Edit: Ed didn't make it... the meds didn't arrive on time as I had to go through another way as the vets don't have it / can have it as it isn't something they can get... I miss his little face

do you ever just wanna sit next to someone and listen to everything they could possibly say about anything ever just because you like their face and their voice and their general existence

He was homesick, that's why he seemed to be low-spirited and hoping not to run into someone he knows while out at the mall. At least he felt comfortable enough to share how he was feeling with her, hopefully she'll be able to help him feel a bit better. Or at least she'll do her best to help cheer him up! Even if she can get a genuine smile out of him she'll take that as a tiny victory.

"No, no not bothering me at all, Desmond" Leia nodded, giving him a smile hoping to put him at ease. "I'm also in no rush so I'm perfectly fine standing in line behind you and-oh!" She flushed slightly embarrassed he heard her stomach rumble and quickly changed the subject to hide her embarrassment. "I'm also sure you could go visit them during break sometime, yes?" She tilted her head slightly to the side not sure if he's able to do that by how he was talking.

"I know talking with people on the phone, either on call or with video isn't quite the same as having them in the room with you... But um! It is still nice we are able to keep in touch with our family and friends that way. Even with the long distance between us. Though... time zones can be a bit of a pain" A chuckle escaped as it is something she's used to dealing with since she was a child as her parents go all over the world months at a time.

Leia paused at what he asked her next, noticing right away the sad smile on his face while admitting his current feelings.

"Mmm... I have yes." She wasn't about to lie after he felt comfortable enough share his thoughts with her, it's better to let those kinds of emotions out and not bottle them up inside. It's still something she's struggling with herself, trying not to let that bottled up emotions get so full it bursts.

"Thankfully not nearly as often as I did before, but um... I'm not sure if it's exactly the same feeling your currently have?" For herself it was more of not feeling like she belonged, not feeling like she deserved to be with all these amazing people and their quirks. Making her own not seem to be as useful, which is completely untrue as it's just as amazing as everyone else's.

With a shake of his head Desmond would answer. "Fraid not, I haven't gotten a chance to fully know alot of them, class was the same size as your class- and I don't know; we been through fun times. And I miss my Grandparents and cousins and aunts and uncles...I wanna go back to Portland but I can't." Desmond cast his eyes downward in sadness.

"Oh sorry for bothering you while you're busy." Even though they were waiting in the same line and no one was to blame, he didn't know why he honestly did that. "You can go ahead of me in line so you can get back to it, I can hear your stomach rumbling- sorry lion hearing...I can hear alot of things..." If Leia scanned Des she'd notice headphones around his neck, but no jack and a setting that said 'dampen on or off' for the sensitive ears.

"Leia...you ever feel alone...even when you're around people?" He thought he'd ask, who knows why he asked her, maybe he was boiling over in emotion, maybe she seemed approachable or something, Despite that he tired to keep his emotions in check, a sad smile spread across his face.

By his hesitant response back to her, it seemed like he was hoping not to run into anyone he knew at the mall. Or was it rather him being more surprised to have ran into someone? Whatever the reason, she made a mental note to not linger around too long to let him continue shopping by himself.

"Have you found anything you think they'd might like?" Leia found herself asking curiously, almost suggesting she could possibly help his search. But decided against it as he did sound like he rather do this on his own.

"I've been here for a few hours as well, I was looking for a few new items for my dorm room and more school supplies." She nodded, giving him a smile in return. "I was going to head to the bookstore, but my stomach growled letting me know it wanted a snack" Leia chuckled, hoping it wouldn't suddenly start growling, or at least loud enough for Desmond to hear.

Desmond was at the mall by his lonesome, homesick and bored was a bad combination for a young person to have, so he decided to treat himself to a walk around the mall- may haps he find something useful, or something else among those lines. It reminded him of spending time at the mall with his old friends.

Luckily he didn't run into anyone from class, he wanted to grab some gifts and get out- after a while of shopping, he wanted to take a break, why not wait in line for some ice cream or a milk shake. His tail would slowly swish from side to side as he waited- then a familiar voice rang out towards him, damn he was hoping he wouldn't run into anyone.

"Oh Leia...hey." Des didn't really know how to start a conversation here. "I was shopping for...gifts for my friends...I miss them." Desmond admitted, thought partially embarrassed and partially bitter about the distance that separated them.

