A lot of how Anya treats Damian and what she does around him echo what Twilight does as a spy - because she sees herself on a mission to complete the Friendship Scheme, and because she just admires her papa’s spy craft that much.

And just as for Twilight, he is pretending so hard at Family that the Forgers have actually become his family, Anya is pretending so hard at Friend that Damian has actually become her friend. This is cute.

Except at some point, Yor would find out. At some point, Damian would find out… And it’s going to get so messy. Especially for two people who are insecure about relationships in the first place.

The funniest thing is that Twilight and Yor had this whole conversation as if they’d forgotten Nightfall was even there. Because to them - to Twilight in particular - she really wasn’t. In all these panels, he is just looking probably lovingly at his wife.
