Heyo! I've been playing on the V3 of Amberlight pretty much since it came out, and have been a big fan lol. I understand that you were *potentially* making an Apocalypse V4? I understand if that is not a big priority but from the few indicators I've seen the plan was a May-June release this year? if so I will totally download it haha! Hope you're having a good Easter btw :)

So sorry, just now saw this message! Amberlight city v4 is unfortunately still being completed. Hoping to release it within a month or so, just need to finish up some interiors and refreshes. Apocalypse v4 will come a few months after the release of v4, very excited to get started on that!

Amberlight City v2 not apocalypse plantetmc page seems to have been taken down, do you know why that is?

The non apocalyptic v2 page turned into the v3 page. The main version is just updated over time without getting their own pages between them. You can download v2 here and find an archive of the v2 page here.

Is this still active?

Yes! v4 has been delayed again but it will be finished around the end of 2024. An apocalyptic version might come out around May 2025 as well. v4 has turned into the biggest update to the city yet, everything has been overhauled from small unimportant shops to large areas of terrain. New districts have been formed, as well as a complete metro system that finally spans the whole city. More sneak peeks coming soon...

Amberlight v4 Status

Amberlight City v4 is still under production, and is planned for release around August 2024. While the original release was planned for 2023, v4 has been much more ambitious than the original plans. Expect a complete metro overhaul, new towers, more details, and fixed issues that plagued v3. More details to come soon!

Can you survive in an abandoned city full of monsters? Amberlight city v3 Apocalypse is a huge fully detailed overgrown city map for Minecraft 1.19.4. Buildings are furnished, and plenty of loot is to be found! This map is not based off of v2 Apocalypse and is an entirely new abandoned city based off of Amberlight v3. v3 brings Amberlight Apocalypse into the current version, 1.19.4, and is not compatible with older versions of minecraft. Your helicopter has crashed on a mysterious island, but unlike most mysterious islands this one has an entire abandoned city on it! 21 years ago, Amberlight began to experience unknown events, causing the population to decline and society to collapse. Can you find out what happened to the city? v3 of the map is almost a complete overhaul, and is fully compatible and designed for Minecraft 1.19.4 & up. Have fun exploring! Why darkwoods fall down

Southern Amberlight (the Darkwood district) has a complex history. Beginning as a few humble neighborhoods in the late 1800's, the Darkwood neighborhood, Southpatch neighborhood, and the Upper Lone Pine area grew massively in the 70s and 80s. The center of it was the charming downtown Darkwood area, and in the 80's most of southern Amberlight was formed into the new Darkwood district by a man named James Satchel. Working for GLC, he had been putting most of his money into the infrastructure of Darkwood and establishment of businesses. With the sudden disappearance of Satchel in the mid 90's most of the funds for the district dried up as it was unable to support itself. Despite the closure of businesses and rise in crime, the Darkwood area had a relatively large population from its boom in the 70's that it also found itself unable to support. Neglected by the city government and dismissed by the citizens, Darkwood has essentially been left to fend for itself while being surrounded by wealth.

Amberlight City v3.1 has released!

This update brings quite a lot, despite a similar appearance to v3. Details have been added everywhere to make the city more alive, and a plethora of buildings and towers have been updated or reworked.

Amberlight city v3.1 aims to make the city feel more welcoming, busy, and diverse. Most major areas have been fully detailed and have unique content to their area. There are also 2 new towers in the midtown district, slowly gobbling up the suburban areas around it. Roads have been modified to feel more natural in certain parts of the map, as well as terrain looking more natural and greener in the city itself. Areas outside the city have been detailed more, in addition to fixing multiple issues that were present in v3 (thanks to those who pointed them out!). Multiple towers received overhauls or modifications to make the design better as well. In addition, a bedrock version of the map based on early v3.1 is on the way!

Stay tuned for an upcoming map in early 2023, something tells me v3 isn’t safe from the apocalypse either...
