TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY, NEVER LOSE HOPE

Do we have still hope in this era where many people and countries are not undertanding each other? How can we have hope if we people are not united? Where judgement, criticism and discrimination are very rampant now a days. What can we do to help humanity?What is the importance of humanity and being united? Is hope,love and respect to each other is the solution? There was a quote saying that “As long as there is breath, there is hope.” It means that we should not give up in life, as long as we have life, there will always be hope. It has been proven that struggling and having hope in life have overcome obstacles that comes along in our life.

How important hope in our life?

A person who have hope means that they want an outcome that makes their life better. There are many obstacles in life, but there is hope that allows us to approach problems with a positive mindset and a strategy skill that will lead us to success.

How important is hope for humanity?

Here on earth we have our own hardships, challenges and problems and hope is like an armor or a gun when we are in a war. How can you survive without it? That is why it is very important because it help us to survive in this world. Do we have times in our life where we doubt ourselves that we might not solve a problem and not going to succeed? But there is only one thing that we think and that is hope. Hope is in our heart and brain, inshort it is inside of us, If we have hope, it helps us to be motivated and to keep on fighting. All of us are hoping for a thing to have, an event that we want to happen in the future, hoping to solve a problem or judt hoping for something. Hope is an attitude of mind based on our desires. Hope can just be four letters but it can mean so much to other people. It has a big impact to one person and to the humanity as a whole.

What is humanity?

Humanity means respecting, caring, loving and helping other people whenever or wherever. Humanity means helping others at times when they really need help. Humanity means we should forget and remove our attitude of being selfish interests at times when other people needs our help. Humanity means extending our love and respect to other people and every living things here on earth. How important does humanity in our life? Humanity is an important part of life because it tells us to help others who needs our help, trying to understand others opinions, ideas and view of points, for us to be able to relate to them and realizing other peoples problems and challenges with our own eyes and try to help them. Showing humanity to others does not need to be a rich person, even a poor person or a normal person can show humanity by helping someone or sharing his/ her blessings to others. There was a video that I have watched in the youtube, that video was all about a street person, she is very old and she really is poor. She have nothing, there was a time where she buys three breads, as she walks the street with her plastic bag and inside it was her things. She saw two children who is also like her, she give the two breads, and that means that only one left for her. And as she walks again, she saw an old man who looks starving for food, and then she gave the last bread to that old man. In that video I have learned that being a poor is not the hindrance to show humanity to others. The old lady despite her situation, she never forgets to help others who also needs her help. If someone show humanity to you never forgets to say Thankyou or even smile to that person. Show gratitude to anyone who demonstrates humanity to you

There was a quote by Lucy Brazier, saying that “ People are important, they make the world what it is, they have made me who I’am, never forget the importance of humanity; without it we are nothing.” In this quote I have realized that all people are important, we should think for a bigger picture not just for a specific place but the humanity as a whole. Other people will have an impact to what you will be since what they do can affect you both in a good and bad way. Because of us, the world is like this, the things that we do, can affect the world. Like the pandemic today because of the irresponsible things that other do, the world is suffering right now. If we do bad, the world will be affected and bad things may occur. If we do good, then it will affects the world but in a positive way. What we do in this world, makes the world what it is. It means that if we have wars, people are fighting and countries are not united then the image of the world will be bad.

What makes us lose hope?

We are in this era where corruption, problems and not being united is rampant. For example here in our country, the Philippines, where corruption is everywhere and not being united by the government and the people are some of the obstacles that we faced right now. In our reality where inequality, poverty, corruption and other issues are one of the problems that we Filipinos have been experiencing for a long time. Political corruption is the use of power by government officials for illegitimate private gain. An illegal act by an officeholder constitutes political corruption only if the act is directly related to their official duties, is done under color of law or involves trading in influence. What causes government corruption? These are some of the things that causes government corruption which are greed of money, desires. Higher levels of market and political monopolization. Low levels of democracy, weak civil participation and low political transparency.Corruption hurts everyone. Corruption erodes the trust we have in the public sector to act in our best interests. It also wastes our taxes or rates that have been earmarked for important community projects meaning we have to put up with poor quality services or infrastructure, or we miss out altogether.

