Open Starter (0/4) Location NYE Party
Dawson felt as if he hadn’t socialized in weeks. Having stayed mostly at home, taking care of his animals, or at work, he really hadn’t seen anyone besides coworkers and patients in a long time. Deciding to finally get out of his comfort zone, he got dressed up, wearing a suit that had shorts. Standing on the very edge of the room, really not knowing who to talk to he saw someone else standing on their own. He wanted to get to know one person tonight at the bare minimum. Walking up to them, he offered a smile and cleared his throat slightly. “Uh.. Hi.. I saw you over here and noticed you didn’t have a drink… are you a designated driver tonight? Or can I buy you a drink?” He said with a soft smile.
Amelia was having so much fun at this event already. She approached the bar with a grin as she just got done dancing and was waiting at the bar to cool down and getting ready to order herself a drink. When she heard a voice coming from beside her, she turned to look up at the tall, handsome man beside her and let her eyes run down and back up his body. “Well you can keep looking at me all you want,” she said smoothly with a smirk. “I just got done dancing so yes, you can buy me a drink. What’s your name, handsome?”

+ AMELIA NYE PARTY
It’s been a while since Elise has enjoyed herself, the past few months having been particularly rough with her father’s diagnosis. But she persists, pushing through the worst days with her chin up and head held high despite the weight of the responsibility she carries. Sure, Bunny might be in town but her help is cursory and her vitriol is more than palpable since they’ve both moved back into their family home. So this party is different, enjoyable and it gives her space from her sister and the opportunity to get lost in the crowd – a sea of people around her, helping her forget everything else, just for a few hours.
She’s dancing, drink in one hand, her other lifted above her head when, suddenly, she’s tugged to the side and suddenly a woman is dancing with her. Evie doesn’t mind, though, a friendly smile crossing her lips as she dances. It’s only when the woman keeps looking back that Elise leans in, amusement crossing her face, “bad date?” @ameliaxsong
Amelia had been dancing with a hot guy that she figured she was going to go home with at the end of the night until he opened up his mouth to speak. She couldn’t get a word in with this guy, all he did was talk about himself and how great he was. Sure, she could just ignore his words and keep dancing with him but it was becoming annoying. Finding a woman that was dancing alone, she gently grabbed her arm, tugging her to the side of the dancefloor as her hips still moved to the beat of the song. Her eyes scanned the room to see if the guy was following her and she looked at the woman a second later. “He was talking too much about himself and I got annoyed,” she said with a shake of her head though a chuckle still escaped her lips. “Sorry for disrupting you, I just needed a quick cover for a little bit. I’m Amelia.”

Amelia didn’t take long to find Imani at the event and when the two were together, they had too much fun and she was excited for the memories they were going to make together tonight. They had already taken shots at the bar and were both having drinks afterwards. “So, are we still thinking that if we can’t find people to kiss at midnight, we’ll be each others midnight kiss? I mean, we look hot as fuck so it shouldn’t be a problem for us to find people to makeout with,” she chuckled, taking a sip of her drink and running her fingers through her hair.

“Okay, I am in love with all of your sequin tonight! You look amazing, girl!” Amelia exclaimed as she came up to Evanie and wrapped her arms around her to give her a hug in greeting. They became quick friends and bonded over their jobs of being bartenders. “How’s it going? Did you just get here? Do you want to get drinks?” She asked with a soft chuckle escaping her lips though grinned ear to ear, happy to see her friend and get caught up.

Amelia grinned as she twirled around dancing to the fun songs the dj was playing in one of the many decorated rooms of this New Year’s Eve event. Not bothered one bit by coming alone, the nightclub bartender had no problem making friends and she waved when she saw Madhi across the room. “Madhi, there you are! You look gorgeous, I love your outfit!” She exclaimed, walking up to her new friend with a grin. “How has your night been so far? Been here long?” She asked, moving them away from the dancefloor so they could hear each other over the loud music.

Amelia was meeting Jean here to catch up and she was excited. The two have been good friends ever since they met last year, and while it started with them getting tangled in the sheets together, it didn’t change a thing between them. That’s what friends with benefits was all about, right? Sipping on her coffee and looking up, Amelia saw Jean walking in and she couldn’t help but smirk to the sight of him. “Hey handsome,” she greeted as he approached, “round one is on me,” she teased with a wink as she had already bought his coffee that was waiting for him. “How are you?”

