amylaurie for the ship game!
Send me a ship and I’ll play the Ship Game!
who’s the cuddler: Laurie, 100% Laurie
who makes the bed: Amy
who wakes up first: They both wake up unnaturally late but Amy is usually up first
who has the weird taste in music: Laurie
who is more protective: Laurie, only because Amy doesn't usually run into these situations as often as Laurie has to wrestle men away from the beautiful Amy
who sings in the shower: Amy, terribly
who cries during movies: Amy, Laurie loves her big heart
who spends the most while out shopping: Laurie, Amy still isn't used to having so much money
who kisses more roughly: Amy
who is more dominate: Amy, Amy, Amy
my rating of the ship from 1-10: 9/10, they really are the true ideal for adult love and how you end up with who you need not who you want and its beautiful, obsessed with this ship

Victor: (Faints after seeing the giant corpse man he has created)
The Creature: Father is...evil? Father is unyielding? Father is incapable of love? I am running away. I am packing my little rucksack and going out to explore the world as a lone vagabond. I can no longer thrive in this household.

No, I don’t want you to leave. I want you to stay.
You do?
Yes.
Then I would never leave if you wished me to stay.

“The Haunting of Hill House is about a very tight family and Bly Manor is about strangers. A family that is created. All of the people who inhabit Bly Manor come from completely different backgrounds and get to know each other through friendship, tension, conflict and love. What sets Bly Manor apart is that at its heart, it’s a love story. It’s a Gothic romance story. When you look at the word ‘romance’, it’s conjures up images in your mind. Gothic romance means something very, very different. Steeped in mystery and doom. Incredibly passionate emotion that is swung into the darkness of human nature… If there’s one thing that I hope fans take away from this season of Bly Manor, I think it’s that wonderful connection between a great love story and great ghost story. The two are really same thing. When we fall in love we’re giving birth to a new ghost. Something that is gonna follow us for the rest of our lives.” Mike Flanagan on The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
#ok so it’s what haunting of hill house should have been?#don’t get me wrong I like the series but the book is literally all strangers#also the themes that are explored in the book are so much more unique than the family theme they went with#just my opinion I still loved the series but I also watched it before I read the book#the haunting of bly manor#also I hate the turn of the screw so I don’t care how much they change this season from the book lol

I used to think the worst fate was to be a wife, I was young and stupid. Now I have changed. The worst fate is to live my life without you in it.