Because of this some people are losing hope bacause they realized that this will not end, the poor becomes poorer and the rich becomes richer become of the inequality services the government has. The job of the government is to do what is right for our country and for its people. I think that they lack of humanity, because having humanity in mind can help you to motivate others who needs your help and having a vision where you are invisioning the future of our country. The government officials has the responsibility to lead us and the country. They are the one who promised to do their best to help make our country rich and give us a good service. But what happen to them? We losses hope because of them. Because of their irresponsible behaviors some people are suffering fron poverty. Some people do not have foods and house. What they want is to have a better life. But the government helps them to become poor. The situation of the people reflects to what kind of government we have. I’am not telling that our government is bad, but we cannot hide the fact that some of them lacks of humanity and very irresponsible to their job as an government official. We should help together and there should no one left behind. We voters should learned from our mistakes. We should vote those people who really wants to serve us and the country and has a good purpose that is why they run to the election. We should not vote those people who are opposite from this characteristics, because at the end of the day we are the one who will suffer.

How we lose hope?

Lacking hope from the start - If since birth , or when you were a child and never nourished by their family. And their parents lacks love and time to them. And you as a child wants an attention to them, there is a possibility that you may equip and developed the hopeful thinking. You may lose confidence and start to doubt yourself, and time will come you will struggle to achieve your goals.

Loss of love ones or loss of connections to someone - When you experience loss we can start to feel hopeless in life. This loss can come from divorce, death, break ups or change. It can also be a loss of job or other important aspects and things, from these losses, hopelessness can set in.

Victim - When we are being abused and belittled by someone, then we can start to believe that is how life is supposed to be. We can have this feeling where you feel like you don’t have any contril over what happens to us and that bad things occurs. This can be the effect of those people who experienced discrimination, judgement, trauma and racism. This examples are very rampant in this days. Thats why many people losses hope because it is not easy to experienced this kind of health and mental problems. But they should not lose hope, because this is part of our life, never let the problems takes over you. Life is tough sometimes and all we can do is to try to move forward. The point is to not lose hope in life. Experiences hep us to grow and makes you a better person. What we are experiencing right now, it can be challenges or problems, we must always think that this problems are not permanent situations. We should put this on mind that when things do not go on our way, we should remember to never lose hope. We should look forward ti what lies ahead and to what is left behind. Make your past as a moivation to be a better person in the present and in the future.

Ways to not lose hope

Find support - In life, we all need someone to support us to achieved our goals. When things go wrong in life, one thing is for sure we need other person to give us some advice and supports us. Other people can encourage us to stand up again, leave the past, learn from it and move on.

Be grateful - In life people come and go, you might lose someone you loved, but there are also many things you have to be grateful for. Pratice gratitude regardless of your current circumstances. This will help you gain hope again and start being thankful in life.

Look forward - There is a quote saying that “When all is lost, the future still remains.” So when you are in a situation where you feel like you have lost everything in life and you think that there is nothing to look forward to. We should always remember that there will always be tomorrow, and it will be a new day. A new day where you can stand up again and look forward to something better. Today can be a hard or a sad day but tomorrow might bring happiness and there are many things to live for. We should have hope for the future.

Remember your past and consider it as a lesson - Time is the greatest healers. It takes time to heal, just like bad days past, good times would past too. You can always look at your past life to see how you changes and managed to deal with a lot of obstacles that came in your life in the past. Life teaches us many lessons the hard way, when we win a problem, we find out later hat it has tought us a lot of lessons in life. This lessons makes us a better person and it makes us stronger and more capable to face the obstacles but also in achieving our dreams in life.

It is natural that life is changing, if there is one thing in this world that is constant, then this is it. While we are experiencing hardships and it makes us feel hopeless. Hope is that one thing that will guide us through this process. We should accept that in life we can experience tough times and it will not just happens to you or to me, but everyone of us will go through hard times, you are not alone in this journey. We should always put this on mind that nothing in life is permanent, we are always growing as a person, we are learning everyday and changing as well. But hope helps us to support throughout our lifetime.

