Hello! What are the titles of Anna Astrid? And when she'll be christening? Thank you! ❤

Hello! Well that’s not an easy question. We know for sure that she’ll have the title Archduchess Anna Astrid of Austria. What we also know is that she doesn’t have the title Princess of Belgium. Some say she has the title Princess of Saxe-Coburg. I don’t expect Anna Astrid to do any official events so I don’t think her parents are concerned about her title. The date of the christening hasn’t been announced yet and I’m not sure if they will. Prince and Princess Amedeo are very private and I’m not sure they want the press at the christening. Well in the press interview when Amedeo had revealed the name he then said that the little girl was named after her grandmothers ( * I think he included Lili's mother too , at least that's what I understood while still being débutant in french ). So if it is really correct it is also strange because everywhere since their wedding , Lili 's mother has always been called Lilia of Smechia. So is the name Anna an homage to whom ? Hi Joyce! I’m so sorry for the late reply. Lili’s mother is officially named Countess Anna Maria de Smecchia but everyone calls her "Lilia". So Anna is a homage to her grandmother. I hope this helps. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

So if the title of Archduchess is not used in Belgium, what do you think she will be referred to in Belgium? Would it be something like Anna de Belgique? Or would the surname come from Amedeo's father's side? Sorry for the annoying questions. I know it's complicated.

Hi! She will probably be known as Anna Astrid van België/ de Belgique. I'm sure Amedeo and Lili are going to hide her from the press so I don't think she'll ever be in the public sphere after her Christening. So in the end I don't think her parents really care what kind of title she has.

Hello! Yes her full title will be: HI&RH Archduchess Anna Astrid of Austria-Este. However her title of Archduchess is not used in Belgium but she still has it. We know for sure that she will never have the title of Princess. It's a decision by the King.Haha I know. This is so typically the Belgian Royal court. Their communication is really bad. If they could just make a press release and everything would be a lot easier :)

It's something new for us. We're a little nervous but it's fantastic. It's a new life that begins.

The whole family has already visited the hospital to meet our daughter. Except for my 2 sisters who live in England but they will be visiting over the weekend.

Prince Amedeo, Elisabetta and their daughter left the hospital today. They also announced their daughter’s name. The little girl will be known as “HI&RH Anna Astrid of Austria-Este.”

What is Elisabetta's official title?

That's a good question. It's not really clear. The court uses different titles such as "Princess Elisabetta" on a thank you card but Princess Amedeo when the court announced the birth of their daughter. What we know for sure is that upon her marriage she received the title Princess Amedeo of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este (this last title is not used in Belgium but she still has it). Whether she has the title Princess of Belgium is not clear. Normally the court has to make an announcement stating that Lili has received the title but the court didn't so we don't know for sure. Prince and Princess Amedeo announce with great joy the birth of their daughter at 3.30 am this morning. She was born at the CHU Saint- Pierre hospital in Brussels. The little girl weighs 3.3 kg and measures 52 cm. Mother and daughter are doing well.
