Albus Severus, you were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew.

An Essay on the Golden Snidget
Hello everyone! My name is Amelia Potter-Malfoy, my (adoptive) parents are Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy. i was sorted into Hufflepuff this year and this is an essay  I wrote for Magizoology. i hope you enjoy it!
The ‘Golden’ Snidget,M.O.M classification XXXX (severe penalties attached to it’s capture or injury), is a completely round bird with a bosy about the size of a walnut. It has a very thin, long beak and jewel-like glistening red eyes.Though it’s now a protected species, it was once in danger of oging extinct for the purpose of sport.
According to Quidditch through the Ages, “From the early 1100s, Snidget-hunting had been popular among many witches and wizards” (Whisp 25). After an incident at a Quidditch game in 1264, the Snidget became a permanent part of Quidditch, endangering it further. During the middle of the next century, the Wizards’ Council, headed by Elfrida Clagg, made the Golden Snidget a protected species.
There are now Snidget reservations all over the world, the most famous being The Modesty Rabnott Snidget Reservation in Somersot. This was named after Madam Rabnott after she saved the first Snidget ever used in Quidditch. Chief Barberus Bragge brought a Snidget and released it, offering 150 galleons to the player that caught it. This was equal to over 1,000,000 galleons today. According to Rabnott, all players abandoned the game to catch the bird. She, always opposing Snidget-hunting, caught the bird in her robes and managed to free it. Alas, she didn’t get the 150 galleons, but was instead charged ten galleons for disrupting the match.
The ‘Golden’ Snidget has always been an important part of our lves. It forever changed the course of history when it was first used in Quiditch. Sadly, not many know of it’s existance, though the enlightened hope the birds will be around for centuries to come.
