Sooo, this is what I was kinda going for, for reference~ Tempest (mlp) wanting her horn and power back, so I thought it would be a pretty cool idea to have Hitoshi (Shinsou) work for Shigaraki (or some villain from mha) and help him so he can get one of his broken horns back (which stunted his powers and phyical growth) and be 'normal', capturing Eri, Hizashi (Yamada/Present Mic), Bakugou, Midoriya, Todoroki, Eijiro, Denki, and Aizawa to do so. (In this case Aizawa, Yamada, and Eri would be like Twilight, not turned into stone like the others.) In the end, the person Hitoshi is working for ignores his request for his promised horn/powers and realizes he's been used.
Hitoshi also realizes Aizawa, Eri, and everyone else will accept him for who he is and he gets a flashback to his childhood days to the time he lost one of his horns when he sees/hears Eri crying to whoever has the magic staff to not take her powers away and sympathizes with her.
So he saves Eri (getting her away from the bad guy and helps stop him) and everyone else and gets to the party (obviously~) and an extra happy ending with a repared horn/powers. Giving him the strength and body of his 15/16 year old self and getting potentailly adopted by Aizawa, Yamada, and Eri. :)
THAT WAS A LONG AND SLOPPY RANT- Anyways, THIS is what I wanted~
Tumblr media
AND THIS IS WHAT I DID-

Hizashi’s POV (kinda)

“No, no that’s not the point Nemuri.” Hizashi grumbled, balancing two lunch boxes in one hand and a stack of papers in the other while hold his phone to his ear with the side of his head.
“But you said you’d get him to come.” The woman on the other side of the line whined childishly, he could hear her stamp her foot.
“I said I would try to get him to come. Two different things Nem.” Hizashi walked over to the table and put down the pile of papers quickly before writing something down on a sticky note.
“Still, you better get Shota to come with us. He said he would last weekend but suddenly he was “busy”.” The blonde huffed, putting one of lunch boxes in the fridge and then sped walked up the stairs.
“I know, I know. But he had- hold up.” He paused as he tip-toed into the master bedroom and moved some of the grey blankets off his husband’s nose. He brushed a few strands of black hair from Shota’s forehead and kissed where his fingers moved his hair gently. He held the phone away from himself and the other man.
“’M going to work now.” He whispered, a large smile pulling on his lips when the watched the other squint his eyes to look at the alarm clock and grumbled and shifting his weight off his arm.
“It’s late.” Shota stretched and yawned, a few tired tears leaked from his eyes.
“Mhm, not that late though, I’m going to drop some stuff off to the school because I forgot to do it yesterday. And I wanted to look around some shops for a few items for Nemuri ‘coz she said she needed them for later.” Hizashi hummed brushing more strands from the raven haired man’s face again, enjoying the soft feeling.
“Mmkay, bye.” Shota rolled over and curled into a tight ball before falling back asleep again.
“Bye love.” The blonde chuckled, walking back out of the room and closing the door leaving it ajar for the cats to come in. When he was down the stairs again, he lifted the phone to his ear again as he picked up his lunch and walked out of the door. Making sure to lock it behind him.
“Okay, I’m back. What was I saying again?”
“Aww, were you giving Shota some love~?” Nemuri teased, making the blonde’s cheeks flush a light pink.
“I was just telling him goodbye.”
“Aha..”
“What was I saying earlier?” Hizashi asked, trying to change the subject.
“Something about Sho-bean had-“
“Oh, yeah. Shota had patrol that night. So he wasn’t able to make it.” Hizashi walked calmly down the street, nodding politely to everyone who walked by.
“He went to patrol on purpose!”
“Maybe..”
“Ugh! Just, get him to come with us this time. He can pick where we go, just as long as he hangs out with us.” The woman huffed, Hizashi could hear her cooking something.
“I’ll try, okay?”
“Fine. See you later I guess. Bye!”
“Bye.” Hizashi hung up and did an unnecessary hop over the edge of the sidewalk, he began to whistle when he stopped, he watched a little fawn run across the road and into the forest happily. He smiled when he saw it’s tail wag when it saw it’s mother then ran away with her.
(yes, fawns do wag their tails when their mother come to pick them up, it’s really cute!)
His gaze shifted to a small trail near the road, his smile widened as he walked over and started going down it.
“I haven’t been on this trail for years! I remember Shota used to walk this way to school. Ah, the memories are all coming back to me.” He hummed, kicking up a few old fallen leaves, they didn’t crunch as loud but they still made a noise. He began to whistle the tune he was earlier, recalling all the memories he shared with his husband. The sound of rushing water slowly flooded his ears, he looked over to his right and saw the still running river and large rocks.
He was about to look back on the path when he saw something out of the ordinary. A streak of lilac purple moved out of the corner of his eyes. He turned to see two violet colored eyes meet his. They belonged to a boy, a thin boy anyway. His clothes where ragged, his arms and face were streaked with dirt and a large, dark bruise was above his left eye and swelling by his cheekbone. And larger bruise was on his arm near his shoulder as well. The boy’s hair stood up in tufts, pointing in wild and random directions.
“He would be such a pretty looking kid if he had a bath or something. Why does he have so many bruises? He’s so thin too..” Hizashi felt a pang of sadness as he continued to stare at the boy, which the other returned evenly.
