One of the many angles one can take in Anaroceit is having them all beefing at the start. Jan and Vee getting a rise out of Ro because it's fun to poke his buttons.

And then having a bit of beef between Jan and Vee.

Ro beefing in retaliation.

Just. So much belligerent nonsense.

And we can either stay there and have a laugh. Or do the Enemies -> Friends -> Lovers thing if ya want.

But they all gotta beef at some point - and maybe throughout that relationship progression.

So a YouTube Short got me thinking about linguistics stufff...

Feel free to refine this, I'm working on EXTREMELY rusty memory of ASL. (Like it's almost a decade and a half since my time in college learning the introduction to it.)

Just wanted to demo a gloss of someone relating the gist of a certain scene in SaSi to someone - with focus on the spatial encoding aspect of things (since ASL doesn't really do [gendered] pronouns unless it's absolutely necessary to convey - you just point at and/or direct character actions around reference points in space).

[Finger spell R-O-M-A-N, a lil to the right] STAND in-front TV, TALK-to GROUP (specify who/where beforehand). [Finger spell R-E-M-U-S, a lil to the left] CROUCH behind TV, slowly-RISE. Just had a silly convo with the co-co on this that made me laugh.

One of my favorite HCs for Remus is making him some grade of alexithymic.

Could be relatively mild or otherwise well-compensated. Could be significant and an absolute intra/interpersonal disaster about it. Got some options, there.

Ngl, I think one of my fave plays on Creativitwins in many AUs is Roman being judgy/confused about Remus's choices in partners.

Just full-on ಠ_ಠ face.

Even funnier if Remus is like that about Roman's hook-ups... and for wildly different reasons.

Just a fun linguistics thought: Janus ADORES contronyms.

The fact they're also known as Janus words just makes them that much better.

Just to pull a few English examples from the Wiki article on those things~

Cleave can mean "to cling" or "to split apart".

Clip can mean "attach" or "cut off".

Dust can mean "to remove dust" (cleaning a house) or "to add dust" (e.g., to dust a cake with powdered sugar).

Just. More opportunities for Jan to obfuscate his speech and be an absolute troll~ /affectionate

Especially when they're complete fucking dorks about it.

Random fuzziness/blendiness among the Sides is great to me. (Because there's a lot of fuzziness in labeling features of the psyche when ya go past the brass tacks. Reflective of how reality tends to wriggle at labels/categories, when under enough scrutiny.)

Like. I feel like the whole getting decapitated on "it's a small world" tangent Logan had in AA was totally colored by Remus's influence.

No one is gonna convince me otherwise on that one.
