Judging from the panels of Chapter 20 vs 109

In the panel above, Seungho didn’t reject intoxicated Na-Kyum, right?

I see the similarity in chapter 109

Seungho is also shocked, and in both instances, Na-Kyum was the one who initiated contact. Though I think it’s a 50/50 if Na-Kyum will get rejected or not

Seungho could give in from pity and he could shower Na-Kyum with words of affirmation and reverse their role in chapter 20 wherein this time, Seungho will be the one to tell him

If he does reject Na-Kyum, then something similar to this scene might occur again

“I remained here for my lord, that’s why I was doing this for him…"

Na-Kyum could also come into another outburst at Seungho, and I don’t think Seungho will slap him if he did. And I don’t think Na-Kyum would slap Seungho (if he did, though, I don’t think Seungho will retaliate, he’d probably accept the slap thinking he deserved to be slapped)

Either of the scenes could end up with them fwopping, both damaged souls still not communicating as they should be

Chapters 20-21 - Na-Kyum crying for being rejected

Chapters 42-43 - Na-Kyum crying for being rejected again

Chapter 45, 48-49 - dead inside Na-Kyum acting like a prostitute

In all these chapters, Seungho had epiphanies afterwards. In chapter 50, Seungho realized that he loves Na-Kyum but never voiced it out. Hence, why he distanced himself. All of this fiasco could be avoided if Seungho just communicates properly next time instead of holing himself up in his room

Speaking of which, I am still waiting when this panel from Night Flower will come up

It can’t be during the next episode seeing as Seungho has a green durumagi

So I’m guessing that the Night Flower panel will happen sometime after they fwop-fwopped. Maybe that will be Seungho’s epiphany episode and he will recall everything and see it all over again through Na-Kyum

These panels are painful to read ffs

I had to take a moment and cry at these panels

LOOK AT THE PAIN IN HIS EYES 😭 That is the look of a haunted and broken man who's willing to blind himself to his own pain if it means being with the one he loves

In a way, Na-Kyum is now absorbing Seungho's coping mechanism of making a daydream for himself, skirting around a bigger issue that's right in front of him. In his mind, Na-Kyum is probably thinking the short amount of time that Seungho was away was simply a bad dream

THOSE PANELS ABOVE. The fact that the greatly feared Yoon Seungho is not afraid of looking "weak" and even going as far as to apologize to Na-Kyum magnifies the change love had done for him. It can also be because of the presence of his sisters-in-law (yes, I am referring to them as his in-laws now at this point)

I hope Heena can finally understand that no matter what, Na-Kyum will always get what he wants, even if it means it is to be doomed with Seungho in the end

I can’t help but to stop reading midway and marvel at the detail in this panel. Suffice it to say, this is my absolute favourite panel in Chapter 13. Notice the white lines on Dan’s nails? They’re called Muehrcke's lines - a sign of malnutrition or liver disease.

This aside, I also love the “flaw” on Jaekyung’s face, which is his cauliflower ears - an irreversible condition, caused by blunt trauma to the auricle. Something that MMA fighters or boxers wear as a badge of honour. Probably.

I am enjoying this manhwa and really loving how detail-oriented it is. Well done and keep up the good work, Mingwa! <3

The phrase “untie my/your my otgoreum (ribbon)” is basically a metaphor for having sex in Joseon. Nakuym is initiating in more ways than just one, shocking Seungho, especially when NK used to hold back from him so much but now there is so much honesty and sincerity in his eyes.

There was a time when Seungho used to be selfish and didn’t love Nakyum, but now he does love him to a point where he puts his lover’s pleasure before his own while denying himself release and goes out of his way to show that love.

Nakyum answers Seungho’s question by holding onto what he likes - Yoon Seungho, the man in in his arms. The feelings in his heart which he can’t still put into words, Nakyum finds another way to convey them to Seungho. And deep down, SH feels the truth, as an echo in his own heart.

