NaNo day 10: 16,777 words (1704 today)

I’ve really been struggling with All Brave and Beautiful Things lately so I decided to take a little break. Today’s 1,700 words were of a different project, an as-yet nameless lesbian romance. I’ll revisit ABABT tomorrow and see how I feel.

Favorite line: “Not only do I not have a cute musician girlfriend, now I can’t buy groceries for a week.”

NaNo day 7: 12,517 words (1,670 today)

I knocked out a good 800 words on paper during work today. When I typed it up on my computer it somehow turned into 1500 words? Magic.

Favorite line: Those were the eyes of a girl who had known danger and had liked it.

NaNo day 6: 10,847 words (1,703 today)

Broke 10K, woo! To be honest I spent more time following election coverage than writing today, but I got it all in.

Favorite line: According to her sisters, the back door squeaked. And so did the porch. And the stairs inside. And all of the floors in the house. Bhani had no way to verify this information. She would have to be very, very careful.

The world needs more lady characters with scars, and shit. And I don’t just mean like a classic scar across the eye, or like a perfect one on the cheek. I want some jagged fucked up scars. I want a lady who had half her face blown off by an explosion, or is covered with bullet wounds, and scars. Basically I want a lady equivalent to Sugimoto from Golden Kamuy. And while your at it give me more ladies who have had amputated limbs too, and prosthetics. More characters like Furiosa.

World building fun fact: traditional Soriv religion/mythology doesn’t have Gods, just patrons- exceptional humans who have been elevated to a state of godhood due to good deeds or power.
