Chrissy wandered into the woods, Two of Hearts playing in her ears, her pulse quickening with every step. She needed to escape, needed space to breathe. That’s when she saw Eddie, leaning against a tree, eyes sharp and curious.

“Chrissy Cunningham,” he smirked. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”

She pulled out an earbud, the song still echoing faintly. “Needed a break.”

He stepped closer, his voice low. “From what?”

“Everything,” she whispered.

He smiled, softer now. “You don’t have to pretend out here.”

The tension between them crackled, hearts beating in time with the song. Neither wanted to leave.