“SOUTH KOREA” the country I want to visit someday

South Korea is one of the many countries I want to visit in the future. I fall in love with its culture,food and the country itself. I really want to experience the weather in South Korea.South Korea has four distinct seasons which are the spring,it begins on March and end on May. Summer,will start on June and ends on August. Fall will start on September and ends on November. And lastly the season which I think is the best since I really wanted to experience it winter, it will start on December until February.The changing of seasons also means changing of attires. I really think that this is very interesting since I really look up how high quality Korean fashion is. Based on the videos that I have watched in youtube. Koreans really has a good taste in fashion styles even they are in streets, parks or just going outside to go somewhere, they really are serious on what they wear. Korean Fashion was influenced by big brands and runway styles but the best feature of Korean Fashion is that it adopted to suit the streets. I heard that the clothes in South Korea are very cheap,I think that is the reason why they are really fashionable people.

South Korea is greatly influenced by the Chinese and Japanese cultures. That is why I think their cultures are almost the same. This influence can be seen by Confucianism, which established many traditions that can be seen and equip in modern Korea today. These traditions include the ethical code of conduct in social life and showing respect to the elders and family. Based on my knowledge about their traditions is that Koreans shake hands and bow at the same time. The bow is the traditional greeting although it is more develop and used by a handshaking among men. When you are shaking hands with an older person, you should use two hands. To show respect when shaking hands, support your right forearm with your left hand. Confucianism tradition also demands that elderly be treated at all times with respect. While the South Korean women usually nod slightly and they said that they will not shake hands with western men. This informations I have learned from watching videos in youtube about South Korean cultures, by watching kdramas and lastly based on the articles that I have read.

In one article that I have read, its stated that using one hand especially if it is your right hand is considered to be rude, so we should try and get in a habit of always using both hands to give or receive a thing. Is hugging a big deal in Korea? Well to answer that question hugs are just so nice and instinctual, but Koreans do not seem to agree. They do not go around hugging people after meeting them only once. Some articles said that in Korea, hugging is reserved for family, close friends and significant other. I do not see any problem about this at all, since it looks weird if you hug a person you just meet. Here in our country hugs are very used and common everywhere you see people are hugging when they see each other. But in Korea, I think that they are not used to it based on the dramas and videos they do not really hug each other.

This traditions seems very new to us but what we should do is to understand that culture and traditions of them since we all know that culture and traditions shapes our identity and influences our behaviors and cultural diversity makes us accept and even to extent, integrate and assimilate with other cultures. As a traveller,or a person like me who dreams to go to Korea, we should know their traditions because we have the responsibility to adjust to their culture since we are just a tourists ti their country. It is better to know this before we go their so for us to not be ignorant and if the time will come that we are already there, at least we already have a background knowledge about their culture and traditions.

What I also love about South Korea is their foods. Based on the picture and videos that I have seen in social medias, it really looks very yummy like it makes you want to eat or buy that food. In South Korea, there are a lot of foods you just have to pick or choose anything you want to eat. The texture of their foods ae very unique to me, because it has various of colors and it really attracts me. I really wanted to try all of their foods, hopefully one day I can be able to go there and eat all those foods. The best foods that we must try in South Korea are Kimchi, this dish gas been around for more than 2,000 years and it consist of Korean cabbage, radish, pumpkin, onions, ginger, scallion with chili powder, crushed garlic, and salted seafood, which is then left to ferment. This is actually a spicy dish, Koreans really loved to eat spicy foods that is why Kimchi is very common to them. Most videos of Korean vlogs, dramas and other videos like mukbang, they really have this everytime they eat, I think that this dish is like an appetizer for them. Second is Bibimbap, this is a filling and a nutritious dish that can be served as a meat based or vegetarian dish. Third is Red rice cakes also known as tteokbokki, this is a traditional Korean street food that is made with slices of boiled rice cake, fish cake, onions, diced garlic, salt, sugar and assorted vegetables that are stir fried in sweet red chilli sauce. This food is very popular and usually sold at street vendors and snack bars. Fourth is Jajangmyeon, this dish is made of thick handmade wheat noodles topped with raw cucumber slices and a mixture of salty back soybean paste, diced pork and vegetables. This dish is very cheap and If I need a quick meal if I’m in Korea, this surely my first pick since this dish does not break my wallet. This four dishes are one of the best foods that we must try if we travel to South Korea, actually there are lots of foods that we can try in South Korea but we should pick those foods that suits your taste. You will not be worried on where we can tr this foods since there are lots of restaurants and street food vendors that can be seen in South Korea.