Suddenly the lavender haired boy seemed panic a search for an exit that wasn’t close to Hizashi. The blonde was about to say something when the kid bent down and picked up a good sized stick and pointed it at the him, he let out a low growl and glared at him.
Hizashi blinked. “He’s kinda hostile huh? Reminds me of a mini Shota. Maybe he did something wrong. Does he know I’m a pro-hero? Maybe not since I’m not in my uniform. He seemed like a nice enough person considering.” The boy picked up a rock and threw it at him quickly, missing him by s few inches.
“Nevermind.”
“Hey! Don’t throw stuff at me! Why’re you doin’ that?” He pouted but then made sure to quiet down his voice since the boy didn’t seem to like his yelling. Understandable. He set his lunch down carefully and started walking over to the kid to get a better look at him. The kid himself wasn’t having it and started backing up.
“He’s gonna fall!” Hizashi worried when he heard a broken whimper come from him.
“It’s okay. I won’t hurt ya.” He tried to comfort the kid as he walked closer. His worry began to be directed to himself when he saw a glint in the boy’s eyes.
“Can he understand me?”
“Kid-?” He charged to where he was standing, Hizashi resisted the urge to let out a startled yell and resorted to take steps back instead.
“Is he a villain disguised as a child?!” He waited to feel a hit of some sort but instead he heard light footsteps running from him. He looked back up and saw the lavender haired boy jump over the river and on some large rocks, climbing up the expertly.
“Hey, wait! Where you goin’? Come back please!” Hizashi rushed to the river edge to watch the last bit of the boy disappear into a small crack in the rocks.
“That’s where Shota used to hide, sometimes he napped there.” There was only silence besides the breeze in the trees and the water running in front of him.
“Hello? Please come back.” He could practically feel the boy’s eyes watch him.
“Guess he won’t be out any time soon. I should probably just go to the school. I told Nemuri I’d get the things earlier than the time we were supposed to meet up.” He sighed and turned and was going to pick up his lunch but stopped.
“The boy looked so skinny, so small. He’s probably hungry, I’ll leave it here. Hope he eats it before the ants do.” He slowly walked away down the path again not daring to look back knowing there was a good chance the kid was watching him leave.
When he got out of the forest and walked down the side of the road, he went to the far edge of the town where the train station was. If he had arrived any later he would’ve missed it. His mind kept wandering to the boy in the woods and how he acted. So scared. His brows furrowed but smoothed out when he realized he was unconsciously looking at an older woman, who was fowning at him.
He leaned back on his seat and looked out the window, watching the building fly by. His fingers played with the hem of his shirt when it dawned on him.
 He didn’t have his papers.

 Shota’s POV
‘Bzzzz’ ‘Bzzzz’
Shota squinted his eyes open, the sun wasn’t directly facing the bedroom window but the glare was still filtering into the room and on his face.
‘Bzzzz’ ‘Bzzzz’
He turned his head to face his nightstand and watched his phone light up and vibrate. He blinked slowly before reaching over to look at it.
“Better not be Nemuri or someone from school for a pointless call or I’ll kill them.” He faced the phone and saw big bold letters say ‘ZASHI <3 on the tip of the screen. He answered immediately and sat up quickly.
“What?” Shota’s voice was still rough from sleep.
“Heyy Sho! I have two favors to ask of you.” He could hear Hizashi walk into UA high, recognizing the sound of the heavy duty gates being unlocked.
“Okay.”
“Okay so, number one. I think I left my stack of papers on the dining room table. Can you bring that to the school for me?”
“Now?”
“Umm. Yeah, if you don’t mind.”
“Okay.”
“Thank you love!”
“Mhm.” The raven haired man combed his hair back with his fingers and started to get out of the bed slowly, not wanting to leave the warmth behind. But he’d do anything for his lover.
“Number two, Nemuri wanted me to ask you if-“
“No.” He deadpanned, knowing what he was going to ask.
“But-“
“No, not going. Busy.”
“With what?” Shota looked around the room and spotted a large black cat sitting in the doorway, staring at him.
“Taking care of Salem.”
“That’s not necessary.”
“Is to me.”
“So I’m telling Nem no?”
“Mhm.” He heard Hizashi sigh with disappointment. He felt kinda bad to say no, but he didn’t want to be stuck in a loud, crowded bar (that Nemuri would tell them to go) and drag the two of them home.
“Okay, see ya later Sho! Love ya!”
“Thanks.” Shota sighed and ended the call. He dragged himself out of bed and went to brush his teeth and throw on his hero costume. He was going on patrol in an hour anyway so he might as well be dressed for it. He picked up his scarf and placed it around his neck, burying his face in it and closed his eyes, ready to fall asleep again. He stumbled when his cat head butted the back of his knee.
“You’re going to kill me one day and then no one will feed you.” He chuckled and pet the cat’s head, not bothering to look for the other felines in his home. After he fed him, he went to the dining room and saw the yellow colored note near the pile of papers. The writing was slightly sloppy but readable.

