Guide to composite charts

The composite chart is a method used in astrology to know the dynamics of a relationship and to know both the positive ones and those that can be worked on. The method of midpoints is used to create this chart, since it is a way of "mixing" or "joining" the energies of the planets of both people to see how they get along with other planets, this with the purpose of seeing their dynamic, as previously stated.

🟫What’s the difference between a Synastry Chart and a Composite chart?

The clearest difference is that in the synastry chart we use two charts, yours and the other person's, while the Composite chart is a single chart.

In the synastry chart we compare your natal planets with the planets of the other person to find out how you get along as individuals, on your own without needing to be in a relationship. While in the Composite Chart we study the dynamics of you as a couple/relationship of any kind. It tells us about the way the relationship works and possible problems that may arise.

🟫Can I use the Composite chart for a relationship that it’s not romantic?

Yes you can! You can observe, analyze and study any relationship. Whether it's romantical, friendship, familiar, platonic or fictional. Just like the synastry.

🟫Next, a brief explanation of the meaning of some points of this chart and posts that I have made regarding each one. [This post will be in constant editing, because I want to cover several points in depth, for now we only have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Rising and MC, but I plan to do the other planets until I reach Saturn and one or another significant point].

Love Languages & Astrology

I think that nowadays we are very aware of love languages, and to be honest, the topic has attracted my attention for a long time. I decided to make this post in which I connect some placements with the 5 love languages.

Before we start, what are love languages? Where does this theory come from?

In 1992, a book written by Gary Chapman was published, which established the five love languages that we express both for friends and couples [in general loved ones]. I was reading that there are people who say that there are 7 love languages, personally I limit myself to talking about the classic five, which are: Words of affirmation, Acts of service, Gift giving, Physical touch and Quality time.

Words of Affirmation

🤎Those with Leo placements are very likely to have this as the main love language, and they constantly need verbal reassurance. They are aces at flirting, so the best thing is for their partners to be flirtatious too. Many of them value and treasure compliments, especially regarding their efforts and abilities.

🤎Gemini Venus/Moons or Venus in the 3rd house are said to have this and they have the gift of speech and can easily move others. However, in their case it does not only apply in the sense of compliments and words of encouragement, they need fluid, heart-to-heart conversations with those they love most. They like having constant and stable communication, they are not fans of people who talk a lot to them one day and don't answer the next.

🤎People with Moon in Air signs are usually the kind of people who save letters and read them on various occasions, favorite messages from that special person and love to talk for hours with their special people. For them there are no awkward silences or boring conversations when it comes to those they love. They will ask many questions and want to get to know their partner in every way. Many of them may love receiving or writing poetry about those they love. I must say that it is something I have seen very frequently in Libra Moons.

🤎When it comes to this love language, I think we can talk about the influence of Mars and Moon. Having Moon and/or Mars dominant or highly aspected can indicate a desire to touch, feel, and be close to your partner on many levels. Mars rules sexual desire and intimacy, while the Moon shows affection and different types of intimacy and closeness.

🤎Cancer Moon needs to feel that closeness with their partner, whether emotionally or physically [preferably both]. They love gestures of tenderness. They sense when their partner needs a hug or a caress, they are very good at reading their partner's needs, for this reason, they will feel delighted with a person who is similar in this aspect. ARIES RISING

Looks tense like somebody just said something stupid. A lot of them have a widows peak or just a very square hairline to draw attention to their head. The hairline can sometimes be so good it looks like they are wearing a wig, and not only in the forhead but the whole hairline even behind the ears looks super good. They can have a high forhead like Rihanna whos an Aries Rising. There tend to be a ”bitchiness” to them but at the same time they got this innocence to them. Some of them have a babyface while some of them have a more sharp and angular look. Men with this rising sign can have hairline shaped like an M. Might also start to bald early. Some of them might have red tints to their hair or beard and freckles are also common(depends on cultural background tho) Might have oily skin or very ”leather” like texture to the skin. These peoples hair is usually very prominent which is who they can easily be mistaken for a Leo Rising. If they have a lot of Mars squares in their chart they can be very confrontational with a lack of filter. They look very good in anything sporty and tight. These people might have people wanting beef with them because they can come across as cocky or rude when they are not. There is something very respectable with them especially when they have a Capricorn Midheaven. Like you really want them to like you. They also have the most gorgeous eyebrows and face shapes. TAURUS RISING

Can have a cleft chin or a cleft on the nose to show ”hey im parted” or a mole on only one side of the face but very close to the middle of the face to show ”here is where the other side of be begins”. Does Saturn really hate us? Thoughts from a Cap Rising.

