forsake the gathering of the saints its not a request its a command, mainly because God knows for us to receive the blessing of the harvest it takes people working together.

WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER

There is no greater joy than partnering with other believers and seeing them go from striving to thriving. When we get HOPE for our life it now becomes contagious and those around us benefit from our VICTORIES. My prayer is that we will become so consumed with FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE for one another that our relationships continue to go from glory to glory instead of living just mediocre stagnant lives.

ENTERING INTO THE TRUE REST

The below passages that we will visit TODAY are meant to bring awareness to every believer that TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION AND ITS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE AND WE ARE CALLED TO REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT. For many this concept has been made aware to our mind but has failed to transform the heart. In no way am I condemning anyone in particular but the fact remains, we are all able to live in the Fathers TRUE REST day after day

! Let me take a moment to explain before we dive into the text found in HEBREWS 3.

When we fail to live in TODAY we will find ourselves getting pulled down by the undercurrent of our past failures and victories. When the people we are associating with constantly brings up our past to malign our name we must recognize that this is a spirit that is working through the individual. Remembering this truth will help us navigate through the offense so that we respond in love not hate. When the FOCUS is on TODAY we can better manage our responses to things that will come our way knowing that GODS MERCIES ARE NEW EACH DAY!!! This is great news because it frees us from condemnation which is what the enemy loves to throw into the believers thoughts. When we start out each day knowing that the only one who can throw me into hell has already forgiven and forgot about my sin it brings a refreshing that should set us on the right path for the day. Remember when Jesus sent out the disciples two by two? They were called to leave their bag, purse and sandals showing us that the power they had been given by God was enough. When they came back they were amazed that the demons were subject to them, teaching us that no power of darkness can overthrow the believer that is found in Gods rest and peace. Remember the focus is on LIVING IN TODAY AND IN THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT. JESUS response is what we need to get in our spirit, DON’T BE GLAD THAT THE SPIRITS ARE SUBJECT TO YOU BE GLAD YOUR NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE. This revelation will help keep us humble as we begin to live in the Lords rest each and every day. We will see in the text in Hebrews that we are not to recieve any glory for living in the power and authority of God, that all POWER and GLORY is found in our Heavenly Father. PRIDE is one of the greatest oppositions that hold the believer back from moving from anxiety to rest.

HEBREWS 3

1And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God anda are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest. 2For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entirec house.

WE BELONG TO GOD AND ARE PARTNERS WITH THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US AND ARE NOW IN HEAVEN.

WE HAVE TO BE FAITHFUL TO GOD FIRST NOT MAN IN ORDER TO ENTER GODS TRUE REST.

3But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself. 4For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.

JESUS NEEDS TO BE OUR PRIORITY

DONT PRAISE PEOPLE AND THE WORKS OF OUR HANDS

PRAISE GOD WHO BUILT EVERYTHING

Until we come into agreement with the TRINITY we may have works but they will be dead works because we put more emphasis on what we can do instead of what God can do. We can easily fall into the trap of glorifying people, places and things and when this occurs we will find that what we praise becomes the barrier that keeps us from entering into Gods holy rest.

5Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. 6But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.

HERE IS A CONDITION, IF WE KEEP OUR COURAGE AND REMAIN CONFIDENT IN OUR HOPE IN CHRIST WE WILL STAY A PART OF GODS HOUSE.

CHRIST IS IN CHARGE AND WHEN WE RENOUNCE HIS AUTHORITY WE GET SUCKED BACK INTO A LIFE OF NO PEACE.

KEEP OUR COURAGE/REMAIN CONFIDENT IN OUR HOPE IN CHRIST

Take courage is the word we read in Joshua 1:9 about the thought process of the LEADER GOD USED TO TAKE THE CHILDREN INTO THE PLACE OF PROMISE.

SATAN TRYS TO DESTROY OUR COURAGE WITH UNBELIEF/SATAN USES OUR PAST FAILURES TO PAINT A NEGATIVE PICTURE OF JESUS WHICH LEADS US TO DOUBT JESUS ABILITY TO BRING US INTO REST/WITHOUT HOPE WE ARE SURE TO QUIT SO THE ENEMY WORKS OVERTIME TO GET US IN A DEFEATED MINDSET.