“Hey Sho! I made lunch for you which is in the fridge. You better eat it ‘coz I know you only eat those jelly pouches. It’s not healthy for ya to not eat normal food. Anyway, see ya soon. Bye, love ya! <3”
Shota hummed and folded the paper neatly, putting it in his pocket. He went to the fridge and took out the lunchbox, he smiled softly at his husband’s kindness. He went to get his keys to the car gave one last pat to the cat on his way to get the stack of papers.
“Bye, guard the house.” Salem meowed and turned to go up the stairs while Shota watched him. The man then turned and closed the door gently behind him.

~Time skip~

“Hello Aizawa, I didn’t know you were coming here today.” Shota resisted the urge to roll his eyes when he heard a loud voice greet him.
 Toshinori.
“Mhm.” The shorter man turned a corner and walked down the hall, hoping the other pro-hero would leave him alone. He had no such luck.
“What made you come here if I may ask?” The blonde, aka All Might, walked up beside him.
“I’m came here for fun.” Shota deadpanned sarcastically, rolling his eyes this time.
“Oh, I didn’t take you for that kind of guy, Aizawa.” The shorter man was ready to punch the other for his obviousness when the door they approached opened.
“Heyy Sho!” Hizashi sprang out and took the papers from his hands eagerly, bending down to give his husband a kiss on his cheek only to have a hand shoved in his face.
“No.” The blonde pouted as the shorter male brushed passed before looking up at Toshinori. The taller chuckled, amused by the scene before him. Hizashi smiled, sighing dramatically and placed a hand on his chest.
“I have been rejected, my poor broken heart.” All Might played along.
“Poor you, however will you recover?” a smirk formed on the voice hero’s face before responding.
“I guess I’ll just have to move on. Date a new person and maybe find someone to marry.”
“What?” Hizashi stifled a laugh when he heard his husband’s voice from deep in the teacher’s lounge.
“Nothing~” He called back. Toshinori shook his head smiling and started to walk away.
“I’ll see you later Aizawa, Yamada.”
“Yeah, see ya!” The other blonde bowed slightly before closing the door and set down the pile he had on his desk next to his husband’s. He leaned against it comfortably.
“Thanks for bringing these in for me love.”
“Mhm.” Shota was sitting on his desk chair and opening his lunch, ready to eat after a day of just jelly pouches. Hizashi reached over to take a piece of fruit from the box, but quickly brought it back when the raven haired man smacked his hand gently.
“Heyy, I want some!”
“No.”
“But I made it!”
“Exactly. I don’t share the food you make, not even to you.”
“But I’m hungry.” Hizashi felt a bit of pride and happiness knowing that his husband liked his cooking, though he also felt he deserved some too.
“Eat your own food.”
“I can’t.”
“Why?”
“I gave it away to someone.”
“…fine.”
“Thanks Sho!” Hizashi rounded the desk and hugged the other man tightly.
“I hate hugs.”
“Not mine!”
“This is true.”

 ~Another time skip ‘coz I’m lazy~

“You’re taking the car home and that’s final.” Shota grumbled as he walked down the long hallways to the exit with his partner. His patrol shift was about it start in a few minutes.
“But I can take the train.” Hizashi added stubbornly.
“No.”
“And why not?”
“Because I don’t want you out at night, a villain can attack at any moment.”
“I can take care of myself.”
“I know.”
“Then I’ll take the train.”
“No.”
“You’re not my mother.”
“You’re right, but I would like to keep my partner alive as long as I can.”
“You make it sound like I’m actively dying.” Hizashi gave his husband a questioning look.
“Didn’t mean to.” At this point, the two of them knew that Shota had won this small argument, the both of them walked in sync quietly. When they reached the gates Shota handed the keys to Hizashi.
“Bye.”
“Bye..” He was about to walk away when he felt a tug at the back of his shirt, he looked questioningly at his partner.
“Hug?” He rolled his eyes and opened his arms invitingly, he did promise him another hug earlier and he wasn’t one to break promises. He leaned in to the blonde a bit and then pulled away.
“There. Happy?”
“Very much.” Hizashi hummed, sporting a big grin.
“Stay safe please!”
“Mhm.” Shota swiftly turned and moved his scarf so that he was crouching on a light post then began to jump from building to building with deadly silence and precision.
The area he was covering was about ten minutes away from his home, which made him pleased he was so close to home.
“I wonder if I could take a route even closer to home. I would have to ask Nezu though..” Shota cringed when he thought of the principal, he was small but strange. The type of strange that made your fight or flight kick in.
He swung gracefully from roof to roof, keeping himself hidden in the shadows. He then approached a road that lead to the Iplace he was supposed to check on, he started to walk along the side of the narrow road. He didn’t want to swing overhead by his scarf over the road but he always had a nagging fear that he would misjudge his footing and fall on the road. Since it was narrow and the shadows were a lot more present, he didn’t want to get hit since he blended in the dark so well.
He looked to the side out of curiosity and muscle memory and stopped walking. An old path caught his sight, he walked to the start of it a smirked when he saw the familiar boot marks in the dirt.
“Hizashi walked through here. I wonder if it’s the same as it was when I was younger.” He looked left and right to see if anyone was around before stepping in the brush that mostly hid his body from view.
“This would be the shorter route to get to where I’m headed. It’s not just a random decision, it’s rational.” He convinced himself that he wasn’t being childish and was just wandering on a whim.
