Bitcoin? What in the pit was bitcoin? Starscream tried to recall a currency by that name though the mass of currencies and payment methods he had skimmed through doing his research. Apparently he hadn’t done enough research.

Starscream received a ping from the irritating brute Blackout back on the Nemesis, and had to cut his communiques short. Over the next few solar cycles, he found the time to look over the file, but couldn’t quite get the hang of using bitcoin. How did one even do that? He could find some info, but with Soundwave’s oppressive gaze, real research was difficult to complete.

[ I would be happy to complete the payment for the job, but I am having some small issues with figuring out exactly how to process it. Is there an alternate method? ]

The reply was immediate, for which Starscream was thankful. It was about time for him to be returning to the Nemesis, else he would no doubt arouse suspicion over something. It was almost as if his dear Lord Megatron didn’t trust him.

Before making a reply of his own, however, he did a quick look-up of what “;)” signified. Sly, clever little humans.

Starscream pinged over his ‘wishlist’ and a reply once more.

[ I am more than prepared to pay your prices. And more the faster you can get this done, of course. How would you like to arrange your payment? ]

The mech hoped that this wouldn’t be too difficult for him, as he could access however much ‘digital’ cash he could please, but it would be a bit of a hassle to arrange for physical payment. Moreover, he was rather conspicuous to say the least. If sen7inel could be trusted, he would be more than pleased to reveal that little secret, but until then... he would simply remain wind-spires.

Finally. Starscream read over the message quickly, momentarily stumbling over the shorthand. Excellent. The mech decided on a short flight while composing his next message back, just to excuse himself from the realm of Soundwave’s immediate scrutiny.

The air felt good over his armour, and the climate was plenty conducive to distracted flying.

Starscream kept his back turned to the room. Soundwave had eyes everywhere, after all. Subtly, he checked his incoming messages. Nothing. He had to wait, assuming he had done everything correctly.

Subterfuge was a such a volatile game to play. Any little thing could send his plans in a different direction, and that wasn’t going to be conducive to his end goal. Privately, he skimmed over the message again. He was sure he’d sent it over the correct communication lines, just out of Soundwave’s realm of knowledge. It was such a little message. Sure not to turn up too much notice.