The famous tourist attraction in South Korea that I dreamed to visit if I travel their, first is Namsan Seoul Tower, this is Seoul’s landmark attraction located at top of Namsan Mountain in the center of the city. This is famous tourist attraction because of its nightscape view of the city. If I travel to South Korea this will be the first place I wanted to visit, since it showcase the beauty of the city and the buildings. I have seen a lot of vloggers going in this place and also it was been featured in dramas that I have watched like “My Love From The Star” and “ Legend Of The Blue Sea”. Second is Myeong-dong, this place is filled with unique street foods and plenty of things to see. This is a district of fashion and shopping, many Koreans and international tourists go to this place. The streers are lined with department stores, free stores and various brand shops. If your thing is shopping like me then this is one of the best place to go, we can still enjoy Myeong-Dong by trying the street foods and many famous restaurants in this area. To all the women who loves make ups, beauty products and for those people who likes to buy skin care products then this place is also for you, since there are also lots of shops here at Myeong-Dong where you can buy your needs. I have seen a lot of videos of vloggers, they said that Myeong-Dong is a highly recommended place to visit.

Third is Han River, if I visit Seoul, they said that it is hard to miss the Han River, since it flows through the city itself and runs alongside are some of the best attractions in Seoul. Han River Park, is located on the bank of Han River, and it actually contains twelve different parks. In this park you can picnic with your family, friends or someone. If I go here I wanted to try biking since bicycle is also the best way to enjoy river views, native trees and gardens. There was a Korean Youtube channel, they are couples and their contents are pranking the people there in Han River Park. As I watched their videos there are really lots of people going their most commonly are couples and group of friends. And I really fell in love in that place, if you need fresh air and have a river view then this is one of the best place to go. Fourth is Jeju Island, it is one of the beautiful places in South Korea and one of the most famous Island there. Based on the videos that I have watched about Jeju Island, it really take my breath away and it really amazed me. White sand beaches, surrounded by pine forests, beautiful botanical gardens and a rich culture, this are the some of the high points of this paradise. There is a video of a Filipina youtuber/actress named Kristel Fulgar, she has a vlog where she went to Jeju Island, while watching her vlog, it really makes me wanted to visit there someday.

South Korea was hailed as one of the advanced and high technology country in the world and ranked first as the fastest internet connection in the world. That is why I want to go here since I want to experience a fast internet connection and I heard that there are free internet in eveywhere you go, like in the subway,bus,park and many more. All of the videos that I watched about South Korea speaks a lot, their subway stations are one of the best in the world but what makes you hard is that you can’t understand the signs since most of it are written in korean. But we should not be worried about that since Koreans are kind you can just ask any of them but do not forget to say Annyeonghaseyo it means hello and bow to that person to show some respect especially if its is older than you. Their language is one of the hardest languange to study and learn since there are many words that have the same pronuoncation but has different spelling, I actually started learning Korean language it is really hard but it is fun to learn new things. Their hand written are very unique it is actually almost the same to Chinese and Japanese but it also not that same. Because of watching kdramas and watching videos about them it makes me really wanted to visit there.I want to strive hard and study hard so that someday I will have a good job and I want to travel not just in Korea but also all around the world. While writing this, it really motivates me to study smart and finish study since I know to myself that we can’t travel if we have no money or no job. Hopefully someday I can travel to another countries and make good memories.

THE PHENOM OF THE PHILIPPINE MEN’S VOLLEYBALL “Marck Espejo”

Who is Marck Espejo?

Marck Espejo was born in Manila on March 1,1997, he is 23 years old.His parents are Joseph Espejo and Maria Jesus.He also has a younger sister named Angel.Marck Espejo and his family resides in Marikina,where he was first introduced to the sport of volleyball by his cousin named Kenneth.At the age of 11, he made it onto his first varsity team at Concepcion Elementary School in Marikina.

