COMPANIONS: Morrigan was Amihan’s first best friend outside of the Circle, and until the very end when she left, she also grew very close to Zevran and continually spends time with him even until DAI, Wynne became a mother figure to her despite their clashing beliefs and wrote to each other until her death, Amihan and Alistair did not get along and had a mostly tumultuous relationship until the Landsmeet, where they finally meet in the middle and Alistair becomes one of her closest friends. Leliana is the love of Amihan’s life, and the person who helped her realize her worth - she stays by Leliana’s side and ultimately marries her before Leliana becomes the Divine. She also grew close to Anders, someone she’s known since she was in Kinloch and considers him an older brother.

Initially, Amihan believes she is worthless and cursed, despite not really believing in the maker. She thinks her only purpose is to live quietly and survive. Despite being self-aware about her coldness, she believed she was better than anyone she disliked. 

Amihan’s coldness eventually warms, though her steely exterior never really goes away. She is a lot less selfish, but does not view herself as a hero and hates the title. She prefers just being the person who can hopefully make change where there needs to be.

My darling first-born, Amihan Amell (the namesake of this blog lol) for @filipinoocweek

It’s my first time attempting a full-on painting so please bear with me. She’s the very first Dragon Age OC I made, way back when my friend convinced me to give DAO a try and knew NOTHING about DA.

She’s the one closest to my heart - probably the one who’s the most like me. Ignoring the whole “There’s no Asians in Thedas” bs, I headcanon the Amells can trace their roots to Seheron, which is the Southeast Asia of Thedas. I actually have a post about this headcanon if anyone’s interested. 

I also wanted to write a reluctant hero, a very flawed one too who goes through a major redemption arc. As well as a representation of a brown lesbian who isn’t oversexualized or written by men - but written by someone who also is one.

I don’t like having favorites with my OCs (I feel a little guilty lol) but Amihan is definitely the one I poured a lot of my heart into.

WIP of my new Amell, Monica. I really liked the idea of Quentin from DA2 being Amell’s real dad, so that’s her backstory.

Also I just really wanted to make an Amell that was 100% evil and that’s a big villainous cliche. Yup, she’s terrible and horrible, lol. No redemption arc. And because I’m boring, she’s a blood mage.

Hi all! I’ve been thinking about this for a bit. I had to quit my job recently because of mental health, and while I get it sorted out at the moment, I decided to do Ko-Fi commissions so I could do a little something. 

Pretty self-explanatory at what you’ll get for each donation! If you want more examples of my art, there’s a gallery on my Ko-Fi page, my art blog is @amihanamell​ and I have an art tag here.

This is for bust portraits only, I want to be able to give you your money’s worth.

I’d prefer doing Dragon Age OCs/Characters as I’m the most familiar with them, but I will do any OC so long as you provide me adequate reference.

I will draw OCs, canon characters. Since I’m pretty Dragon Age centric I will draw elves, dwarves, qunari, your Warden, Hawke, or Inquisitor. 

I will not draw any mecha, anthropomorphic stuff, and monsters, not because I’m against it but because I’m not skilled enough for it lol, and I don’t want to disappoint anyone.

Obviously, no sexist, racist, homophobic, and bigoted stuff. 

I have the right to turn down a commission if I don’t feel comfortable about it or I feel like I don’t have the skill to draw it for you.