7That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, 8 don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

REBELION IS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT/THIS IS A HEART ISSUE THAT MUST BE REMOVED BY PLACING TRUST IN THE LORD AND SPENDING TIME WITH HIM/ITS IN HIS PRESENCE WE FIND HEALING

WE HARDEN OUR HEARTS TOWARDS THE LORD WHEN HE SPEAKS TO US AND WE CHOOSE TO IGNORE HIM.

WHO ARE WE TO TEST GOD FOR HE MADE US WE DID NOT MAKE OURSELVES.

9There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years.10So I was angry with them, and I said, ‘Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’

WITHOUT REPENTANCE NO ONE WILL ENTER INTO GODS PEACE.

WHEN WE SIT BACK AND WATCH GOD WORKING IN OUR LIVES AND REFUSE TO ALLOW HIM TO CHANGE OUR HEARTS IT LEADS TO DEATH

ITS A HEART ISSUE WHEN WE FAIL TO ENTER INTO GODS REST, STOP BLAMING GOD FOR WHERE YOUR AT ITS OUR CHOICE TO LIVE IN FREEDOM

11So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”

THIS IS AN OT EXAMPLE OF GODS ANGER. AS WE FILTER THIS THROUGH THE CROSS WE FIND BC OF JESUS WE HAVE ACCESS TO ENTER BACK INTO HIS REST.

THIS REVELATION HINGES ON THE APPLICATION OF THE TRUTH THAT WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN.

12Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.f Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. 13You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

ITS UP TO US TO CHECK OUR HEART AND APPLY WHAT THE LORD HAS SO FREELY MADE US AWARE TO.

REMEMBER JESUS SAID ONLY BELIEVE AND YOU WILL BE SAVED AND THIS ISNT A ONE TIME OCCURRENCE. ITS DAILY LIVING IN THE MOMENT AND KEEPING OUR HEART SET ON THE TRUTH OF GODS WORD

WARNING EACH OTHER DAILY IS KEY TO ENTERING INTO THE REST THAT GOD HAS INTENDED FOR EACH BELIEVER.

WHEN WE GET OUT OF FELLOWSHIP WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST WE ARE SUBJECT TO BELIEVING THE LIE RATHER THAN THE TRUTH.

FAITHFUL TO THE END IS KEY FOR THE WORD SAYS HE WHO ENDURES TILL THE END WILL BE SAVED. THE TIMES OF LIVING IN RELIGION ARE OVER AND WE MUST ASK THE LORD TO REMOVE OUR HEART OF STONE AND TRADE IT IN FOR THE PROMISE.....A HEART OF FLESH!!!!!

15Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

REJECTING THE TRUTH THAT GOD HAS SPOKEN CONCERNING YOU DOES CAUSE YOUR HEART TO BECOME CALLOUS LEADING TO REBELLION.

DONT WORRY ABOUT YESTERDAY OR TOMORROW BUT LIVE IN TODAY AND LET GOD BREAK OFF EVERY CHAIN OF UNBELIEF.

16And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? 17And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? 18And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? 19So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

UNBELIEF LEADS TO DISOBEDIENCE

THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED TO LEAD US OUT OF THE OLD AND INTO THE NEW TEND TO BE THE PEOPLE THAT GET THE BRUNT OF OUR ANGER.

STOP BEING MAD AT PEOPLE AND FOCUSING YOUR ENERGY ON NEGATIVITY. LIVE FOR TODAY AND KEEP YOUR AFFECTIONS FOCUSED ON CHRIST AND YOU WILL FIND THE PEACE THAT YOU SO DESPERATELY DESIRE

LET me recap what we have just read and studied. Let us never forget that we have no ability to enter in Gods rest if we forget or are not reminded of all his benefits. What the enemy focuses in on is how good the old days were and how life was so much easier when we were living under bondage. For did not the Israelites remind one another of their former days in bondage and how good those days were. Negativity will always throw us out of peace and into confusion. When we begin to glorify the places that the Lord redeemed us from we set ourselves up for a fall. We cannot expect to glorify sin and reject Gods blessing and think we will walk in his power and might. Unless we come into agreement with the Lord in every aspect of our lives we will continue to have the wrong perspective leading us away from our destiny which is found only in relationship with God. Since Jesus only did what he saw and heard his Father doing he was able to bring the forces of the Kingdom of God in the earthly realm. When we walk daily in response to what the Lord is doing we will find our position in God can not be replaced by any momentary pleasure that this world would promise to give us. We are called to be just like Jesus in this life and to walk in signs and wonders and release the Kingdom of God in the earth. Those that are failing to experience his transforming power in their life need to humble themselves before God and really get serious about all that he has given us access to. When we allow the distractions of what is going around us to determine how we will live we will never live the abundant life that God has promised us. We are in a season of turning off the worldly distractions and redirecting our hearts back to the Lord so he can soften our hearts and get us believing we were made to reign and rule here on earth.

