“Cool, right?” Alexander asked after unfreezing the rain that he’d previously stopped in mid-fall. Sometimes it wasn’t all endless questions that he had to answer. Sometimes his powers could be playful. They could make people smile instead of giving him things to tell others that would break their hearts. That was what he wanted as he stood there in the rain- to make someone else smile instead of making them hurt for once.
“Wait but how? What?!” Amelia exclaimed, pulling out her umbrella and popping it open. She stared at Alex, stunned with wonder in her eyes, “How on earth did you do that?”

Amelia closed her book, placing it back into her bag; suddenly the man beside her seemed much more interesting than the pages before her.
"I mean there's no right or wrong way to explore but taking the wrong bus to the opposite side of town isn't exactly what I'd call adventurous." She teased with a smile.
"If you want a real journey..." Amelia grinned, getting up from her seat as she took off for the exit. The bus doors opening, signaling the passengers to leave for their designated stop, "Well then I suggest you follow me."
he was good at following instructions
and the woman sat beside him had
done a fine job of giving them.
” thank you. uh — no, i just,
i think i took a different bus
from the one i usually take.
which was fine, because i
do like to explore, but i wasn’t
aware of how far out it would
take me. “
he’s blushing now, well aware that
no one takes the bus for fun — also
there’s a pang of guilt from distracting
her from the book she’s reading.

"You're going to have to get off at the last stop and pick up the bus on the opposite side of the road to get back to town." Amelia stated, without looking up from her novel. She snuck a glance at the man who spoke to her, "Is this the first time you're taking the bus?"
he’s attained a certain liking to
riding the bus for hours on end.
there’s a sort of communal
feeling to it, even if there is no
talking. although, he’s found
himself in a bit of a predicament,
he might be, sort of, l o s t.
this bus circles back to well,
y’know, the main part of town
right ? "

"Do you want me to crack out the nail polish and chocolate too as we're having this heart to heart?"
"Oh no but I do get it. Its all written on you face, and your aura is shinning a bit more brighter now that we are talking about him. So, try it again."

"Is that how you really think I feel about you?" She questioned, rolling her eyes with annoyance. "No! No, I'm not ashamed of you nor am I embarrassed by your lack of appendages, okay? I am proud of you and I love you." Amelia's heated words spilled off her lips with certainty never saying the L word quite until now. "I'm not hiding. I-I'm just not ready. I'm sorry."

"Weren't you watching him?!" She exclaimed, dropping her things and quickly going over to check on the baby in his arms. Amelia cooed at their son, "Shh, shh. Mommy's here... Mommy's going to make sure daddy sleeps on the couch tonight so you can sleep with me." The woman teased. Her eyes went back to Dan's, placing her hands on her hips with annoyance, "How does our son just Sushi roll off the sofa?"
He mutters a quick shit under his breath. “H-Hi beautiful!” He smiles, walking closer to her. “So lil man might have rolled off of the couch. I mean he wouldn’t go to sleep in his crib, and finally fell asleep on the couch so —- but then fell and ow.” Dan sighs.

"I don't know about that... More like he's the first man I've met who wasn't a cheat, fraud, or ever imprisoned."
“Oh I understand, I understand. He’s the reason you live. His love lifts you up where you belong. I get it.”

She sat across from him and gratefully took the wine. The storm rumbled closer than before, giving the blonde more apprehension to go on the roads. Amelia took a sip before smiling at his French, "You're welcome. I can only hope it tastes as good as I made it sound." She shrugged, setting the glass down. "I was never able to speak in French. But! I can definitely translate it in my head... I think. What exactly did you say?"
"Pretty much," he said, grabbing a glass and pouring wine it it, pouring her a glass too and handing it to her. Auden sat down and motioned for her to sit too, wondering if she’d at least stick around for company for a few minutes. It was, in all honesty, lonely in the big house—a house he had inherited, and not had any say in designing. If it were up to him, he’d have a small place without all of the trappings. "Merci," he said, watching her. "Merci, mademoiselle. Il semble délicieux." Auden raised a brow, wondering if the woman would pick up on anything.

"So your diet consists of left overs, overly priced restaurant food, and catering?" She asked in a teasing manner. Yet, somewhere in her, the woman felt her heart tug. The microwave sounded and she took the plate off of it. Amelia placed it in front of Auden. "Voila! Chicken francise with a side of spaghetti. A zesty lemon sauce to bring out the flavor. Enjoy." She said with a grin.
He watched her for a moment, wondering what it was that made him ask her to stay around, but shaking his head when he couldn’t figure it out. Auden’s priorities were elsewhere. “I…don’t remember?” he mused. “I left home seven years ago. Maybe then?”

"Then how could I ever say no to that." She stated with a small smile. Amelia heated up the food in the microwave and waited for it to finish. She leaned against the kitchen counter, looking up at Auden. "So when was the last time you actually had a homecooked meal?"
"I guess…that’s my way of inviting you to stick around," he said, adverting his eyes.

"Okay... So what exactly are you?" She asked. Amelia knew it was better she didn't pry.In fact, she should have just kicked his bare butt our of her home. Yet, there was a part of her. This part that wanted to know more about him.
She waved her hand dismissively, "You don't have to clean my porch right not. But eventually you will because I don't want nosy neighbors to think I'm homicidal." She teased, taking another sip of her tea. "Is it hard? To live like you're constantly on the edge?"
The Transformation Worker || Jesse & Amelia
He shook his head slowly, the cup still remaining at his face as if he were trying to hide behind it. “No” He breathed, finally pulling the cup from his face but not making eye contact with Amelia, instead he watched as the brown liquid seemed to distort and dance with the light hitting it. He didn’t say much of anything for quite a while, racking his brain on whether he should say more or not.
"What I am," He swallowed hard. "What I am is very dangerous, for the people around me and for myself, It’s the central cause as to why I had a bullet lodged in my shoulder moments ago. I chose a wolf because of their resilience to pain."
"I know what you meant, but as I said before my name only gets myself in trouble if people know what to do with it." His voice lower, almost monotone as he brought the cup to his lips again. He huffed, letting a smirk creep across his lips. "Alright." He gave her a single nod. "I’ll see what I can do. It’s the least I can do for you after you got the bullet from my shoulder."