He walked for a while and looked up at the trees a flowers as the light from the sun became dimmer. He guessed he should pick up his pace if he wanted to finish his patrol and go to bed sooner.
“By the time I'm ready to sleep, I won’t be able too.” He thought dryly, “Maybe if I take melatonin as soon as I get home- what was that?” Shota froze mid-step, his sharp gaze caught a small movement to his left. The movement also stopped, making Shota question if it was just an animal.
“Hello? Come out where I can see you!” He reached up to his scarf and got ready to use it. Activating his quirk now would be a waste if the person he was waiting for came out when he needed to blink.
His suspicions seemed to be correct when the movement responded to his voice, hiding deeper into the bushes.
“Are they trying to surprise attack someone? I need to know who it is before the sun gets any lower.”
“I said come out! I’m a licensed pro-hero. I will not hesitate to fight and report you!” He shouted, whoever it was, he was not going to allow them to to get the upper hand if they planned a fight.
He tensed when he saw the movement start to get more pronounced, he heard a small grunt and small hands pull whoever was there up towards the path. Shota’s eyes narrowed when he saw a kid instead of a grown person or villain.
“What is a child doing here? Is this some kind of trick?” He didn’t utter a word when he took the boy’s profile in, making mental notes as he did so.
The kid was ghostly pale and dirty. He seemed to be rather skinny, though it was hard for Shota to tell with the shadows surrounding them. The boy’s clothes were also dirty and big on him. The boys hands were raised slightly and his head was downcast.
“Why won’t he lift up his face?”
“Who are you?” The boy squirmed and shook, still not looking up. Shota stayed silent, waiting patiently for an answer, he almost started to ask again when the boy looked up.
Shota almost grimaced when he saw the pale boy’s thin face and large bruise. One of the most striking feature about the kid’s face was his eyes, they were a bright purple and almost looked like they were glowing. Not as much as Shota’s would, but it was a very noticeable contrast in the dark. His eyes widened and he seemed to panic silently.
“Is it out of fear or recognition?” Shota highly doubted the boy was familiar with who he was, he was an underground hero after all. He might think that Shota was faking his title. The kid started to run away, towards the small area Shota lived.
"Why is he running?”
“Wait- where are you going?” Shota jogged after the boy, he knew he could easily out run him, but he didn’t want to scare him. He was still a child. He quickly used his capture scarf to swing from tree to tree, keeping a close eye on him. The said boy was quick on his feet, which surprised him with how short and skinny he was. He leaped every few running steps, it reminded him of a deer or a fox gracefully running from danger.
“You do realize it’s against the law to run from the law, right?” He barked, landing on a lower tree branch. The kid stumbled but continued running.
“Guess I’m going to have to wait ‘til he’s out of breath. This counts as part of my patrol right?” Shota watched the boy weave his way through the trees, stumps, and small hills with ease. Shota wished he could just snatch the kid up with his scarf but it was too dark for him to clearly see if it was safe for him. The boy could trip or hit his head while being snatched up. If the boy was just hanging out here, it wouldn’t give him a good record to hurt a kid for no reason.
Shota blinked after a few minutes of not doing so, but when he opened them again, the boy was gone. Like he vanished in thin air.
“What the he-“ Shota looked around himself perplexed, the kid just disappeared.
“Maybe it was his quirk.”  Shota rationalized, staying in his spot silently, waiting for a sound or movement. He had to admit, the kid was smart if he didn’t use a quirk to get away. After a few minutes of silence besides the trees rustling Shota huffed and carefully swung from tree to tree, disappointed for losing sight of the kid.
“Wonder what he was doing all the way out here, he didn’t look like he was up to no good. Then again, kids these days have strange thought processes. I can’t tell if Kaminari’s ideas are genius or idiotic..”  When he got to the edge of the preserve where a hill lead to another village, he fished out his phone to look at the time and saw half of the shift he had taken for that evening had already passed. He thought it would be best to stay out extra time since he technically wasn’t on patrol ‘til now.

~One hour later~
“Wonder if cats and tigers can understand each other perfectly?” Shota mumbled, his mind wandering while his body and eyes were alert. His patrol may have been over, but it didn’t mean he could just relax, that would be foolish, especially if he was heading home.
He paused a looked around before unlocking the front door to his house. He didn’t feel any eyes on him, it should be fine.
When he entered his home and took off his boots, he was expecting all the rooms to be dark like usual and Hizashi sleeping in bed or possibly on the couch, but he was greeted with a light coming from the kitchen and dining room.
“Hizashi?” He called out quietly, unsure whether to continue walking in. He heard one of the chairs from dining table scrape against the floor and socked footsteps coming towards him. Hizashi rounded the corner and hugged the other man tightly.
“Why are you awake?”
“I was worried. You said you’d be home an hour from now, I didn’t call ‘coz I didn’t know if you were in a tight spot or not.” The blonde’s fingers combed near the edges of Shota’s hair slowly, his shoulders relaxing.
“My bad. I was late for the shift and didn’t cover it at the time I was wanted to.” Shota pulled away from the hug and went to make a cup of coffee for himself.
“Warn me next time, yeah?” Hizashi followed the other man down the hallway and sat back at the table, carefully sipping his tea.