Desmond tried to recompose himself, the same smile plastered on his face. "I been here for a couple hours, and thought after all the walking I should break for a bit."

Sure felt like forever since she's been able to have some time off to head to the mall like this, it was nice to have a break from training and studying. At least the mall wasn't too crowded, not that she minded overly large crowds, just made it easier to navigate around and not worrying about accidently bumping into someone.

Leia did manage to find a few new items to decorate her dorm with, one of which is an adorable squish mallow Yamper plush about half the size of her pillow. Anther set of fairy lights to put around her tv, or maybe swap them out for the ones around her bed? It also came with a remote to change the colours if she wanted, and then some more school supplies as she wanted some more cute pens to use.

Pleased with her purchases, she decided to head to the food court next to grab a tasty treat from the ice cream shop. Debating if she should head home afterwards or check out one, or maybe two more stores before leaving. As luck would have it once she got into line there was a familiar face standing there just in front of her.

"Oh! Hey, Desmond" Leia beamed, not expecting to see him at the mall, or in the same line as the other. "Did you just get to the mall, or have you been also wandering around for a bit too?"

Leia was so wrapped up in her thoughts, or rather trying desperately to get out of them. She didn’t hear Katsuki walking over to her, despite his loud footsteps as he approached.

His voice however had startled her instead, making her jump slightly in surprise as she wasn’t expecting anyone else to head to the roof while she was still up there. Or rather someone outside of her class as they had been the only ones to know of her current whereabouts.

The tears she was trying to hold back from escaping from her eyes had fallen immediately, the large tears streaming down her cheeks with no intent on stopping anytime soon. Had she finally felt safe enough to cry because one of her childhood friends had found her? One who she's been wanting to become closer friends with again after reuniting with him and Izuku in UA.

A part of her did still feel bad for bursting into tears though, as crying doesn't solve anything... at least so she's been led to believe over the years.

A sniffle escaped just before he gave her a nudge with his arm, wanting to make sure she knew he was there without moving her too much in the process. Perhaps a mixture of not being sure if she had heard him the first time and to gently let her know she wasn't alone. The gesture was comforting and very sweet, although she couldn't quite voice it right now due to crying uncontrollably.

Leia took a few moments to find her voice in order to respond back to Katsuki after he asked her what was wrong. As she desperately tried to wipe the never ending tears coming from her eyes to no avail. Her pause possibly prompting him to add that if she ever needed him that she could just come seek him out instead of hiding away from everyone.

“I-I’m sorry…” She finally started to say, although unsure on just what she was apologizing for. Perhaps for hiding away and not seeking him out for support? Or for crying? Which she was still trying to clear away as she slowly looked over at the spikey haired blonde beside her. “I-I mean.. I just…. I just didn’t want… want to bother you-or anyone” Leia managed to get out between stutters and a sniffle or two.

Everyone else was already battling with their own personal demons and she didn’t want to add to it as hers most likely were trivial compared to everyone else. So she made herself believe. 

“Kacchan....Do…. Do I even belong here?” She sniffled as her shoulders slumped “It’s… it’s a matter of time until, until I get someone hurt with my usel- my quirk” She managed to catch herself just before saying the word her grandfather enjoys using to describe her quirk, along with a few other choice words.

it took some convincing - and a list of choice words - for class b to 'fess up where leia was. when katsuki got the information he was after, though, it was just a matter of marching up the stairs of the dorm to reach the rooftop where she was last sighted.

being in separate classes had changed their dynamic. not that it wasn't already altered by the gradual passage of time ; with katsuki developing a quirk praised for its versatility and heroicness, it wasn't unsurprising for leia and izuku both to get left behind while he charged toward his goal, believing himself the most suitable for the line of work they wanted to be in. it changed when they all landed a spot in the hero course. it took some time for katsuki to accept why the other two made it.

[ not that he didn't think they couldn't ; to properly articulate what he believed on the matter would be too complicated for most, anyway. ]

crimson catches a glimpse of the blonde girl as soon as he steps out onto the rooftop, quietly shutting the door behind him as he observes her body language from a distance first. there was a reason the class was unsure of disclosing her location to the young bakugou. katsuki, brash and blunt in his words, means that he isn't the best source for any comfort were someone not feeling too great about themselves, but that didn't mean he was oblivious to the emotions : on leia, it reads more than obvious. he doesn't have to see her face.

the way he makes his presence known is in heavy footsteps despite only wearing uwabaki, halting right beside the other blonde and staring at her for a few moments. he joins her on the ground with legs crossed and weight on right arm. ❛ oi. your class told me you were hiding up here for a bit. ❜

katsuki pauses. after a moment, he reaches and gives her a nudge.