The harvest is great but the laborers are few............

Finding Humility in the Wilderness

Many times God will bring us into a place where we are all alone to reveal to us who we really are. Over the past few months the Lord has showed me who I am in the flesh vs who I am in a relationship with the him. Being disciplined and pruned by the Lord is never fun but it is rewarding as we begin to heed his correction. If we forget the truth that says that God is for us not against us we will miss what the Lord is doing most of the time in our life.

What looks like rejection in the flesh is supposed to look like freedom in the spirit for every believer.

We all have to take hold of this word and realize that if we are going through the fire its for our purification not for our destruction. When we begin to fear the Fire of God in our life its a sure sign that we are operating in rebellion. Far too many times I have been trapped in this prideful mindset and it has taken me down roads that I never of dreamed I would go down. Today I am wanting the Lord to turn the heat up 7 times hotter so all that is evil in me will be purged away. In the book of Hosea the Lord reveals that he will allure us into the wilderness and speak kind things to us. As we get alone with God and just pour our heart to him we find strength that we never thought we had. Maybe your being allured by God right now like me and are in a difficult place. Well hold on and be of good cheer and let not the lies of the darkness torment you any longer, for when light comes in darkness must flee. Yes have I missed the mark and been made to feel like a complete failure by those who call themselves Christ followers. But this spirit does not come from God but comes from demonic assignments that try to suck the life out of those who can destroy his pathetic army.

When the Lord takes you into his secret place and speaks love and affirmation to you he does it to prune off the evil so that good can grow. We all long for acceptance from God first and humanity second although we get it backwards and this is many times where we miss the mark. We cannot expect for our needs to get met by anyone outside of the Fathers love, for when we do we find ourselves wanting more and more from people who were never meant to be our validation.

As the Lord began to speak to me in the wilderness he clarified that all I needed was him and he would fill me. Its out of this revelation that signs and wonders begin to happen through the believers life. Its not as a result of how great we are but all because we humbled ourselves and said yes to him to capture our hearts. When you hunger and thirst after righteousness you will be filled the Lord says, but what are we chasing after really? See in the wilderness is where the Lord curves our appetite to long after what he desires. The momentum that is created in this place is what takes us into realms that we would never dare to go to while living in our religious boxes.

Humility is about getting low and exchanging our weakness for his strength.

This truth goes against everything that our flesh longs and desires to do while living in our carnal nature. Its only when that carnality is stripped away by fellowship with our creator that we can walk in such a way that our faith will trump our prideful nature. We have now a new nature in Christ, a nature that is alive and free to live for righteousness sake. Anyone can sin and walk according to the flesh but its those that who choose daily to follow Christ in humility that inherit the blessings of the Lord. Its time for us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God so he can lift us up in due season. Remember God rejects the proud but gives grace to the humble. I would rather beat my flesh into submission and be miserable for a season on earth than to burn for all eternity in hell. The progression of dying to the flesh looks like this, first its a discipline which becomes a desire leading to us finally delighting ourselves in doing the will of the Lord.

Fighting from Heavenly Places

For as long as I can remember nothing in life has come easy for me each and every day I have fought to be someone that people would look up to. Consistency has never been a great strength for me which makes fighting a never ending battle each day. For many of us we fight a spiritual battle by using earthly tools which causes people to burn out. As for me I have learned what the Spiritual tools are I just continue to allow performance to rule my emotions. This leads to a perpetual cycle of not being enough and feeling rejection by anyone I come into contact with. Anytime that we are disconnected from the trinity we will be utterly disappointed season after season.

Wholeness can only be found in Christ and outside his affirmation nothing can truly fill the void in our heart.

For me I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good, but I have also turned my back on the faith and more times than I wish to admit lived in the pleasures of pleasing my flesh rather than my spirit. Now I know what Jesus felt in the garden when those closest to him fell asleep not once but three times. This shows that humanity will let us down and we look to people to fulfill us we end up very broken and alone.