“I’ll try.” Shota mumbled, finding his favorite cup that had a black cat printed on it, with its tail for a handle. When he lifted the cup to drink from it, the words on the bottom would say ‘I’m not lazy, I’m busy relaxing’. He thought it was quite funny and true, no one would question his dry humor.
When he finished making his coffee, he tiredly shuffled to the table and sat across from his husband. He was ready to take a sip of the scalding hot drink when he glanced up and saw a distant look in Hizashi’s eyes, his green orbs filmed over. Shota blinked, he has seen the blonde get serious and actually think about things quite a few times, but it still took him by surprise whenever Hizashi did so. He stared blankly back at him before speaking up.
“What’s on your mind, ‘Zashi?” The other man blinked rapidly and sent Shota a sheepish smile. He shrugged.
“Nothin’ much. Just about a person I met today.”
“What’s so special about them?”
“What do ya mean?
“You meet new people almost everyday, what made this person stick out out of the thousands of fans you see each week?” Shota took a drink from his coffee and rested his elbows on the table, a habit of his that Hizashi occasionally scolded him for.
“I’m pretty sure I don’t meet people by the thousands,” Hizashi chuckled, “this was just a strange encounter had with them. Nothing bad per-se, just, strange.” The blondes brows furrowed as he leaned back in his chair and sipped his tea. The distant look in his eyes was back again, deep in thought.
Shota hummed, understanding his husband slightly. He yawned and looked down at his black drink, not sure if he would finish it before he fell asleep. “I should drink it all at once, it should be fine.” His eyes narrowed at the cup and raised it halfway to his lips. Before he could put his plan to action, he heard Hizashi jerk up and could feel his sharp green eyes on him.
“Shota, no.”
“Dammit-“ Shota grumbled, unknowingly pouting at the coffee. Hizashi shook his head and got up from the table to put his empty cup in the sink, he returned to plant a kiss on Shota’s cheek.
“Goodnight Sho.” Shota hummed in return and gave him a small smile before the blonde’s gentle touch trailed off his shoulders as he walked to the staircase leading to the bedrooms. (Master, family, and guest bedrooms.)
The raven haired man sat in silence for a while and sipping his drink. His mind was blank and he stared at his cat’s sleeping form that he spotted on the living room couch. He paused when his mind wandered back to when he saw those unusual and bright purple eyes looking at him. He could remember every detail he took in of the boy.
“Something was off about him. I’m not sure what though.. I wonder if he will come back to that area.. Heh, if ‘Zashi saw him he would say the kid looked like me or something.” Shota smiled to himself, a sight a person would be scared and happy to see.

Later in the evening, Hizashi woke up and found his husband passed out at the table with his head buried in his arms and a cat curled up on his back.

Hitoshi Shinso lives in a foster family. An abusive foster family actually. He is kicked out if the house for a while one day, which was a normal routine for him. He meets two men at different times of the day. And they are... nice?
In which Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada both find a young boy and have decided to try and gain his trust to take him home and care for him. They don't know how to bring the subject up to their significant other, but neither of them realize that they had already met the boy beforehand.
(This summary sucks, I know. But I'll try and fix it later. 😅)
This will have an ErasureMic ship so if you don't like that, kindly leave. 🙂
⚠️This will also have mentions and descriptions of physical/verbal abuse.⚠️ Not me writing this from experience...
Hope you enjoy!^^

A low growl and vibration in Hitoshi's stomach woke him up from his slumber. He groaned quietly and curled into himself more to preserve the warmth trying to fall back asleep.
His stomach protested and cramped oddly with the movement that made it nauseous and the faint smell of cigarette smoke didn’t help. He sighed when he sat up slowly then flopped back down, wishing he could just rest a bit more, but he knew he needed to find food eventually.
He hasn't been fed in five days and it was really starting to bother him. He had gone off without nourishment for longer than that, but this time it didn’t seem like he would be able to last any longer.
He shifted from his place on the hardwood floor, facing the bed beside him, an arm hung over the edge and soft snores could be heard from the other child. Eicho. He recalled the other's name dully.
Though he thought it was selfish and ungrateful, he wished he was allowed on the bed with a soft cushion cradling his body and warm blankets surrounding him. But, he knew that wish would never come true. He was a villain child after all, he doesn’t deserve it. No villain does. He was always told that, why would people lie to him about it? He lay there for a while, too weak to motivate himself to get up. No one was calling him or complaining, he should be fine.
“Boy! Come down here!”
Jinx. The small boy groaned but made sure it wasn’t too audible. She was calling him, the tone was unmistakable. He was about to shout back and say he was coming but he stopped himself, he would get in trouble for yelling and talking. He ran down the stairs, his bare feet hardly making a sound on the wood floors which was a habit he had picked up years ago. He maneuvered his way around beer bottles and cigarette studs, the smell of them getting stronger. The two foster parents had broken the fire alarm though so they could smoke in the house with no worries.
When he got to the small kitchen, he was met with a scowl on the woman’s face.
“Finally! What took you so long? Do you know that today is a busy one for me? Are you trying to mess it up?” Taylor, one of the foster parents, bombarded him with questions.
