#TYPOGRAPHY
I have been thinking about the style for my magazine and didn't really think I wanted to include a title-  but also would not want it black so then potential viewers would not know the name of it. Therefore I have taken the 'xo' from my blog name and added a comma for a different look.
I have created a clipping mask of sneak previews of my favourite work I have created in the magazine as well - so it includes a few of my illustrations and part of the 10 piece collection I have created!

This typography I have created out of different silhouettes of womens body. It isn't realistic so very abstract but I really like abstract work. I have also duplicated the image so it has created a blurred/ brush tool effect.
I am loving the long eyelashes on illustrations at the moment so filled in the models face with just a couple of long lashes and a bob cut hair style for a sheek finish!

I have tried to use similar techniques of the typography I have blogged of another designers work. I feel this illustrates the woman's face that I have drawn. I have filled in all the lady's face with words that relate to my life and the london lifestyle I am living been an intern!
I feel this looks good if I say so myself as you can tell the details of the face and it all relates to my life - so very personal to me.

I have been testing out typography for titles on my pages and really like the way I have illustrated these.
Using a different variety of techniques to create exciting titles which hopefully fit in with the correct theme.

I love this kind of typography as it creates an image with the words - very artistic. I am not sure of the Artist so it remains unkown but amazing work!

#PHOTOGRAPHYMOCKUPIMAGE
I feel this has created a very artistic image and I think this is mainly from the painted background however the way I have adapted my illustrations compliments the background. I have lowered the opacity on these pieces as well as Inverting an image to make it black and white on the front.

#PHOTOGRAPHYMOCKUPIMAGE
I really enjoyed doing this mock-up image as I love the photography in the background! This is because the photography is from Shoredirtch and all the street art around there is amazing! Very inspirational! I have taken the image and lowered the brightness level also made the contrast much higher. I have taken an illustration I have created of a model in a large fluffy coat and duplicated the layers, inverted a couple of layers as well as adding a layer fill of a bright colour so the over all illustrations attract the eye more than the background image! Which I feel has worked very well in this specific image.
I have used the bright colours to make the image stand out further and this is inspiration I have taken from Chris Morris photography again as all of the focus is on the models in his photography - likewise to mine it is on the illustration.

#PHOTOGRAPHYMOCKUPIMAGE
This mock up is a photograph I took and created into a print - which I have further changed by lowering the opacity, duplicating the layer and inverting half of the layer. I have also used my own illustration sketches to merge into this piece. I feel some aspects may be lost in this image - it isn't in my top three images.

I have used an image of my own that I have dimmed the brightness so the background looks more 'dingy' or dark and mysterious. I have taken an illustration and inverted the colours also added colour to the illustration it self - lowering the capacity so the body's blend more into the 'middle ground'. In the foreground is an illustration I have drawn and I have duplicated the layers creating an distorted figure which stands out at the front of the image. Inspiration is taken from the Chris Harris images I have recently re-blogged.

Chris Harris' photography is fabulous! I have only recently discovered his work over the summer by chance when somebody told me to follow him on instagram!
Some of the photos are so natural and not forced 'fashion photographs' which is great as photographs show the effort put in and too much kills the photograph in my eyes. I feel that Chris has the correct balance in his photos.
Image 2: The colours used are great in this photograph. Yellow is such a powerful colour but the model still owns the photograph by the way the lighting is gleeming of her skin. The image oozes coolness from the circular glasses to the clashing printed clothing.
image 3: the vibrancy from the sugar pink skirt shines through this image and it is so clever using such bright and crisp colours such as white and pink against a dingy wall as they both are such opposites they then work with one another in the image. The brightness is very bright on the model but that totally works for this image for the factors that I have just stated. The model looks very ditsy and fun but then can be straight to work - always one step ahead.
image 4:the model in this image is again the highlight and main focus of the image which again works well with the autumn rusty brown tones from the surrounding background image. I love the broken windows and glasswork in this image which corresponds to my glasswork research earlier in this blog. The shocking pink lipstick works well with the models face as it is such a vibrant colour only a little bit should be used for the colour palette. Plus loving the funky retro socks!

Primrose: Early colour photography in Russia
This exhibition doesn't correspond to fashion design however I found the images very intriguing as these were some of the first colour photos the world would have seen -  which is something magical in its self.
The photographs are quite simple but they are all captured perfectly and very clearly thought out for the angles of the shoot. I particularly like the family photo image with the primary colours styled on them - which works well with the previous illustrations I have uploaded of the standard colours.
I love landscape images and especially with the sea as it can always look so beautiful - the sea in this image looks very nice and a good use of subtle blues, turquoises and greens. The image shows the stillness of the sea in contrast to the busy more colourful town life.

Lorenzo Vitturi "Salad on anatomy"
I found these pieces extremely interesting at an exhibition I visited last month with some friends. Lorenzo has placed the fruit in clever ways to create what looks like silhouettes in my eyes and used the banana fruit in very interesting ways.
I really like the textures these photographs have to them - especially the banana skin and peel which looks like it could be wood stripped and piled on each other.
I understand that these are not fashion photography but any photography I like could be developed and taken aspects from to create an artistic fashion piece.

I love Daphne Groeneveld as a model and almost always use her face as a guideline when illustrating. I saw Igor and Andres work on her and was blown away. The illustration looks like it could be a photograph from the amazing paintwork and highlighting in image 2. Which contrasts to the pencil and fine pen drawing in image 1 - still amazing!

Sabine Pierpers illustrations are out of this world. The creativey is flowing through every image. So many mixed medias are used which all compliment one another and have a real flow to the pieces.
I much prefer personally to draw with pencil or a black fine pen, adding the occasional colour. I feel that Sabine also uses a lot of pencil and fine liners however adds colour very wisely which gives the images the overall wow effect.

#SHOREDITCHSTREETART
Graffiti is everywhere in London, especially Shoreditch the heart of East London! There is some fabulous artistic work covering the full length of some buildings -  here a few snaps I particularly love around the area.

#PHOTOGRAPHYMOCKUP
I have take aspects of the photograph that I last re-blogged to create an 80's style silhouette - featuring Afro hair and a little shift dress or play suit, however your own imagination works. I really like this silhouette and the print effect it has running through the piece.
I haven't adapted the colours from the original photograph as I really liked them and thought it didn't need changing at all as they all bounced of each other - which I feel like do in this mock up silhouette.

This photograph is so lovely as it just oozes happiness through the bright and vibrant tropical colours. The colours contrast one another but work so well together as there is a subtle blend of the colours running through one another.
Even though the photograph looks tropical, I am assuming it isn't as the flower is a dandelion. The photograph is really precise as it captures each tiny detail on the flower head. I think that the outline and shapes the three flowers create together could be adapted to make a fashion silhouette shape of three women posing together.
