We hope everyone is holding up ok throughout all this! With such uncertainty for the future I wanted to extend my love and sympathy to everyone struggling right now. As a small business owner, I am definitely feeling it, and don’t know what to think or feel anymore. All I know is that I have this apothecary, and I have tons of wonderful herbs that can assist in many ways. We are accepting appointments, drive up pickups, and would be happy to deliver in the evenings. Just got back from a very surreal trip to our local Town and Country food store. After a few laughs with other customers, and taking photographic evidence of the depleted shelves, I asked our cashier how she was holding up through all this. She paused, and we each took a few deep breathes together, then her response just broke me to pieces. Maybe because I have been on the other side of the checkout line and I have a slight understanding of what she actually might be going through. But really, not at all. In spirit of international women’s day (Which is everyday in my opinion) I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of my lovely lady consignors for being a part of the magic @bohemeapotheca - I will be showcasing one a day until I have thanked each one individually. You are all such an inspiration. I am very lucky to work with so many creative ladies!! To start it off I wanted to touch base with my roots. Grounding it down with a hometown favorite @rock_paper_swans - although I haven’t met Jessica in person that I’m aware of, my childhood best friend @rebechuravy connected me with her and her creations when we opened the shop. I immediately fell in love with her jewelry as it’s all very earthy and me. I’ve never seen anything like what she’s making and knew her aesthetic would fit right in with Bohème Apothēca. Each piece she makes is one of a kind and made from objects found in nature. She enjoys spending most of her free time outside gathering bits for new creations and making beautiful/fleeting art with leaves and whatever is in the yard with her littles. Why is astrology so damn literal sometimes? My husband’s Leo moon is super activated this weekend with Jupiter conjunct his natal moon + a lunar return right before the full moon. @fixedstarforge Today he’s given an opportunity to work as an background actor in a feature length film called God’s Country. A neo-Western Thriller staring the one and only @thandienewton !!! The role he was chosen for is very much his Scorpio nature, and it will also be a night shoot. With his moon in Leo he always shines at night. He’s been super funny since signing on, saying that he’s a method actor and that he needs to be in character at all times. With Jupiter there I’m afraid they might scoop him up and take him away to Hollywood forever. He is gonna do so great!!! Also, he was offered a last minute dj gig here in town for tomorrow night.