The smoke from the cigarette in her mouth puffed in his face tickling his nose with the strong smell. He didn’t dare scrunch his nose though, for fear of angering her more. The answer he could give was shaking his head ‘no' in response to her questions. He really didn’t take that long.
“Well? Why did you take so long, huh?” Hitoshi’s shoulders hunched and he just wanted to fade away right then. He knew this was a trap to get him to talk, he would get in bigger trouble if he did.
“Don’t ignore me!” Taylor growled, slapping the boy on the head surprisingly light in comparison to what he was used to. Hitoshi just shook his head, feeling the frustration build up in his gut.
“Ugh! Useless piece of shit- just do the dishes. Eicho cut his finger last night and Ray needed time to herself so neither of them could do them. I don’t know where you were though. When you're done, get going on cleaning the house, I’m having guests tonight and, it better be done right. Lazy brat-.“ The young woman mumbled and grabbed a beer from the fridge, then disappeared into the living room. The TV was turned on to a show Hitoshi had seen a few times briefly, but he didn’t really care.
“I was searching for scraps at the neighbor’s house. Not that you need to know.” He turned to the heaps of dishes he had to wash and stifled a tired sigh. Guess this isn’t the worst morning he’s had. He should be grateful.
 ~Time skip~
“Hey, is the food ready yet? I’m hungry!” Ray, the oldest foster child 2 years older than him whined, her long brown hair brushed against his cheek as she leaned into his personal space. Hitoshi leaned away and stirred the food he was cooking one more time before hopping off the stool and speed walking over to the cupboard where the dishes were to set the table.
His growth spurts had been lacking since he was eight and even then he was kinda small. He figured it was probably because he didn’t eat enough. Not his fault. He nodded tiredly, setting the table as best he could. His stomach rumbled constantly from the smell of the food he made. He only had a few tastes to make sure it was seasoned right.
He had forgotten to set some food aside secretly, so he would have to wait and see if he was allowed to eat with the others or not. He hoped so. Hitoshi’s hopes sunk when he heard the front door open. Chisuke, Taylor’s husband, came home from work. There was no way he would be allowed at the table now. The boy's shoulders slumped as he placed the food on the table, he waved over to Ray telling her the food was ready to eat. She thankfully got the hint and began to call everyone to the table. She was rude at times, but she could be kind when she felt slight pity for him.
“The food is ready! Welcome home!” she greeted man walking into the room. He huffed, a smile appearing on his face only for it to turn into a glare when he saw Hitoshi.
“What are you still doing here?” Hitoshi flinched, lowering his gaze to his toes. He knew this was going to happen, the entire family hated him. He didn’t blame them.
“Oh.” Taylor eyed the boy with annoyance. “Get out boy, we don’t need you right now. Our guests should be here soon and they don’t want to see a villain in the house. Be back by ten p.m.” She waved her hand in a shooing motion.
Hitoshi lifted his head quickly to look at her, his eyes filled with panic. It was somewhere around 6 o'clock! Why were they sending him out so early? Could he take some food with him? He turned slightly to the stove motioning to it carefully.
“She said get out!” Chisuke stepped up and grabbed Hitoshi's arm, harshly yanking him to the door.                                                                                            The boy yelped when he felt his arm that was being pulled jostle. His shoulder and temple hit the door frame while he was roughly shoved out of the house. He caught himself before he fell on his face and jumped when he heard the door slam behind him. Hitoshi’s eyes pricked with tears of frustration before he blinked them away. He was so hungry! What was he supposed to eat?! The dumpsters in the alleys didn’t seem very appealing, but he was beginning to get desperate. For now though, he'd rather starve.
“Not like I haven’t done it before. Just suck it up.” He sighed for the umpteenth time that day, running down the rugged streets and run-down houses. His home was located in a small town between Musutafu city and another town nearby. Outside his town was a forest preserve where Hitoshi often ventured off to.
When he got to the edge of the preserve, he crossed the road and slid down the steep slope that led to a more flat clearing, hidden by the bushes and leaves. Hitoshi huffed when he stepped on a sharp stone as he picked his way towards a river he always went to, brushing off the pain.                                                The lavender haired boy rushed to the river, a small smile spreading on his face. Finally, the solitude and fresh air is his for a while. A few hours at least. This thought made his shoulders slump and eyes dull. Sure, he’d rather be here than at the house full of smoke, beer bottles, and yelling, but his belly wasn’t relenting with it's growls and groans.
“I could fill up with water.. that sometimes helps.” Hitoshi walked along a faint path, that looked like it hasn’t been walked on in years, that lead to a more hidden and quiet area.
The rocks and pebbles where smoother here and easier to walk on with his bare feet, the skin underneath had toughened so sharp things couldn’t harm the pads of his feet much, but it still would cause him pain. He hopped up on a large rock that he loved to sunbathe on, the rays of light felt like a warm blanket on his body. The aching bruises that were appearing on his body from being forced out of the house pulsed with slight relief. He hummed happily before kneeling down and dipping his hands in the cool rushing water. He splashed a few times playfully, most of water landed in his hair causing the fluffy tufts began be weighed down and turned into curls that reached his shoulders. It was rare that he got these hours of pure freedom, even though it was sometimes miserable. Since he wasn’t able to go home until late evening, he had all the time he needed to himself.
