Using outdated technology can negatively affect mental well-being, causing frustration and stress when performing tasks or enjoying leisure activities. Although upgrading can be costly, it may be a worthwhile investment if technology is essential to daily life.    I try to prioritizes mental and physical health when making purchases, believing that strategic investments can improve overall well-being. Upgrading technology could reduce stress and boost productivity, positively impacting health. Also referencing biblical teachings that promote a holistic approach to well-being, including healthy habits, exercise, stress management, and joy. Scripture encourages seeking medical help and prayer when needed, showing God's desire for His people's well-being, a topic the I already previously explored in an episode called "Life Inside the Holy Ghost."

Throughout my relationship with my former partner, I endured a range of manipulative and abusive behaviors that profoundly impacted my emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. These behaviors, which align with recognized patterns of psychological abuse, included gaslighting, grooming, love bombing, breadcrumbing, chronic dishonesty, and narcissistic abuse, among other forms of mistreatment. The cumulative effect of these actions created a deeply destabilizing environment, undermining my sense of self and security.

#Gaslighting: My ex-partner frequently engaged in gaslighting, manipulating my perception of reality to sow doubt and confusion. By denying events, minimizing my feelings, or reframing situations to cast blame on me, they eroded my confidence in my own judgment and memory, leaving me questioning my sanity.

#Grooming: Over time, I recognized that my ex employed grooming tactics to establish control. Through calculated efforts to build trust and dependency, they gradually normalized inappropriate or harmful behaviors, making it difficult for me to identify the abuse as it unfolded.

#LoveBombing: Early in the relationship, my ex used love bombing to overwhelm me with affection, attention, and promises of a shared future. This intense adoration created an emotional bond that later served as a tool for manipulation, as the affection was withdrawn or weaponized to enforce compliance.

#Breadcrumbing: My ex frequently engaged in breadcrumbing, offering sporadic moments of attention or affection to keep me emotionally invested while withholding genuine commitment or consistency. This unpredictable behavior fostered a cycle of hope and disappointment, further entrenching my emotional dependency.

Chronic Dishonesty: Deception was a hallmark of the relationship. My ex consistently misrepresented their intentions, actions, and feelings, creating a foundation of mistrust that permeated our interactions and compounded the emotional harm.

#Narcissistic#Abuse: The relationship was characterized by patterns of narcissistic abuse, including grandiosity, a lack of empathy, and a need for constant admiration. My ex prioritized their own needs and desires, often at my expense, using manipulation and control to maintain dominance in the relationship.

Post-Separation Abuse: Even after the relationship ended, my ex continued to engage in harassing behaviors, stalking, including attempts to defame me and disrupt my peace, necessitating additional protective measures.

Isolation Tactics: Through subtle and overt tactics, my ex isolated me from my loved ones, discouraging contact with friends and family to weaken my support system and increase my reliance on him. He even threatened to hack my friends to get them to stop speaking to me.

Financial Abuse: My ex didn't pay me $15k for work I did for him.

General Abuse: Beyond these specific tactics, I experienced broader forms of emotional and psychological abuse, including verbal degradation, isolation from support networks, and attempts to undermine my autonomy. These actions were designed to diminish my self-worth and maintain power over me.

The impact of these behaviors has been profound, contributing to significant emotional distress, including anxiety, diminished self-esteem, and challenges in trusting others. I am actively working to heal from these experiences through professional support, self-reflection, and reconnection with my support system. By sharing my story, I aim to raise awareness about the insidious nature of psychological abuse and advocate for others who may be navigating similar challenges. I hope the videos, and audios of #PurelySaid can help others as much as they have helped me. I will also be expanding even further thanks to a friend who has shared her story of her abusive ex.

Firewalls and the Armor of God

Firewalls protect computers by blocking unauthorized access while allowing safe traffic, but poor configuration can slow performance or leave vulnerabilities. Default settings may not suit unique needs (e.g., gamers, remote workers), requiring tweaks for balance.  Firewalls are like the "Armor of God" (Ephesians 6:10-17), where six spiritual elements work together, like a firewall, to shield believers from threats if actively used daily.

Ephesians 6:18 - "Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere."

I shared the importance of exercising caution with emails that appear to come from legitimate sources like PayPal, Facebook, or Microsoft, as scammers are becoming increasingly skilled at creating fraudulent messages. I share steps to confirm the authenticity of such emails, including checking if you recently initiated the action mentioned (e.g., a password reset or transaction) and examining the email for personalization and a matching recipient address. If these indicators suggest a scam, I recommend deleting or reporting the email.   I then share the parallels between scam emails and matters of faith, sharing a personal story about a toxic relationship. After the relationship ended, my ex-partner attacked my character and faith, which I hold as a core principle in my life and businesses (e.g., featuring my testimony on my voice-over website). I note that such behavior is common among those who are hurting and that some individuals or groups exploit faith for personal gain. However, I believe that deception is unsustainable, and authenticity endures over time—supported by the fact that you continue to listen. I conclude by encouraging vigilance in both digital interactions and personal trust, emphasizing the reliability of gut instincts.
