Known Personality Aspects

Yu's outward persona can change depending on who he is with. Around teachers and respected upperclassmen (so authority figures), he is respectful and earnest. Around close friends, he is more outspoken and brash, but also playful and encouraging. Around strangers, he is meek but affable when spoken to. So on and so forth. His behavior will change depending on how the other person treats him, however.

One thing that stays consistent is his anxiety; although he does try to hide it, his naturally cowardly nature will pop out from time to time. Because of this and his poor self-image, he is often willing to subtly use others for his own benefit if he does not/cannot do something by himself.

However, that does not negate his temper, which often comes out explosively and violently when he is pushed to his limits. In fact, his self-hatred makes his anger even more potent. Be prepared for a barrage of insults and curse words should you step out of line around Yu.

System & Other Status Effects

If you have ever read SVSSS (which I have not and don't plan on), you will recall that the transmigrating protagonist has a digital system that aids him. Yu has something similar; when there is no one around, he can access these holographic screens that inform him of upcoming missions, events, and his relationships with others. He also receives notifications related to all of the above.

Another problem he has to deal with is that after each Overblot battle, he is sort of knocked out and forced to watch the memories of the Overblotter, who also gets to see some of his memories. He doesn't really know why so he sort of just chalks it up to the System treating everything like a video game.

Trivia

Much like how the teachers have their own uniforms, Yu also has his own magic-enforced "dorm uniform." It seems to take inspiration from a Far East fairytale, where a young maiden was aided by her late mother in the form of a beautiful, golden carp. Yu wears a locket that is enchanted to switch him into his dorm uniform when he opens it.

He typically wears what looks like the standard school uniform because 1) it goes under his labcoat in the classroom due to safety procedures, and 2) it makes him stand out less.

Floyd calls him “Li'l Koi.” Other students will frequently refer to him as “the TA.”

Although he isn't a student and thus cannot really join any clubs, he frequently visits the Film Research Club.

Hands First, Details Later

Let me re-introduce you to the OG, the King of 0-100, jump to conclusions, ready for war, Mr Hands First himself, Gavin. He may have selective hearing and he might be more dramatic than the terrors and Bailey rolled into one, but he’s always going to fight for the Richards gang gang. And yes that includes fighting kids if necessary. The love and loyalty is very real. The logic? Not so much.

At this point Bailey, Quinton and Gavin have failed to get through to Legend & Lyric. Should we all just admit defeat? Or do we have faith in the final boss, the OG Queen, the founder of this legacy, Brooklyn Kay? We’ll have to wait and see.

This was perfect.

Not only was Kai being pleasant tonight, but she was attached to his hip on full display for everyone to see. He was showing her off, she knew this and it made her cheeks redden in satisfaction. They made a perfect couple and with time they would conquer the world. For the first time since she landed in Korea, she felt at ease. Glee danced in her chest and her head moved in agreement with the three men circled around them. They were important Kai had whispered to her earlier. Even now the memory of the heat of his breath on her skin gave her shivers. She snuck a peek at his handsome face to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She wasn't and it made the happiness in her chest intensify. If things went well tonight they could turn the page and maybe attempt to give their relationship the chance it deserved. Her laughter sprung from her chest easily at a joke one of the chairman told, her mannerism poise and elegant. It wasn't necessarily comedic but appearances were everything especially to her man. Another few minutes passed where the men discussed company revenue. A topic Zhi couldn't care less about but she showed her interest. Commenting when necessary. Kai would be happy with her. It took another moment before they were wrapping things up and moving to another group of individuals. This would be their night. The CEO and his wife.

She kept her arm ticked into his, her engagement and wedding rings sparkling against the sleeve of his jacket. She wanted everyone to know he was hers. "我现在要去哪里? Where are we going now?" she whispered softly by his ear.