Seungho and Nakyum have come a long way from the people they used to be in the shed. Nakyum gives Seungho the reply he couldn’t back then while Seungho gives Nakyum the loving care and patience he couldn’t in the shed. They’ve stopped holding back.

Seungho trying so hard to convince Nakyum he isn’t merely a stallion with a big cock, but so much more - that he is not only smart but the smartest of them all. While Nakyum just wants his date with Seungho - that date he was promised. These precious babies!

It looks like Nakyum did paint something the previous night - Seungho’s back and hands with his fingers. Revealing that Nakyum is as passionate, unrestrained and hungry for Seungho and Seungho is for him. This may be the first time Nakyum marked his lover’s body like this.

Seungho has finally get the smile he wished for from Nakyum for so long. It’s been a ardent need to see him smile because it would show that Nakyum is happy with him and that he is capable of making him happy - because what Seungho truly wants is for Nakyum to be happy with him.  Seungho got his winter cap and he even made Nakyum smile, coming one step closer to in his quest to make Nakyum laugh.

But let’s start at the beginning. It’s filthy but also utterly heartfelt how Seungho actually begs and tries to coax Nakyum to allow him to continue making love to him and stay inside him. You can feel if NK really wanted him to he would stop, but NK’s consent matters so much to SH that he entreats him so honestly.

Moreover, can we talk about how, despite his earlier pleas, Seungho pauses immediately when he hears the maids chatter about Nakyum? He might be starved for NK’s body but he is starved for every little piece of knowledge about Nakyum as much. Seungho’s been obsessively collecting these tidbits and engraving them into his memory. As if Nakyum were his idol and he is biggest fan. He’s been studying Nakyum like the most interesting of treatises in his library. There is always this pissed jealousy laced with sadness when he realizes that someone knows about his lover things he does not.

What makes Seungho the most jealous is hearing that someone made Nakyum laugh. which Seungho never managed. His reaction is not merely to continue fucking NK to stake his claim, it’s to remind him and himself that it’s him, Seungho, who occupies Nakyum’s mind and that he wants Seungho as much as Seungho wants him.

Seungho feels sheer panic and fear when he overhears about the letters, revealing that his biggest fears are losing Nakyum and Nakyum leaving him. He becomes utterly desperate and possessive, fierce with need to stake his claim on his lover.

Nakyum admitting he wants to spend more time with him always brings a visceral reaction out of Seungho - this stunned look, like he is shook and can’t quite believe or comprehend that Nakyum would willingly want to be with him all the time even when they don’t have sex.

Nakyum becomes disappointed and sad because of the calligrapher and Seungho can’t bear to see him unhappy and hurt. Actually, him making NK smile doesn’t initially come from a selfish need to see him smile but to stop NK from being sad. His first instinct is to chase the sadness away.

Seungho won’t have Nakyum staying hurt. This is the same man who buys him music boxes worth a kingdom the moment he looks at them because they stop him from crying. Seungho’s saying he’s going to give NK everything he wants and more and spend the whole day together with him gladly.

Seungho really went from zero to hero on the perfect lover front in those past 91 chapters, didn’t he?

On the other hand, at this point, Nakyum can’t deny Seungho anything, including his heart’s greatest desire.

Nakyum really went and gave Seungho all of himself. He is so fucking brave and loving. He clearly has a soft spot in his heart for bastards and broken things (since who else could love someone so utterly messed up and damaged as Seungho?) because the moment he saw no one in the world truly loved Seungho, including his father, Nakyum decided he would love him for all of them. 

 Like, I will never get over the fact that all these amazing profound moments happened. It feels almost surreal.