“Back up a little,” he requests, his eyebrows furrowing, pinching his face. “If you want me to ask you on a date then you should probably be a little more blunt about it. We’re just having brunch and catching up before the holidays, which is why we’re not going to the bar or a club. Also, I’d like to think I’m more creative than that.” Kai gives Amelia a small grin, his eyebrows loosening up as he takes a bite of his toast. Of course, what he should’ve added is that he should probably not be going on dates with anyone. He’s already fucked up enough shit for a lifetime. No need to continue the trend. “I’m definitely not getting in the fucking pictures. No way. This isn’t some family Christmas card. This is taking a cute picture of my dog– mostly for my sister because she’s across the country,” he explains. Imagining himself walking in with Pascal adorning a Santa hat with Kai in a Christmas sweater. Yeah, Kai wasn’t that kind of guy. “Well I’ve got a case of a wine assortment at my house waiting for you to pick your favorite. And then you can head from there to find my gift. I like practical gifts but I don’t need socks this year so no worries on that.”
-
“Sexy, sweet, Kai,” Amelia started, “when I want you to ask me out on a date, you’ll know,” she said with a low chuckle, the smirk still playing on her lips. “Maybe I could see how creative you can be sometime,” she winked again and then smiled. Flirting with Kai was fun and she was enjoying herself. “Oh come on, you two would make such a cute Christmas card together,” she said in a teasing tone but there was truth to that, knowing well that if Kai was in the photo with Pascal, everyone would want a copy. She took more bites of her food and took another sip of her coffee before nodding some more to his words. “No on socks, got it,” she said, making a mental note of that. “Well, when I do get something for you, of course I’ll get something for Pascal too.”

“I know, I’m usually not up this early. I’m more of an afternoon tea person.” The brunette mused, head tilting. It always took Alyria’s body extra time to get going of a day, which meant she rarely left the house before noon. “But I had an appointment this morning, so I figured: why not?” Taking a sip of her freshly squeezed juice, Aly nodded. “I’ve done some. But I’m definitely not finished yet. What about you?”
-
“As much as I love a brunch with bottomless mimosas and bloody mary’s, coffee was needed today from working late last night,” Amelia said with a chuckle as she took another sip from her cup. “How’s work going for you?” She asked, before nodding. “Same as you; some is done but not finished quite yet. Just been buying gifts for some friends since I have no family coming into town or anything like that,” she said with a casual shrug.

Jaylen had been focused on doing his job, checking ids and making sure nobody was here to cause trouble. He really just stayed pretty quiet most of the night. He would swap with the indoor security that was in charge of protecting dancers and performers, but tonight he stayed at the front. Hearing someone before he saw them he jumped slightly, then turned. Seeing a woman there he offered a little smile. “Me?” He asked, double checking. “I don’t get off until like one. You want to buy me a drink? For real?”
-
Amelia raised a brow when it seemed like she scared the larger man by the slight jolt of his body and then she tilted her head when he seemed confused. “Yes, you,” she chuckled and nodded. “Let me give you some advice, handsome. When a hot woman such as myself asks to buy you a drink, don’t question it and just say yes,” she smirked. Checking the time on her phone, she nodded again and met his gaze again. “One is only an hour away, I’ll wait.” Finally sliding her hand off of his broad shoulder to rest by her side, she ran her tongue over her lips. “My name is Amelia by the way.”

“Why can’t I invite someone to brunch?” he asks, as if it wasn’t a surprise. Kai surprised himself, admittedly. He wasn’t a brunch kind of guy. But here he was. “What do you want to know? I mean, I don’t have a whole lot going on besides work. Pascal’s getting Christmas pictures with Santa I guess. My sister insisted on it,” Kai explains, referring to his adopted pitbull. “Is this you fishing to see if I got you something? The answer is no. I didn’t. I’m doing gift cards or wine this year. I’m tired of buying shitty gifts for people that they don’t like. What’d you get me?”
“Usually when guys want to take me out, it’s either to a bar, a nightclub or to their place so I think brunch is cute,” Amelia said with a smirk as a chuckle escaped her lips. Nodding her head slowly to his words, she found herself smiling more. As much as she wanted to get him naked, she also thought he was a good guy and she enjoyed talking to him. “Yeah? Are you going to be in the Santa pictures with him too? Or does Pascal want his own spotlight?” She asked as she sipped more on her coffee. “I can do a lot with gift cards and wine,” she winked at him. “If you didn’t get me anything, why would you think I got you something?” She asked teasing. She loved Christmas time so of course she had gifts for her friends.

When Amelia clocked out, it was time to party. Letting her hair down and changing into some more fun heels, she took some shots and got out on the dancefloor. For Bradford Springs being as small as a city it was, everyone knew how to turn up and she loved the atmosphere. With tequila running through her veins, she swayed her hips to the beat of the music and closed her eyes. Her moment was soon ruined when some drunk asshole bumped into her which caused her body to collide with another. “Shit. I’m sorry,” she said before looking up and meeting a pair of dark eyes and she smirked. Fuck, this guy was hot. “Maybe I’m not,” she purred as her hand reached up to rest on his shoulder.

