Nico’s post rehearsal adrenaline hadn’t started waning yet.  His ears were still ringing from the amps as he animatedly chatted with their drummer about the small tour they were getting ready for.  It wasn’t much: just a handful of east coast dates but it was their first time taking their act on the road.  Nico was feeling optimistic.  

“No worries, man.  I’m going to take the van to get looked at before he hit the roa–”

Before he could finish his thought his sister was piping up and Nico threw his arm around her shoulder, using his height advantage to tug her close in a mock headlock.  Nico quickly loosened his grip, but kept his arm around her.  “Yeah, about that.  I may or may not be banned from that place.  Jeff and I got into a salsa related food fight that got quickly out of hand.

“We should hit Agave though!  They got nickel shots and bottomless nachos.  Plus, the hostesses love me,” he added with a wiggle of his eyebrows.  

“You are kidding,” Rosa grumbled, clearly annoyed with the fact that she wasn’t going to get her tequila shots after such a bombtastic rehearsal. “Why, dios mio, would you throw salsa at Hefe? Aren’t you better off making him drink it after you put hot sauce all over it?” Shaking her head, she forced her way out of Nico’s headlock and grabbed her guitar case.

“Agave, fine. Nickel shots are on you. The hostesses love you only because they haven’t met me yet.” Her red lips curved up into a smirk at the thought. Any group of ladies was in major trouble as soon as any Solano walked into a room, that much was obvious. As much as Rosa didn’t think her brother had much game, she knew they made a good team of wing-personing each other.

“Anybody else want to come?” She asked, but was greeted with a series of nos from the rest of the band. Probably because she and Nico could drink any one of them under the table. “Okay, Solano family outing, here we go!”

Drunk Jesus rehearsal (honestly, she would kill someone to change the name to High Mary Magdalene but hey, Rosa wasn’t going to complain) had just ended, and Rosa was more than happy to go ahead and annoy her most favorite foster brother. With her guitar safely put away back in its case, the humidifier in place and her picks safely tucked into the side pocket, she was all set to go and grab dinner.

“Where do you want to grab a bite?” She asked, not so casually interrupting Nico’s conversation. It didn’t matter who he was talking to, considering she thought herself to be more worthy of the attention. That was Rosa in a nutshell, though, and everyone knew it. “It’s Thursday, which means that place that almost makes guac as amazing as you do it having Tequila Thursday, and I am literally always down for a margarita.”