One of Marck Espejo best achievement as a player was winning a championship and being awarded as the Best Attacker in the 2012 Palarong Pambansa held in Pangasinan.Because of his versatility and the way he play, several college coaches began recruiting him, including the coaches of the big universities of La Salle, Ateneo and many more.Eventually,Marck Espejo followed Coach Almadro, who is the coach of the mens volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University.Coach Almadro was the first coach who took notice of him, to the Blue Eagles in Katipunan Avenue. “Ever since,my dream school was really Ateneo,but there was no bridge or help to get me through” said by Espejo on one of his media interview.He is taking up Interdisciplinary Studies in Ateneo.

With Espejo playing, Ateneo suddenly was one of the team to beat in the UAAP Season 76 Men’s Volleyball.This is his first ever season playing in the UAAP as a rookie at the age of 16.In his first ten matches, he averages 21.1 points per game and ranked 2nd with 211 points in the list of the league’s Best Scorer. He ranked 4th in spiking, 9th in blocking, 2nd in serving, 9th in digging and 6th in receiving. At the age of 16 and a rookie player, it is awesome to see things like what he can do on the court. It is very rare to see a rookie who plays like a señior and a veteran. The way he jump,and approaches the ball and varies of his attacks speaks a lot on how intelligience he is in playing volleyball. They finished the Season 76 with a silver medal and he was awarded as the “Rookie of the Year” and “Most Valueable Player of the Season”.

As the years goes by,he received a lot of awards in different tournaments.He was hailed 5 time UAAP Most Valueable Player in Seasons 76,77,78,79 and 80. He was also part of the Philippine National Team and played as an import in Japan and Thailand. He brings pride for our country and he showcase what a filipino athlete can bring in the international arenas. Because of his versatility and smart playing, he became The Phenom of the Philippine Men’s Volleyball.

“Me and my best friend walks in the street,then suddenly ask me about a thing.And then my best friend ask me if I can explain about that thing.That is why I explained it to my best friend,it took me minutes to explain that,after I explained to my best friend he reply “What? I do not understand,why does that thing become a problem?”.And then I give him another example so that my best friend can understand what I have explained.After I finish explaining for the second time,my best friend said that he still did not get what I have explained,that is why I said to him “Ay Ambot nimo choy uy” and my best friend replied “Ay ambot sad nimo,wala jud ko kasabot”.After we walk,we finally at our destination which is at mcdonalds.Then we pick what to order”Unsa imo” I said “kung unsa imo mao akoa” Then I replied “Ay ambot jud nimo uy”

“Ay Ambot” term is commonly used by Cebuano and Bisaya people.The term “Ay Ambot” means that a person has no idea.The exact meaning depends on just how emphatic and irate the person saying the Cebuano expression is at the time he or she says it. Basically, it means the person saying it is confused, exasperated, and has lost patience with the person being spoken to.The english term of Ay Ambot is “Oh I do not know”.Some of the translations of the term “ay ambot” include “I have no idea,” “I don’t care anymore,” “it does not matter,” “I’m tired of that already.”"I don't understand you" "I can't figure you out" "I don't care" "Do what you like" "Whatever!" "No way!" "I hate you!".This term can be used anywhere,everywhere you are and anytime.You can use this to your friends,family or to anyone whom you are talking to.Some people used “Ay Ambot” with respect,especially if you are talking to adults,or to someone you don’t know personally.An example situation for this is,the teacher ask Bruno where are his classmates and then Bruno answered this to her teacher “Ay Ambot lage ma’am,wala ko kabalo asa sila”.He answered his teacher with a calm voice to have respect to his teacher.Another example is that,Your mother ask you where is the comb.If you don’t know where is the comb,you can simply reply her “Ay ambot lage ma wala ko kabalo asa to nabutang”.Those two situations are example of saying “Ay Ambot” with respect