If you're in the astrology community, you've probably heard a lot of discourse about Saturn and how tough of a planet it is. Many say it's the planet of limiting beliefs, how you give and get revenge for maltreatment, and where you receive your toughest lessons. Which isn't wrong, but I think Saturn gets a bit of a bad rep.

Saturn is there to help you. He assists in identifying the parts of our lives that we struggle with the most. Saturn is there to protect you. Saturn holds you to your highest potential. He sees all that you have the capability to become and he pushes you to get there. By any means necessary.

Saturn ruled signs and people with heavy Saturn placements (Capricorn and Aquarius) are pushed slightly harder than everyone else. Think of them like the older sibiling that's holding the family together. Heavy Capricorn and Aquarius placements aren't held to the same standards as the rest of their family (maybe with the exception of Pluto, but that's another topic for another day).

You get what you give

When Capricorn and Aquarius placements harm others, Saturn makes sure that he holds them accountable. It can seem harsh, but from a young age, people with Saturn placements usually learn quickly to live from a set value system to avoid turmoil.

They may also end up on the receiving end of lies from those they care about

4th House: Home, neighborhood, hometown, family, self-care, emotions, mother, children, femininity

This person may struggle with feelings of hopelessness. They may struggle with seeing the way out of a bad situation. They can struggle with lack of emotional support, poor self-care practices, trouble with their childhood or their mother, and they could even be battling their own wounded divine feminine energy (we all have masculine and feminine energy).

5th House: Romance, love, affairs, play, creativity, joy, self-expression.

They may have their creative work judged harshly or have a hard time navigating romantic endeavors. They may have their joy taken from them or they could have a form of their own self expression ripped away. Instead of self expression causing peace, it could humiliate them instead. They may struggle with their confidence or they may find it difficult to connect to their inner child.

6th House: Health, fitness, systems, pets, work habits, organization, services, feeling useful.

If they slack off at work or take credit for a project you accomplished, they may find themselves demoted or criticized by your boss. Their system of organization could be a victim to the consequences of their wrongdoings. They may struggle with the confidence at it relates to their job or any services they provide others.

7th House: Relationships, marriage, contracts, business partners, interpersonal style.

They may encounter struggles in business agreements or among business associates. They may experience a change in relationship status that they weren't expecting. They could have contracts fall through or business deals might not work out. They may even experience a crisis regarding their fashion decisions.

8th House: Intimacy, shared finances, inheritance, taxes, loans, assets, property, goals.

This person may have trouble connecting with others emotionally or romantically. They could have disputes on inheritances or may receive a bill from the IRS about taxes they didn't pay. Their goals can fall flat and any assets they have may be subject to criticism or legal matters.

9th House: Travel, wisdom, philosophy, higher education, law, religion, learning ethics, cross-cultural relations.

Someone that tries to harm you may find themselves caught up in an existential crisis. They may be questioning their faith, their values, their ethics, and even their perspective of how they view the world. They may end up in legal troubles or their grades may suffer if they're enrolled in school.

10th House: Career, long-term goals, status, reputation, public image, masculinity, fathers, fame.

If a person treats you wrong, they may soon find their reputation being called into question. They may struggle with achieving goals that once came easy to them. They could struggle with the career trajectory and the positive influence their name once held may disappear.

11th House: Groups, friends, social awareness, humanitarianism, technology, hopes, wishes for the future.

Friend groups may dissolve. They could be kicked out of their friend groups. They may struggle with understanding how they fit in socially (note: this would not be due to autism or neurodivergency. This would be for a person that once knew their social standing and then suddenly didn't after experiencing a falling out with friends.).

12th House: Endings, healing, closure, spirituality, solitude, old age, afterlife, limiting beliefs, subconscious.

They may experience nightmares or an opportunity may be taken out of their reach. They may struggle to find closure and experience more limiting beliefs than they were before.
