FINALLY I got to spend some time #inthestudio this morning! Today I worked #allaprima getting the colors and shape #intheflow. At the beginning of this #timelapseart video you may notice a wobble. That was me spilling an ENTIRE bottle of #grumbacher stand oil on the carpet. I panicked 😳 I could care less about the carpet... SAVE THE OIL!! #thisiswhywecanthavenicethings

Omg what a week 😳It feels so good to be back #inthestudio this morning. I struggle to make time for painting when life gets demanding and let me tell you this week has thrown every curve ball at me! I find myself walking longingly past my closed studio door as I am rushing around with #momlife, my #antiquebooth and my inability to say no when others need a helping hand. BUT I peeled myself out of bed to get in these final #littledetails and I am happy to say this #littlelovely is ready to be #adopted. As she dries in preparation for her final #varnish you can DM me to make her yours. Once dried and varnished she will be made available in my online shop 🌸

Here is a quick little #timelapse of 🌸Beauty becomes the Beast🌸 getting her second #deadlayer. I was hesitant on this step and actually scrapped several hours of work before committing to a more muted #underpainting layer. Stepping into color too soon often will lead to an unfortunate turpentine bath in my studio. I'm super late on this one for @mabgraves #mabsdrawlloweenclub I present: Bride of #mothman. She was hiding in the drapes of my bedroom and she just jumped out at me.