.The term “Ay Ambot” can also be sensitive words for those people who do not usually used this or that person really do not know this word.This term is maybe an informal expression to them,like for example the higher rank people,or let just say the rich people with a good job.We should not use this term,since we do not know if they understand or maybe it is an insult word for them.That is why we should know if that person used or know this word.For safer way we should use this word for those people who you really know personally.It is better to not used this word to someone we really do not know to avoid conflict.I’m not saying that this word is bad since I grew up using this word everyday,but since we should not just think for ourselves and we are talking to other people we do not know or to someone who is an adult then it is much better for us to use the formal expressions.“Ay Ambot” can be used to a lot of situations for Cebuano and Bisaya people.Since we are Bisaya we are used to hear and used this word since we grew up hearing this word.This word can be used if someone ask you and you do not know the answer to that question.Another example situation is that if you are explaining a thing to someone whom you are talking to and the that person eventually answered you “What?Can you repeat what you say?” and then you feel annoyed since you are explaining it very heartedly and that person just replied to you like that and then you can just simply say “Ay Ambot nimo uy”.Another situation for this is that if someone are arguing outside you classroom,and then one of your classmates walk towards you and ask you “what happened?why are they arguing and fighting?” you can simply reply “Ay ambot lage ana nila uy”. In the example situations,we can see that “Ay Ambot” word can be used anytime,it depends on the situation you are in. “Ay Ambot” term can also be rude,it depends on how you say it.The rising and falling of your voice if you say this word help the person you are talking to,to know what is your feeling or emotion you have saying that word.If you say this word with a high or rising voice like it is almost shouting then the person whom you are talking to will surely be confused, somehow that person will know if you are angry or not.To enlighten you, I will give some situations.If you are with a person,it maybe your friend or a family member of yours,and then somehow you talk and discussed a thing, after you talk that person suddenly say “Can you repeat the first thing you say earlier?I did not hear man jud naay nilabay nga truck”.And then you repeat it again,that person asked you again to repeat it again.And maybe that person really can’t understand,or maybe confused of what you have said then because that person is close to you,You the kind person explain that thing again.After explain ,the face of that person seems still confused.And ask you again to repeat what you have explaining.And then you feel annoyed to that person because it keeps on asking you to repeat and because you are tired explaining,and you just said “Ay Ambot jud nimo uy,kaganiha rako sige ug balik balik ha” with a high voice,it is almost you shout to that person.And then that person will know that you are annoyed already.

If you say “ay ambot” with a calm voice it simply means that you really do not have an idea to what the person you are talking to ask to you.To further explain this situation I will give another example and it goes like this.If you are in your room and beside you is your closest friend and that person say a joke and you both laughed.And you can say “Ay Ambot jud nimo uy”while you are laughing,this means that you are really entertained to the joke of your friend.Another example situation of using “Ay Ambot” with a calm voice is that one of your sibling ask you about the current situation we are facing right now which is the pandemic,and then you said to your siblings that “Ay Ambot na jud ani nga panahon ba lisud na kaayo mag gawas-gawas” by saying this word in this kind of situation means that you really have no idea on when this pandemic will end.Anothet example for this is that if one of your friend ask you about the break of Liliy and Ben,she said that”ngano kaha nagbulag na sila ba nga strong man na ilang relationship uy”.And then you replied “Lage ba bakak ra kaayo nga nagbulag sila bay nga ga labing labing paman gali na sila last week tapos karun nagbulag na”.And then your friend said “ngano kaha nagbulag na sila ba”.And then you replied “Ay ambot sad lage ana nila uy ilaha manang kinabuhi”.I believed that this word is most commonly used if we are with our friends,or in our house.Since we already know them personally then we can used infornal expressions where you and the one whom you are talking to can actually know the meaning of that word because you are used to talk like that.

There are many ways to say this word and there are many situation where you can simply use this word.But you should be aware to whom you are talking to and to whom you gonna use this word.Since I already explain to you that if we will gonna use this word,we should first know the person whom we are talking to while using this word.Always think before you speak,it is important to know this skills for us to master for all kinds of situations.By using this skill we can be able to improve our relationship with other people and for us to be able to express ourself in amore effective,formal and safer way.Before saying a word,we should not forget that we should always think first,for us to know if the word that we say is true,can be able to help them,an inspiring word,it can be necessary or kind.Thinking before you speak is a good habit that we should develop and equip ourself,for us to avoid causing trouble in life whether in your relationship,career or anywhere.There is a quote by Ali Ibn Abi Talib A.S saying that “Take care of your tongue like the way you take care of Gold and Silver”.You should pick to whom you will used “Ay Ambot”.

