march (in april) —

yes, i know it’s not march, but i barely posted any of my march spreads and i really loved the theme, so here’s my march calendar!

april goals —

i can’t believe we’re already four!! months into 2021, it still feels like new year wasn’t even a thing! this month i decided to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone and do a theme that was a) not floral and b) pretty drawing heavy. i’m quite happy with how my goals/cover page came out, though you might be able to see where i messed up the title and had to stick paper over it.

a note: as koi carp were first bred in japan, and are still an important cultural symbol, i wanted to highlight some resources for combatting hate against asian communities (primarily in the uk seen as that’s where i’m from). here is a link to a crowdfunder for ‘end the virus of racism’, and here is a link to an article on what you can do to help in the uk. it’s important to recognise when we use parts of other cultures for our own art, and advocate for their issues as well as their culture.

i normally try and match my physics notes to the colour of the content booklet we’re given, but we didn’t get the booklets until after i started these, so technically they should be pink, but i kinda like these colours.

[190611] ㅡ I have been training myself to lessen the amount of negative words out of my mouth, especially those which degrade my own self. It has been two weeks and I start to feel a little positive change in me. I am so glad to the result and I hope I will be a lot more better in the future. :)