On a final note,  Seungho doesn’t merely crave Nakyum’s body, he aches for the very essence that is Nakyum. He loves it when Nakyum is daring outspoken and plucky with him. That’s when Seungho gives Nakyum his softest smiles. He doesn’t want submission and submissive lover, he wants acceptance and challenge

If you look at the analysis I made a year ago about the Ten Million Ri poem written by Wang Bang-Yeon, it seems my prediction about BD using King Danjong's death is now canon. Although, I overlooked who Inhun could be with regards to the historical blueprint BD (most likely) mirrored it from

Inhun could be General Kim Jongseo, the man who had been assassinated by King Sejo, and would've been the right-hand man of the eventually assassinated King Danjong

What common point did Jongseo and Inhun have, you ask?

King Danjong trusted Jongseo wholeheartedly and believed him to be a rightful and just man despite the fact that Jongseo himself had hidden agendas to take power from Danjong's throne, and 16-year-old King Danjong was never aware of this even after his death

Danjong and Na-Kyum are similar. Both became orphans at a young age and were raised by women (the palace maids and the princess vs the courtesans), they trusted a man whom they thought had been a confidant, a father figure who would eventually betray them, both remained innocent yet were untainted in terms of the cruelty of the world (politics vs the wicked nobles), and both were supported by powerful allies (the six martyred ministers vs Seungho)

Well, what happened afterward?

If my comparisons are correct, then when I assumed King Sejo the mastermind of the assassinations was Jihwa, we should also put Min in there, as well.

King Sejo (Jihwa and Min) had everyone who opposed him be assassinated, King Danjong (Na-Kyum) included. And Wang Bang-Yeon (Seungho), who couldn't do a thing as he was a mere follower of King Sejo, could only lament over the dead king for being the very man who delivered the poison (the secrets Seungho had been keeping from Na-Kyum) for the king to take

And this is history woven with fiction

In terms of the universe in PotN, there will (SHOULD) be a divergence, as Na-Kyum is alive, and he is not as voiceless as the assassinated king, and Seungho is not a follower of Min and Jihwa

BUT SEUNGHO COULD BE A PUPPET OF THOSE TWO IF IT MEANT NAKYUM WOULD STAY UNHARMED. He could follow what they ordered him to as long as Na-Kyum won't be taken away

And that is where the questioning of the court comes in. Min, just like King Sejo, rose to power through the support of his party, forged evidence against "rebellious clans", and false written confessions presented to the court. Let's not forget, too, that Min is not as ostracized by the public as Seungho. The commoners could be more inclined to believe whatever the jolly-looking and cheerful Min would say compared to the unapproachable and unruly Seungho

And the only one who would believe the falsely accused Seungho is the "powerless" and "voiceless" Na-Kyum

Min could have forged evidence (Seungho's forgotten sword, the letters by Heena--I'll get to this)

Speaking of which, WHY ON EARTH DID HEENA GO TO THE HOUSE ON THE DAY OF THE MURDER, ANYWAY?

You don't suppose... someone informed her, perhaps? Probably a certain wonky-browed nobleman "heard" things and said it to her in passing while in the gibang? And this was probably how she ended up going there at the break of dawn. Heena didn't hesitate to check if the rumors were credible or not, so she headed out to see for herself

But then how could she accuse Seungho all of a sudden? Who planted the seed in her head that Seungho was behind this?

THE SLIMY SNAKE, OF COURSE.

We had already seen how Min purposefully suggested that Na-Kyum should go to the gibang in the form of flaunting the kisaengs with him within the painter's plain sight. We have seen his cruel prank in the form of an assassination attempt and to frame Jihwa for the fall.

THIS MAN IS BEHIND IT ALL. HE IS THE REAL KING SEJO OF THIS STORY. THE USURPER AND THE POWER-HUNGRY SNAKE.

He managed to wound Seungho around his finger into tricking Jihwa was behind the kidnapping, and managed to enrapture Heena with his wild and tall tales that Seungho was the murderer of a scholar

The only consolation I have is that in history, King Sejo died of an incurable disease

Let's hope Min dies like that as well 😌😌😌😌
