I presented this piece in a dark gallery space. About knee night and only around 5x3 inches the viewer has to crouch and get close to watch the film. This further emphasises how personal the film is.

although this piece turned out to show all the raw emotion that I had hoped, it left very little to the imagination, leaving no room for interpretation. this didn't provide the same amount of comfort for others which I felt was portrayed through the silence in the other films. the silence felt more true to what I was feeling at the moment of making it, the silence/ absence of sound mimicking the absence of my grans presence and voice.

EDDITING EFFECTS

increased the sharpness and saturation of the image to make the details clearer.

created the final slide, emphasising this as a memorial piece. my colours for this slide were chosen specifically to indicate fading away, the fading of life.

EXPERIMENTING WITH EFFECTS.

I Brought the temperature of the video down to create an eery atmosphere and emphasise that the area feels cold. I increased the blur slightly to emphasise the feeling of something being missing or not seeming right.
