PAGET: Why would you have to pick one over the other? I am not following your mind path.
AJ: I never said I would have to pick either of them.
AJ: Shh. I just like your face and would pick anything with you in it.

PAGET: What does his character on Grandfathered have to do with Sara?
AJ: I would pick Jimmy over Uncle Jesse because Jimmy means that Sara's involved, and I'm a fan of your face on my television.

Arguing about being number one obviously wouldn’t take place, if the other was going to put her son first. Mekhai was everything good in Andrea’s life. And like any mother, she took pride in the fact that her little man weaseled his way into the hearts of others. “He is quite the guy.” A smile followed her words; one that only came around when speaking of the boy. There was a certain calm offered by the sound of the woman’s heart beating rather erratically below her ear; it wasn’t just happening to her. Blue eyes bore down upon the other woman as she spoke, studying every little detail, and the moment brown eyes snapped open, she was lost. It was a familiar sense that hadn’t been felt in what seemed to be ages. Hues of chocolate painting every inch of what she considered home. Her lips curled the moment Paget took hold of her face, relishing in the warmth that erupted from such a simple touch. And they took off the moment they brushed against their favorite pair. “I don’t plan to ever let you go again.” She managed to whisper it out before a giggle fell from her lips. Any form of retort died the moment lips met again. This kiss — oh, this one was met with every bit of emotion the blonde could pour into it. Months had gone by since the last time they touched, yet it had felt like a life time. Her arm anchored to the bed was used to help push herself up to replace the other across the woman’s torso with her leg as she surged into the kiss; her free hand coming up to rest upon the side of the woman’s neck, fanning out on contact.
“You outta be glad to be in second because Mekhai is first.” Children had never been something the actress truly wanted in her life, which made her selfish to some. While she understood the need for others to mother, raise little people, that instinct just wasn’t instilled in her. However, upon meeting Mekhai for the first time things altered. No, she didn’t want to have a child of her own but she could love one as if he was. Spoil him rotten. And that’s exactly what she had done over time. That is exactly why the split was done without much argument. Mekhai deserved to be happy. He deserved to be put first by everyone in his life. As soon as the slender toned body pressed against her own neurons fired rapidly. It had been so incredibly long since a moment such as this was shared between the two; intimate physical contact that is. Those words caused her heart to race which was undoubtedly heard by the woman perched upon her chest, and eyes to flutter close. It was hard to hear them even if they elated her. Rejection wasn’t something the raven haired woman dealt with well. But rejection seemed to be the last thing on AJ’s mind. Brown eyes snapped open in search of blue as blood pumped so fast through her system it was all she could hear for a brief moment. “Ayage.” Fell off her lips in but a whisper as a hand moved to cup the younger woman’s face. “You’ve always had all of me.” Longer than she liked to admit. Paget lifted her head from the pillow to brush their lips together gently, a smile curling on her own. “At least this time you’re not interrupting a show.” She quipped playfully before kissing her passionately.

Cheeky. Her lips pursed at the older woman’s words, restraining herself from continuing to entertain the whole scout scenario. A feigned gasp echoed through the room. “Second greatest? Why I oughta…” A fit of giggles bubbled within her chest. “It’s a good thing I showed up then, tonight. That ego of yours deserves to be inflated enough to fill the room.” Paget Valerie Brewster was a goddamned vision, and anyone who didn’t see that needed to make an eye doctor’s appointment. A soft sigh slipped past lips as fingers made purchase with her hair. It felt absolutely amazing to be in the older woman’s presence again. Blue eyes raked over the woman’s silhouette the moment she rolled over. It broke her heart to think of the pain she caused the woman that she loved. Whether things happened for a legitimate reason or not, leaving the love of her life was the hardest thing she ever had to do, and not a day went by that Paget wasn’t missed. Arms came up to help push AJ up off of the bed, helping her move to settle her head upon a supple chest, before one was draped across the other’s waist. Relishing in the warmth of the woman’s body, she took a moment to let her senses consume everything about her new position. The woman’s scent filling her nostrils; the feeling of her body against her own. It was all utterly delicious. There was something that should have been said about personal space, but what was that again? Andrea had a tendency to blow through barriers when it came to the raven haired beauty. “I left because I had to — we both know this — and while everything’s gotten settled in that sense, I’ve not felt whole since the day we parted. Sure, I’ve been happy because Mekhai is happiness, but Pag —“ She moved her arm underneath her to prop herself up to the point where she could glance down at the other woman. “I’ve missed you every single day. My body has physically ached to wrap around you. My mind has screamed to tell you things that I simply couldn’t because you weren’t here. My soul has been utterly lost.” Dropping her head softly against the woman’s shoulder, she took a deep breath. “I just —“ Her head was lifted once more. “I want you. All of you. I didn’t want to remain just friends many moons ago, as we lay on this very bed, and I don’t want to do so now.”
“Like a kid?” She finished the thought playfully, knowing damn well that’s not what AJ was thinking. “Ehh, AJ is second greatest.” Shoulder shrugged as the brunette did everything to hold a straight face. It was nice having the blonde in her bed again. Nerve wrecking but nice. “You’re welcome to stroke it anytime! It’s been lonely lately.” Actually since AJ left to take care of business, but that wasn’t something to be brought up. Paget might be a bluntly honest person but making the woman she loved sad wasn’t in the cards. And AJ would end up feeling terrible if she knew how Paget felt after the split. A smile split across the older womans face as fingers brushed blonde strands from the other woman’s. “I know you do. That was never something I questioned.” Slender fingers laced through AJ’s hair, short nails lightly scraping against her scalp. “We just need to lay down ground rules. Expectations. I need to know whether you want to be friends or more before I do anything, Ayage.” It was now the once Emily Prentiss’ turn to roll onto her back. Brown eyes focused on the spinning ceiling fan as emotions she worked so damn hard to bury resurfaced. FUCKING HELL! This was not on the agenda for tonight. Nope. She wouldn’t allow them. “I can’t get wrapped up in you again if you aren’t all in. I’m not sure I would survive you leaving me a second time.” The words were almost a whisper as they mixed with a sigh. “But please don’t take this as me being upset you left the first. I know why you did it and I respect you for it.” Rolling her head to the side, she offered a weak smile to the other woman. “It needed to be done. But that doesn’t mean it sucked any less. But if you want to remain friends that is okay too. I will always be here for you. Always! And I will probably never stop flirting with you.” She laughed. “Because you’re perfect in my eyes.”

