@legend-in-training
Throwing wasn’t a good idea indeed as the poor shade sought refuge under a heap of leaves, staring at the stranger from afar.

red-link-dragneel:
Red stayed inside leaving the door completely unlocked. He kept the house warm so the harsh cold wouldn’t get inside, however his worry started to grow but he knew he couldn’t do much. Knowing the temperatures are starting to drop, and now going back outside will be a bit difficult due to his sensitivity to the cold
The night began getting colder. Curling himself up in ball, the shade tried to shield himself from the cold. He was used to feeling cold, however. He had been living in harsh conditions for a long time now. He couldn’t even remember how long it has been.

–<<⧗>>
The day itself had proved to be a rather warm one. Warm enough that Link had decided that he wanted to spend some time down at the lake. There was, at least to him, nothing out of the ordinary. He sat at the edge, dipping his feet into the cooling water, occasionally causing a disturbance to the water, and giggling in something of a childish glee.
For whatever reason, he happened to look up towards Dark. As he did so, he froze. Hadn’t he been alone literally minutes ago? Indeed, was his eyes playing tricks on him? Regardless of that, he felt the need to go and investigate. Something appeared wrong with them, based entirely on how they were seated. Carefully getting up, he padded over to where Dark was sat, completely unaware at that moment of whom they were approaching.
“Excuse me, are you alright?” He asked, once he was close enough. He was wary enough, however, to stop short of them. Hindsight told him that that would give him enough time to react should they decide that they were going to do something malevolent.
All the shade did, was looking at his own reflection. He hated how he looked like. The others of his kin looked different from him as well. They looked stronger and healthier than he did. But then again, they weren’t failures like Dark was. They were strong and could wield a sword. The weaker entity couldn’t. He couldn’t even hurt a fly even if he wanted to.
It was because he was so weak he didn’t have a sword or shield of his own. Only a dull dagger he hadn’t even used yet.
He finally looked away, at the grass underneath his feet. The shade knew this was Ganondorf’s way to get rid of him. Because the King of Evil didn’t want to bother himself dealing with something that was but a mere insect in his eyes. It made Dark’s chest hurt.
He was so absorbed in his own thoughts, he failed to hear someone approaching him. It was only when he heard a voice, his body froze in place. Carefully, he turned his head towards the direction the voice came from. When realising it was the Hero himself talking to him, panic befell the shade.
Scarlet eyes grew wide in fear, he tried standing up, but his feet gave away under him fast and he fell back down the ground, staring at the Hero with terrified eyes.

red-link-dragneel:
Red walk into his Cabin and starts putting on the fire, blowing his dragon fire into the fire place he starts putting the wood in to make the fire stay in place. He starts to then serve himself some stew and take out a book to start writing ‘adventures of the Four Sword’
For a long while, all the shade did was stare at the stew. He then putted a finger in it, pulling it back immediately when a hot, stinging sensation attacked his finger. He held his hand close to him, looking at the stew rather confused. Deciding he didn’t want to have it anymore, he shoved the stew back outside.

red-link-dragneel:
Thankfully red left all of his weapons back at home, he leaves the stew for the entity “I apologize for scaring you…but please I mean no harm…if you want I have a place for you to stay…my cabin is just ahead…” he then walked back home, expecting him to be too scared to follow or touched the stew. But he can only hope and pray that he will be alright and he cannot force him inside into the warmth, he doesn’t want to put him in anymore fear
The shade only decided to move again when he didn’t hear any footsteps anymore. Slowly, he crawled towards the stew that was left behind. The entity stared at it. He only saw that much food in the hands of others. Looking around, making sure there was no one else around, Dark carefully stretched out a hand, taking the stew and going back into his hollow tree trunk.

red-link-dragneel:
Red was not too far, in his Hylian form with his cloak hiding his dragon features except for his gem. His gem was lighting the way as he was gathering firewood for his cabin that wasn’t far. He passed by the hallow tree and frowned seeing dark “….goodness me…” he said worriedly To himself. Remember the previous encounter he started debating on whether or not to offer him a room to stay in at his little home. He looked around deciding to drop off his wood and come back…this time bringing some nice hot stew for the cold night
His ears were trained to pick up the even highest of sounds. Back in the castle, he was on constant alert because monsters and other shades often bullied him. So when he heard a voice, the entity dropped the nut he was nibbling on and scooted back into the hollow tree trunk, trembling in fear.

@spvritus liked for a starter!
It hasn’t been that long since the original shade had been killed. It made the other shades, including Dark, feel restless. Especially the weaker shade was terrified for his life. If it wasn’t for the Hero, it would be his master, Ganondorf, who would end him.
He longed to live in the light. He longed to live in peace. But he was a being of darkness. Was he even allowed to live in this world?
His journey brought him to Lake Hylia. But, why? This was the place where the original shade died in. Why was he here?
The entity looked at the water’s surface, carefully going closer to its edge. He looked down at his own reflection. He didn’t really like what he saw. His face was thinner than the other shades and his scarlet eyes laid sunken in their sockets.
He was a weak shade, a failure. Yet it was this failure that had to search for the Hero. A suicide mission. Even he knew that.
Sitting down, the entity hugged his knees as he continued to look at his own reflection.

@red-link-dragneel liked for a starter!
When it came to food and finding shelter, Dark wasn’t doing good. He often sheltered in hollow tree trunks or caves. But often more than not, those caves were already inhabited. Either by animals or other monsters.
But this time he was lucky. Having found a hollow tree trunk, the shade took shelter in it when the night began to fall. He had gathered a few nuts and berries that would be his dinner for tonight. Slowly, he began nibbling on a nut.
He was used eating this little so it was okay. He was also used sleeping in the cold. So that was okay as well. For now, he was safe and that was all that mattered.

“Hey Twiglet. I know you aren’t used to people giving you things but I wanted to get you something for valentines day even though we’re brothers. I didn’t get you chocolate as I know you aren’t keen on it. So i got you these instead!”.
(I know it seems weird but I didn’t want him to miss out! 0w0).
He liked the gifts a lot. Though he might run out of space in his bed soon because of all the plushies. But for now, he’d make a fort out of it and hide himself in it.

“Hello Cinnamon. I got you a few things and i hope they arrive safely. I’ll never understand how that postman can run so fast and still have tonnes of energy. Anyway I hope you like these gifts for your valentines day!”
Signed Wild.

Valentine’s Day? What kind of day was that? He didn’t really understand. Was it a day that everyone gave each other presents? He should ask Link later. In any case, the shade really did like the gifts Wild gave him. Except Buddy didn’t like the dog plush and growled at it.

untamedhero:
“Oh, I thought that you were looking for food because you were hungry. I heard someone say that you were searching through bins for food!” He replied as he approached the shade and his puppy. “Look if you are ever hungry, just let me, Link or Dark know and we’ll make you something”.
“None of us want you to get poorly for not eating properly”.
He stared at Wild rather emotionless. Why would he be searching bins for food? He wasn’t doing anything like that. He never did such a thing in his life. Well, he did picked up leftovers from the ground back in Hyrule Castle. If there were any leftovers left, that is.
The shade simple nodded, not understanding why Wild was making such a fuss about something he did not do.

Continued from here
He was confused as to why the Hero sounded so worried. He was only resting with Buddy in his lap. Standing up with the puppy in his hands, the shade looked at the Hero. “...Resting...” He responded.