Hitoshi looked down into the water and turned up his lip at his reflection. His temple had a large nasty bruise that came close to reaching his eyebrow as it trailed down to his cheekbone. It looked a lot worse than it felt, he frowned at the ugly sight.
Everyone told him he was ugly and plain, this would just add to it. The boy shrugged, dipping his hands in the water again and brought it up to his lips. He was able to take in a few swallows when he stopped suddenly. His body froze when he heard slow, rhythmic thumps coming his way, he could hear a merry whistle adding to the noise. The half dried leaves that crunched told him that whoever was coming was definitely a human.
He scrambled up and was about to jump up the small slope near the river to run into the bushes, but he was too slow. His eyes locked on a tall figure. A man he believed. He had long blonde hair that was tied into a half-bun and piercing green eyes. He had a short-sleeved black shirt that had 'Rock-n-roll' printed on it and orange glasses that hung on the collar. He had a red sweater tied around his waist and jeans.
“What a strange combination.” Hitoshi had only seen a person dress with so many styles a few times in his life, so this man was certainly something interesting to stare at. He tensed when the whistling stopped and the man along with it. Hitoshi's eyes met the man's orbs, he sucked in a breath. He looked familiar, where had he seen him before?                              An audible gasp brought Hitoshi back to the present, he waited for the man to start cursing him out or throw rocks at him for being a villain child. That, or the man ignoring him all together. What he wasn’t expecting was the stranger to start walking directly to his direction and walking off the path.
“Hey kid. You lost? Why are you here alone?” The man’s voice was smooth almost melodic, but he couldn’t think to long on that right now.
“He’s come to kill me. I heard a few thugs talking about it the other day, they didn’t want me around. Why else would this guy be here?! He’s probably not gonna pull out a weapon ‘til last minute.. that's what the others did.” The boy stepped back and whipped around to run, but he was trapped between a large fallen tree on the bank on his left and large sharp boulders bigger than himself to his right. The only route he could actually take wad to go across the river, but there weren’t any stones to hop on and the current was too strong. It would surely pull him under.
Hitoshi’s breath picked up when he turned to face the man again. A snarl ripped from his throat as a warning when he bent down to pick up a stick near his feet. He wished he learned to speak properly, he never really felt the need to speak, even after his quirk came, he was mute since he was a child. Now, he wasn’t allowed to speak and his vocal cords were not used to the sounds it needed to make words. And if he did manage to say something, it would be slow and choppy.
“I need to get out of here. What does this dude want!?” The boy's eyes scanned everything in front of him, looking for an exit. He pick up a rock and threw it at the blonde, not hitting him but close enough.
“Hey! Don’t throw stuff at me! Why're you doin' that?” The strange man set a small lunch box on the ground, something Hitoshi didn’t notice. He eyed the box before looking back at the man.
“Why can’t he take a hint?!” Hitoshi backed up a few steps, he could feel his feet begin to get too close to the water. He couldn’t stop the small whine that escaped his throat.
“It’s okay. I won’t hurt ya.” The man held his hands up, slowly inching forward. He was about 3 meters away from Hitoshi, close enough for him to see the strange light green swirls in his eyes.
“Don't believe him! There’s a small cave on the other side of the river. Jump over it.” Hitoshi’s mind nagged, his eyes darted from looking at the water and the man.
“Kid-?”
He decided to take a chance. He ran forward towards the blonde, startling him and making him back up. He got as close as he dared and sharply turned to face the river and sped to the edge as fast as he could jumping when he was about to run into the water.
He landed swiftly with a light ‘thump’, and scrambled up the rocky slope that led to a small cave that could only fit a small person in.
“Hey, wait! Where you goin'? Come back please!” The man reached out as he was jumping but was too far away to catch him. Hitoshi squeezed through a small opening in the cave, and couched down so he could keep an eye on the man but also keep out of sight.
“Hello? Please come back.” The voice pleaded, the young boy could feel his eyes search for him.
“So you can kill me? Haha, noo thank you.”
After a long pause he could hear some footsteps begin to walk away and fade into the distance.
“He’s leaving..” Hitoshi peeked out and saw the blonde slowly walking out of sight, his frame getting smaller the farther he walked down the path.
When he fully disappeared, his heart began to slow back it’s normal heartbeat, he wouldn't be dying today he supposed. He carefully crawled out of his hiding spot and walked down the river to the small stone crossing that couldn’t be seen on the other side of the fallen tree. The boy climbed up the slope and hopped up to the path. He looked over to where the left and then where he came. His eyes widened when he saw the lunch box still sitting in the same spot the man placed it.
“Did he forget it?” The young boy approached the box with interest, a mouth watering scent wafted to his nose that made his stomach rumble.
“Whatever it is, it’s mine now.” Hitoshi greedily snatched the box up and plopped down on his sunbathing rock. He opened the box carefully to reveal a small western style lunch.
“This looks amazing! If this is poisoned I’d gladly die this way!” He quickly dug in, not caring that he had dirty fingers, he was too hungry to care. Most of the food he had never eaten before, but it was the best he had tasted in literal years.
When he was done licking the remaining food on his fingers and neatly packed the empty lunch box again, placing it back where the blonde left it. Even though the amount of food would normally be considered a snack, it felt like a thanksgiving feast to him.
