"I know what I have to do."
I have come to know the people here. My people. My world. And despite the differences each species carries and all the hate they harbor, I will stop the affliction and fix the chasm between them all.
If I have to break every sacred rule a million times, I will.
The original creatures that roamed this planet cast themselves in a divine clay so that they may always watch and decide our fates themselves. These living tombs exist in the snowy peaks atop the world and I will venture there again to break free from their vicious chains.
Wish me luck.
This might be the end...

"I was left alone."
My only friend died today.
I cannot bear to even write his name. He chose not to enter the machine to be reborn. He told me who I was and what I did. He was imprisoned for interrupting my execution all those years ago.
I was determined to save us. To keep all of us alive so that we might regain the ability to grow in numbers. But I failed. I broke the most sacred rule and tempted fate. That is why I was given that sentence. He saved me so that I could move forward and bring some change to the world. I will not fail.
But...now I'm all alone.

"There's a fog in my mind."
I woke up today.
Or rather... I was born today?
That machine...it was like an egg. I burst from it, choking on that black viscous amniotic-esque fluid. I had no sense of self. No recollection other than basic knowledge. How to walk, and speak, and the knowledge that I had died over 50 years ago. I could smell the salt of the sea, the scent of flowers, and the cold bite of the air. But it was not beautiful. I was afraid.
A stranger led me home through foggy woods. He brought me to the only person who knew me. That man told me my name.
Minerva.
