Flowering dogwood seizes the senses,
propelling me aloft, twirling ever higher.
Robins belt a hymn in dedication,
sunlight bends and breaks,
bathing my skin, illuminating the soul.
I revel in the moment, knowing its rarity,
as clouds float ominously on the horizon.
However fleeting, it makes no matter.
All below me fades to grey and white,
ascending higher still, I wonder;
Will I ever be so high again?
And what do I owe this gift?
To my surprise, the sky responds in turn;
"Nothing at all," I am assured.
But as I drift amid azure,
I am tethered by whispers of the Earth,
though the weightless joy holds tight.
Here, above the chaos of my mind,
I find clarity, unburdened and pure,
cradled by the vast, forgiving blue.
I breathe in this newfound lightness,
a testament to the beauty of simply being.
And for a moment, I am infinite.
I am uncontained,
a part of everything and nothing,
where anxiety dissolves into the ether,
replaced by a tranquil, profound stillness.