He sighed happily, flopping down with his hands cradling his head as he soaked in the sun’s heat. Soon, with a full belly and the calm sounds of nature surrounding him and the river running near his feet, he closed his eyes just to take a little nap.
The nap was longer than Hitoshi had originally planned, though he knew it wasn’t time to go home yet. Maybe another hour or so. But that wasn’t what he was thinking about right now, he was more focused on what had woken him up from his peaceful sleep. He could've sworn he heard a few crackles of the leaves and snaps of twigs nearby. He could feel eyes on his frozen form, he was on his knees looking around the forest and bushes.                      The sun was beginning to set which made it harder to see. He shakily grabbed a rock bigger than his fist and raised above his head, ready to throw it at any moment. He let out a pitched grunt, letting whoever was our there know he knew they were around and waited for an answer. He heard another snap of a twig to his right, where the blonde had disappeared.
“Did he come back? Will he be mad about the food?"
The boy crouched down and huddled near a bunch closest to the river in hopes whoever it was didn't have a hearing of or sight quirk.
"Hello? Come out where I can see you!" A low voice demanded, directed to his hiding spot.
"Shit, he noticed me." He shrank back deeper into the bush, biting his lower lip with worry. "I can't let him find me. Why are so many people walking down here today?!"
"I said come out! I'm a licensed pro-hero. I will not hesitate to fight and report you!."
The boy's eyes widened with fear. "Pro-hero?! Here, and now of all times?! I'm gonna die this way. That, or I'll get reported and be in big trouble. If he is local he'd know what my quirk is! I should probably come out, I don't want to make this worse for myself than it already is."  Hitoshi slowly crept out of the bushes, he had his hands up to his waist showing he wasn't holding anything. His eyes were downcast, listening to the running water to calm his slowly growing stress.
There was a long pause between the man and Hitoshi. The silence was broken by the pro-hero asking a question.
"Who are you?"
The lavender haired boy didn't look up. He almost didn't hear the man's question. He just wanted to leave and go back to the house. He body shook and he felt tears form in his eyes, he felt too scared to even move. His mind continued to form different outcomes of this situation. All of them negative.
"What if Taylor hears about this? She will tell Chisuke and they'll both beat me for causing trouble! I need to get out, now!" Hitoshi raised his gaze to meet the man's, if he had water in his mouth, he would surely choke.
Erasurehead.
"FUCK!" Hitoshi twisted around and ran down the path toward the other side of the large preserve, opposite of his town.
"Wait- where are you going?" He could hear the light thump of footsteps trailing after him. Hitoshi sped up if it was possible, his legs a lower back began to tingle and his lungs ached.
"Get out! Get out! Get out! Turn to the side, hide!"  Hitoshi jumped over a few bushes and zig-zagged occasionally, the dark shadows helping him disappear momentarily. He couldn't hear the footsteps anymore but he saw the capture scarf the hero was wearing, he knew he had to be up in the trees, following him silently.
"You do realize it's against the law to run from the law, right?" Erasurehead called out from above, making Hitoshi slip and almost fall with the sudden voice.
"Don't care. I'm not going to get caught so it won't matter! Just run faster Hitoshi, don't let him get close." The boy quickly recovered from his blunder and went behind a large tree. He covered his mouth to try and middle his wheezing pants, his heart was beating in his ears loudly.                                      He watched carefully when he caught sight of the pro-hero swinging from tree to tree. He held his breath when the man perched on a tree limb a few trees ahead and looked around calmly. His long raven hair fell around his face as a small breeze brushed by.
A few agonizing minutes went by before he got up from his spot and started to swing by his scarf once again towards the town Hitoshi was running to. The boy watched him disappear into the darkness and let out a breath.
"That was close. Too close. I should be more careful from now on. Speaking of being careful.." Hitoshi looked up to the sky, and saw that it was almost pitch black.
"I should be going to the house soon." He tiredly walked back to the river, the adrenaline rush was fading. He had run a lot farther than he expected. When he climbed up the steep hill to the quiet road, he looked down the other side of it, wondering if Erasurehead was still looking for him.
He shrugged his shoulders and walked down to the village to the house. He quietly slipped in through the back door, and tip-toed up the stairs. He crept into the room he shared with Eicho and curled up on the cold hard floor. He winced when all the strain in his back near his spine shot with pain and he tensed before fully relaxing.
He was about to fall asleep when he felt something brush up against him. He jumped and opened his eyes to see Eicho leaning over the edge of the bed, his black hair and soft brown eyes were barely visible. He had a thin blanket in hand, hanging it over Hitoshi's body hesitantly.
"U-um, Taylor and Chisuke were mad when you didn't come home on time. Better sleep as much as you can 'coz tomorrow they're gonna be harsh." Hitoshi could hear the sadness in his tone. "I borrowed some books from the school if you are up to looking at them tomorrow. I-I got you one that taught JSL too. Hope you'll like them."
The lavender haired boy nodded with a small smile on his face, reaching up and giving a feather light to Eicho's cheek as a 'thank you' when the blanket rested on him.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Hitoshi turned when the other boy did. He was about to drift to sleep when one last thought came to mind.
"I actually ran from my idol hero. Haha, what a day." The he fell asleep with a full belly and a warm blanket.