“No, well -- kind of.” Her features dropped. “No one said you were allowed to be logical in this moment. I was just picturing you in a tiny uniform, looking all...” AJ’s voice trailed off in an attempt to stop herself from sounding like a gigantic pervert. “The password was actually ‘AJ’s the greatest,’ but that would have worked as a backup.” A coy smile was offered as she settled down and accepted the glass of wine with a hum. After taking a sip from her glass, the blonde managed to roll on to her back and stretch to place it on the nightstand. Her pants would remain on for the time being, but no one knew what exactly would happen as the night progressed. Pants were a freakin’ nuisance, after all. “Your ego deserves to be stroked.” And that was the truth. Paget Brewster was an absolute babe. Blue eyes took in the other’s form, only causing her previous smile to grow. “We can certainly talk about the elephant, but I am a big fan of your flirting.” Rolling away from the woman’s finger, Andrea let out a hearty chuckle before fingers moved to unbutton her pants. A sigh of relief was released before she rolled the top half of her body on to her stomach, in an attempt to be closer to the other. “I love you.” It was slightly muffled, as her face was now pressed against the bed, but still very well heard.
“Do you not feel the least bit perturbed by the fact Mekhai probably has a crush on a girl scout?” He was certainly at the right age range for it. “There has to be an adult version that wont leave me feeling skeezy after. And the password is move your ass this is my bed.” Laughing, she crawled on her side of the bed and handed over the glass of wine. “I’m not sure who would frown upon it. You’re just in my room.” Paget had seen the woman in much much less. A generous sip of wine was taken from her own glass as brown eyes narrowed. She was unfair? “You are all kinds of stroking my ego tonight.” After sitting her wine glass on the nightstand next to the bottle, she mirrored AJ’s position. “Are we going to ignore the elephant in the room like we did for months before? Because I am pretty good at playing oblivious whilst flirting.” She smirked and wagged her brows before poking the younger woman’s stomach playfully.

“Aw, c’mon.” Her tone mocked that of a little kid who really wanted something from the store. “I think it could be quite the escapade... I’m sure we could figure out something for me to wear, or perhaps we could bot be from the same troop.” She probably shouldn’t have laughed as hard as she did when her thoughts fell to Scouts Canada. Those outfits would do neither women justice. Everything was very blah. A blue eye peeked out from behind lids that had closed the moment she had gotten comfortable and glanced in Paget’s direction. “What’s the password?” Her tone was light as both of AJ’s eyes sprang open and held the other woman’s gaze for about a second. Her resolve sort of crumbled at the mention of changing into something a bit more comfortable. “I suppose just removing my pants and leaving it at that would be frowned upon...” However, she would still be relatively covered with the oversized sweater currently keeping her under wraps. Pulling her arms and legs in, she scooted over to make room for the older woman before rolling on to her side and propping her head up upon her fist. “I’ve forgotten how good you look when you’re lazing about. It’s kind of unfair.” Her lips curled as eyes wandered the other’s body with absolutely no shame.
A hum buzzed lips in reply to the mindless kiss comment. The separation had not been malicious or something either truly wanted, but needed for the blonde to get her life in order. Never did their kisses truly come across as mindless. But walking on set and kissing her in front of everyone without talking about consequences would have been. “You will never find out!” She yelled at the woman as she rose on her toes to grab another wine glass. Lights were flipped off as the older woman made her way back towards her bedroom. Seeing AJ sprawled across her mattress only prompted laughter. “Are you going to let me on there with you or should I leave you alone?” She smirked. “If you want to change into something not jeans feel free to raid my closet.” The empty glass was filled with liquid as the actress stood next to the bed.