We cannot fight the enemy while living in isolation, for we have not been called to walk alone but walk with people. Many times the past pain from relationships causes us to just go through the motions in life never truly living in the purpose that God has for our life. If the enemy can get you defeated through offenses he knows that you will never be a threat to his kingdom. If we fail to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ we will live saved but not being able to consistently walk in freedom.

Christ brings edification to the body and the Spirit in each of us validates his word which is good not evil, it lifts up not destroys.

Do we forget that we were made to rule as Kings and Queens in this life. Its hard to fight from our rightful position in Heavenly Places if we have not the Mind of Christ. See we are seated in Heaven and its in that place we fight from. All throughout the word battles were won as a result of the Mighty Hand of God delivering the people of God. All we are called to do is obey his word, yet if we like Samuel are unable to recognize his voice, how will we live out our purpose on earth? We don’t………..we just let the cares of the world choke out the word that was intended to free us. satan knows how to distort the word, he has been doing it since the beginning of time. He does come as an angel of light, this is why we must know the Fathers voice.

For me I have to remember I am fighting the good fight of Faith and that no one is going to be perfect everyday. We must learn it’s about Fighting from his goodness not about fighting for our position.

Isn’t it the Holy Spirit that God entrusted his word to? For without the Spirit all the disciples could do was wait in the upper room and only as the Fire of the Spirit came upon man that they moved out into the streets with boldness proclaiming Gods word. Here is the problem for humanity, until the Fire of the Spirit wrecks our hearts we will never have boldness to go into our rightful places of influence and help people find the same freedom we have found in him.

As I think about fighting from heaven instead of fighting from the systems of this world that forever try to shape our thinking, I am reminded that without constant relationship with the Lord I will live a defeated life. Until the Lord becomes my only focus I will not be able to find the freedom that I so desperately desire. The fight is not hard when your resting in the Father and walking in obedience to him. It’s in this place you find freedom, peace, forgiveness, love and all the other fruit of the Spirit that God has called us to walk in. Remember the way of the sinner is hard but those who walk obedient to the Lord will find peace.

I know that for much of my life I have been fighting in my own strength which is destined me to fail every time. I start out on the path towards God but after a short time I am distracted and led astray by things that have tormented me since I was a child. I am ashamed most days for not applying what the Lord has revealed to me through his spirit. I still make decisions based on feeling and emotions rather than based on what I know God would have me to do. In this current season I am learning to fight the battle against evil by daily just surrendering all I’m not for all that he is. All things are possible to those that believe……..

I have to believe that who he has called me to be is greater than my past failures.

I have lived in the grips of failing so much, why should I even try. This defeated mindset has caused myself and many around me to become very wounded. For this reason do I make it my aim to learn to fight the good fight of faith and take my life and present it Holy before the Lord daily. He is faithful and longs to see that not one perishes but that all come to abundant life in him. So this is my cry, my declaration that says that the days of my past will be swallowed up by Gods love flowing through me. I will once again have eyes to see Gods goodness, ears to hear his voice and a mouth that speaks his words.

Our actions do speak louder than words though and when we walk out his word consistently God gives us the opportunity to represent him not on platforms and stages but as a living proof of his very nature. He who surrenders their life over to the Lord daily will walk in peace no matter what it looks like around you. Remember those that are for us are greater than those against us. This Old Testament principal teaches us that we do have an angelic army of God that is warring on our behalf. We also have a great cloud of witnesses that are cheering us on in the bandstands of heaven. Finally their is Jesus who lived perfect yes a sinless life and who now makes intercession for the Saints. This battle can be won as we humble ourselves and remind ourselves daily that we are more than Conquers through Christ Jesus our Lord. Why is it than we take the gifts that God gave us and try to use what he gave us to become our own gods. I know I am guilty of this and pray that I use his gifts for his glory not mine.

Good is greater than Evil, its just we are so exposed to evil all around us in our culture that it becomes our focus instead of him.

God is seeking for people to say no to the ways of the world and get closer to him each moment of everyday. As we do this we are able to fight the Good fight in the Army of the Lord. God is wanting to raise up and give his sons and daughters the manifold wisdom of his majesty. Its such a privilege to be in the Army of the Lord and to fight for good knowing end the end we win!!!! As our eyes are fixed on him we will truly find what it means to be of good cheer in the midst of the Fight, knowing that Jesus overcome the world so we could live in his Power. The days of living defeated lives are over, I am the Kings kid. Selah………