Have you done any holiday shopping yet?”

Ever since Amelia checked out the sexy bouncer when she walked in, she couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. He was so hot and she liked the way he smirked at her. Downing a tequila shot, she got up from her bar seat and approached him from behind. Reaching up, she slid her hand on his shoulder and smirked up at him. “Hey handsome,” she started, “when are you off so I can buy you a drink?”

Amelia had the night off so when she wasn’t spending time at home, she was out at Restricted Access watching her best friend perform. The two have gotten close ever since she arrived in town and she admired her strength and how much fun she was. Sipping on her glass of wine, she watched as Imani approached and flashed a grin. “There’s my sexy bestie! When are you off tonight again?”

It had been a busy night at Decades and while she was having fun bartending and making a good amount of money, she also enjoyed the breaks she got especially when they were outside cooling her body down. With a cigarette hanging between her fingers, she walked outside and took a deep breath, taking in the fresh, cold air. Digging into her pockets, she realized she didn’t have her lighter with her. “Shit,” she mumbled to herself before seeing another person standing out there as well. “Hey, do you have a lighter by chance?”

– Amelia Song –
Age: 35 Birthday: December 1st, 1987 Zodiac: Sagittarius Gender/Pronouns: Cis Female & She/Her Sexuality: Heterosexual Relationship status: Single Hometown: Seattle, Washington Occupation: Bartender at Decades Nightclub Current residence: Downtown Positive traits: Outgoing, loyal, hardworking Negative traits: Manipulative, jealous, hot-headed Face claim: Jamie Chung
Background - tw: alcoholism, drugs, death
Amelia was born and raised in Seattle to two alcoholic parents who didn’t care much for her. They ignored her a lot until they realized how great of a dancer she was. At the age of three, they put her into dancing classes. All throughout the years of dancing, she had competed in many dace competitions, ballet being her top category of dance, she collected a lot of trophies and winnings and was well known at her young age. She was a happy, determined, hard working kid and didn’t let her parents get in her way. When she was 15 years old, her parents both had too much to drink and they were driving her home when they got into a car accident, killing both of them on impact and putting Amelia immediately into foster care. Once she moved to and from foster homes, her life turned for the worse. Now 16 years old, Amelia had just moved into a foster group home for girls in Portland, Oregon and the kids at the high school constantly teased her for being a dancer…she failed classes and eventually dropped out, turning to drugs as they kept her alive. She had no positive mindset, all she wanted to do was get high and win more dance/ballet competitions.
At 18 years old, she was kicked out of the dance academy for failing multiple drug tests and not wanting to go back to the group home for girls, she decided to be homeless and found a strip club to dance at. She was a very popular stripper and many people loved her. She used her dance skills and flexibility to the test here and while she wasn’t the best in the beginning, she found herself easing more into the job as time went on. Amelia made money by stripping and nights when she wasn’t on the pole, she was bartending. She didn’t have much experience with making drinks but she was going to do anything to make money. While she was doing great with both jobs, she constantly felt ashamed of herself…she never thought she would become a stripper. She knew it was one of the only ways to make money to not live on the streets anymore, that was until she found a waitressing job at the local diner.
She was thankful that no one recognized her from the strip club or her cam girl job and while waitressing helped her from living off the streets, she was still disappointed in herself. With nights off from work, Amelia went out for drinks, dancing and went home with a lot of men. Some of the nights out turned into dates and while the men were fun to have sex with and be around, all she wanted was the attention they gave her and didn’t think about what the real thing could be like. Love. Love was something she never really thought about until she met a man who seemed to really care for her. The sex was great, they laughed and had fun on dates and he made her feel special. After a few months of being together, he told her that he was falling in love with her and while most women would react happily, she was scared and she ran. She didn’t know what love was and she was scared to truly let someone in, to let someone know everything about her.
Amelia packed up her things and got back on the road traveling around different states, to find new adventures. Not having any solid destination, she drove and drove for miles on end, stopping in as many states as she could and meeting new people along the way. It took her a few years to settle down in one place until one day, she found herself in a little city located on the Rocky Mountain range, Bradford Springs, Colorado. Amelia found it quaint and welcoming so she decided to get a small apartment downtown and get a bartending job at the local nightclub, Decades. She has been living in the city for two years now and doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon. She often thinks about what it would be like to dance again, having that passion to compete or even teach, but the pain that came from the sport was unbearable and how it lead to her darkness. She is now slowly trying to find who she is and who she wants to be.