Brows rose above azure orbs in slight amusement; leave it to AJ to push obvious buttons. “And you never were a mindless kiss.” That much was very true. Her feelings for Paget had been rooted many moons ago. Kissing the older woman made everything in life fall into place; like everything made sense. It was a feeling very much missed. One that she would like to get back. “Much like a Girl Scout, always prepared.” A smile lit up her face as she stalked after the woman at a safe distance before halting in her tracks. “I bet you’d look super hot in one of those outfits.” Her gaze followed the other before she disappeared from view, allowing the blonde a moment to collect herself before making her way to the bedroom. Climbing atop the mattress, Andrea took a moment to lay back and spread out her limbs like a starfish.
Paget really should have seen that remark coming. With a sigh, the brunette punched in her alarm code in an attempt to stall the inevitable. “As much as I want to punch your mouth with mine, and believe me when I say I do…” A smirked tugged at her mouth. “…you’re not just some mindless kiss. You never will be.” It felt wrong to just kiss the woman without having a discussion first. Traveling down that road with AJ again would be amazing if there wasn’t going to be another giant stop sign after a short while. “I’ll grab a glass for you. There’s already a bottle in my room.” She chuckled almost embarrassed. Feet began to move backwards in the direction of the kitchen as brown eyes held blue. “I’ll be just a moment. I’m sure you can remember where the bedroom is.” Was practically purred before the woman spun around the corner blocking her from view.

“Mm, not enough to actually ‘punch my mouth with your mouth,’ though, huh?” A sheepish grin took over her features as she nodded rather adamantly. “I am all for a glass of something delicious, and don’t worry about food. I ate something earlier.” Mulling over the options, it was blatantly obvious which one AJ was going to go with. If they were laying in bed, well -- there was television to watch! Something she was going to have to continuously remind herself of as she all but stared holes in the other woman. “I think binge watching mindless television sounds a bit more comfortable than sitting elsewhere.” An excuse used the very first day she had kissed Paget. It was all very deja vu and very, very welcome. “Shall I follow you like a puppy or meet you in there?”
A perfectly shaped brow arched and heart fluttered as the blonde began to remove footwear. There was something so incredibly familiar about it. Months had past since they parted ways but the feelings did not fade. “I always miss you.” Things had been spoken of days prior but nothing had actually been discussed face to face. With the hours they were pulling on set there wasn’t time. “Are you thirsty? I’m sure I don’t even have to tell you what’s behind the bar or in the kitchen.” She laughed. “I would offer food but I haven’t been to the grocery store in weeks. I doubt anything is edible.” It was easier to eat on set and grab take out on the way home. Fingers itched to touch the woman but she was no longer hers which posed a problem. “I was actually laying in bed binge watching mindless television. Join me? Or would you prefer to sit elsewhere and do something?” She really wasn’t sure what to expect in this moment which led to nerves unlike any she felt in quite sometime.

A smile beamed across her face the moment Paget came into sight. Dear God, she had been missed. “They’ve never called ‘em on me before.” AJ shrugged. Knocking on the older woman’s door in an absurd manner seemed to be her forté. After shuffling into the home, the blonde stopped just short of the door and jammed the toe of one sneaker against the heel of the other to successfully remove them and repeated. Perhaps she shouldn’t make herself completely at home, but they would have came off eventually. It was best to make it happen now. Turning to face the woman, she significantly perked up as blue eyes raked over her figure. “I’ve missed you -- more than you could possibly imagine -- and I assumed you missed my lovely self, too. So, I came to grace you with my presence.” More so it was she to be graced with the other’s.
Filming Grandfathered had physically worn Paget Brewster out following my Criminal Minds emotionally. It was strange to be back on set with people she loved. Years ago she would have been thrilled but now things were - different. Dressed in a pair of gray leggings and an oversized off the shoulder black cotton shirt, no bra because hello she was home, was the raven haired woman walking towards her door confused. Who the fuck? The second the voice came through she laughed. A few alarms were turned off before three locks on a heavy wood door were undone followed by twisting the lock on the iron bars on the other side. “My neighbors are going to call the cops.” Fat chance. Paget had thrown some pretty crazy parties over the years. Moving out of the way, Paget let AJ in before she went back to locking all the doors. “What are you doing here?” Her tone was surprised but light as her fortress was sealed back up. “I wasn’t expecting company.” Which was painfully obvious with the lack of make up and glasses perched upon her face.

It had been quite some time since some much needed time with the older woman was able to happen, so with Mekhai off with his father, Andrea made sure she didn’t look like a complete trainwreck before heading over to Paget’s home, donning a smile and a simple pair of skinny jeans matched with a sweater. She wasn’t entirely sure what would be on the night’s agenda, but things needed to be -- rectified, for lack of better words. Knuckles lightly wrapped against the door. Her want to be with the other had never ceased, and with the recent time working together again, things just swirled within her. A smile beamed across her face as she tapped the door with the toe of her sneaker. “PUNKY, OPEN UP!”
