                JOKER is avidly watching every movement by EVERY inmate from the cell in which he sits, his gaze lingering on anyone who dares look directly at him for a time .. and this time, deep brown eyes meet crystal blues. he cants his head toward one shoulder, curious, remaining vague in his observation of the male who seemed just as intrigued by him, before a grin CRACKS the paint on his face and a low howl of laughter seeps from his mouth. the other has captured his full attention now, derailing his prior commitment of trying to find some sort of WEAKNESS in any one of the other males in the building .. if he had managed to serve himself up in such a way that he was far from invisible, even without OPENING his mouth, then he was set for the remainder of his BREAK behind these bars. ' ——d'ya wanna know how i got these SCARRRS ?? ' he is still grinning from ear to ear as he asks, nudging the man to give him some sort of REBUTTAL in place of actually engaging in some form of communication. he was prone to narrative warfare, though .. most of those he chose to engage with seemed to turn in the opposite direction, but that only prompted the CLOWN all the more.

Joker had been watching how his own men had been ogling his little girl, his pride and joy, his beautiful && remarkably intelligent princess. A man like him had never held much hope for being a father and nor had he ever entertained the thought, but since finding out that Harley was pregnant all those years ago, there had been a noticeable change in the male. To those around him, he was a doting daddy, but to everyone else, he was still the same old reckless, chaotic clown prince that the city of Gotham had ever encountered. And here, one of his goons was trying his patience, as he had been all night ; pushing the temper of the criminal right to the borders of what was reasonable and if he was not careful, they would be facing something of a bloodbath in the club tonight. The other man regarded him for a few seconds, almost had the look of a deer caught in the headlights, before he realised his mistake and removed his hand from its perch, his fingers unclasping from their hold on the young blonde’s thigh. ‘ Y’ever touch my baby again, I’ll kill’ya. ‘

     “J” she tested the name mauling it over in her head and tongue–it felt weird? If she could describe it that way, It suited him, yes but not for her, it wasn’t at all what she expected to call her dad when she met him but she would keep her thoughts to herself. “Sooooo J ah—what cha doing here anyway?”  From what he had already said, he hadn’t known she existed and he obviously wasn’t ready for the father role, Lucy wondered why he would even want to meet her in the first place–wouldn’t it of been better just to continue on with his life without meeting her? 

         Joker somehow found loathing for the simple fact that for his own needs to actually feel better about the two of them conversing, she had to refer to him in such a way ; it was the only thing that wouldn’t be too abnormal for him - if he felt for one moment that she wanted to actually go ahead and call him Dad his likely reaction would be to freak out and disperse, never to see her again. Perhaps all he really needed was a little more time to adjust, but even that seemed way out there for him to consider the possibility he might let her call him such an affection term. ‘   I wanted t’see ya for myself ——— see if y’look anythin’ like me an’ all that .. suppose y’do, but ya look more like y’mother.   ‘