❛ what's going through your head, booster pack ? ❜ he was not deku. he knows that he and leia were always closer than he'd been to either of them, but he was the one that came, and so - ❛ i'm not the shittiest person to go telling your issues to, y'know. ❜

Break him out again?! Eraser sounded so nonchalant about the whole thing as he carried them up the stairs so effortlessly. Sounds like this sort of thing happens so often with Mic, it's like second nature to him on busting his colleague out. Or was she reading too much into it?

The pair were bickering so loudly she hadn't heard the commotion forming outside, but instead happened to catch a glimpse of it while passing one of the many windows. It wasn't looking so good for these villains, or rather kidnappers in this case? Or did both still apply?

If only they weren't so loud she could try and focus on what sounded like footsteps in the distance heading towards their location. It would be even better if she was able to break free from this capture weapon, but unfortunately it was wrapped around her so tightly she could barely move a finger. Only up side was she was able to breath fine without too much trouble.

"I still insist it is in your best interest to just leave me behind so you'll be able to escape without too much trouble." Eraser still hasn't activated his quirk yet, which was a bit concerning as she still has no idea exactly what it is. She would've felt him switch it on, so to speak if he had activated it.

“If he gets arrested, we can always get him out again… Wouldn’t be the first time.”

“Oi! You are not leaving me behind again!” Mic protested, seeming to feel a little better despite the raspy voice - and as they argued their way up the steps, there was a visible commotion out the window. Police and Heroes were on the scene, and students had been evacuated away from the building. That could explain why everything was so quiet before…

The two villains didn’t notice the commotion in their chatter, too busy planning their escape. There wasn’t enough time to discuss the details; they just had to go now or risk more trouble than they were already aware of.

Although it was still quite cold outside, especially in the evenings once the sun went down. Leia still went to the rooftop of the student dorms on UA grounds, sitting on a blanket with another thicker fleece blanket over her lap. Her coat sat on her shoulders to keep her back warm while having her arms free to wrap around her legs. Holding them close to her chest as she watched the stars slowly appearing in the evening sky, catching a few glimpses of snowflakes falling down.

Leia always found it calming to look up at the sky during the day and or night from the rooftop. It helped on particularly rough days, one of those days being today. 

Normally she’d be able to take it in stride and bounce back fairly quickly with more determination than before. Except that wasn’t the case this time…

Everything she did just seemed to go wrong one way and or another today. Her classmates did their best to try cheering her up while assuring her that off days happen from time to time. It was very kind and sweet of them to help support her while she wasn’t feeling the best about her abilities and or skill. 

That is something she isn’t quite used to being the receiving end of, having people lifting you up instead of down like-

‘You're still going on about that pointless goal of yours?’

Leia couldn’t help but flinch as her grandfather’s sharp words suddenly came into her head like a razor sharp knife. Coming in louder and stronger than her own anxious thoughts could ever be.

‘You should give up before someone you love gets hurt because of your own shortcomings.’ 

The hold on her knees only got tighter as she took in a sharp inhale, pulling her knees in close as humanly possible against her chest. Trying to focus on something, anything else other than her grandfather's harsh words to try getting out of her head.

‘You're useless, just like that quirk of yours’

The tears she didn’t even realize that welled up in her eyes were threatening to fall at any moment. Was he right? Was this all for nothing and she’d only end up getting in the way?

It was beyond freezing outside that day, the wind chill made it feel even colder whenever it hit you. She'd most likely would've frozen solid after the first five to ten minutes if it wasn't for her winter hero costume keeping her toasty warm.

Carefully she adjusted her hood to make sure it was on securely on her head, making the cat looking ear pieces move back and forth in the process.

Leia glanced over at Shinsou who was standing a few feet away from her, they happened to run into one another while chasing down the same villain and were now taking a breather after capturing them.

"How are you holding up?" She asked, walking closer but not close enough to invade Shinou's personal space. "I got a hand warmer in my bag if you'd like to use it for a little bit to warm up."