But I was excited to go to a new place and meet new friends.

Swimming in the sea everyday,the days I have missed.

The best summer vacation so far,

Once upon a time, there was a girl named kathryn, she is 17 years old, a senior high school student at Ateneo de Manila University. She is very famous in there campus, because of her angelic face, nice attitude and she has white skin. In short she is very an ideal type of girl. She is also one of the top students in there school, because of her high grades and extra curricular activities. She had a boy bestfriend named Daniel. He is tall, moreno and handsome. He is one of the famous boys in there campus. He is a varsity player in volleyball. He is very caring and humble person, he is very kind person and most importantly he is gentleman. In short he is an ideal type of boy. He is sometimes badboy. Because of her attitude and physical appearance, many girls in there campus has a crush on him. Daniel and kathryn are bestfriends since they were grade schools. Because they were neighbors,since then daniel and kathryn are classmates since grade school to senior high school. But secretly kathryn likes daniel. It’s starts when they were first year high school. Kathryn slowly liking daniel because they always see each other everyday. Because of the attitude of Daniel, kathryn admires him alot. When kathryn is sad, daniel is always right beside her to cheer her up. He is always right there for her to take care of her. But she didn’t want daniel to know that she likes him. Because shes scared on what things might gonna happen next or in the future, or what consequences will she faced if she will confessed her feelings towards daniel. That’s why she keep that secret.But her cousin Julia and her parents know about it. In her room,under her bed,there was a small box. Inside was her diary, letters about daniel and all of there pictures together are there. Eveytime she opened that box and write a letter about Daniel makes her blushed. (One afternoon on the hallway of their campus) While kathryn was walking with her friends. Daniel run fast towards them. And screams kathryn’s name, so that kathryn will notice him. Samantha is there schoolmate since high school. She looks sweet girl but she has a bad attitude but everytime daniel is arround she just turned to pabebe. Many girls doesn’t like her because of her bad attitude. She is the cheercaptain of the cheerdance of there campus. So it means Daniel and samantha merely see each other everytime they have a practice on the covered court. (After 3 years) Many things had changed on there lives. Daniel and kathryn didn’t see much because they were busy on there study. They are now 2nd year college. Kathryn took up secondary education manor in english, while daniel took up a engineering. After a year of courting, samantha and daniel are now together. Because of being a charming and gentlemen of daniel, samantha fell in love to him. Kathryn helps daniel to court samantha , she is the one making the gifts, brainstorming the ideas on how will daniel courts samantha. Daniel doesn’t know that kathryn is hurt, she is in pain she cried every night, but still then he helped daniel court samantha. Until samantha said yes to daniel. The ideas that kathryn planned are the things the she hope daniel will do it to her. Everytime kathryn see daniel and samantha in the campus shes in pain but she just thinks that she should be happy because daniel is happy as a bestfriend. If daniel is happy then kathryn should be happy for him too. One day,Kathryn clean her room, because her cousin julia will come back home from USA. Kathryn and Julia are very closed cousins, since they were kids until now. Kathryn shared all her secrets, problems in life and also Julia knows all about Daniel. Julia is 1 year younger than her. It’s exactly 11:00 am that day. After kathryn cleaned her room, she decided to take a bath. She didn’t know that daniel will come to there house. When daniel is already outside there house, he rings the door bell, then Kathryn’s mom is the one who opened the gate becaue there maid’s is at a vacation. Daniel: Hi tita Goodmorning (with a big smile) he hugs kathryns mom Mom: Oh Dj Hello goodmorning also,you’re so gwapo and tall ha. Mom: Long time no see Dj. How are you now? Daniel: Well tita, Im still cute and handsome(laughs) just kidding tita, Im fine tita thankyou for asking. Daniel: Is kathryn inside tita? Mom: Yes, I think shes in her room Daniel: Can I go to her tita? i just need to see her, because we didn’t see and talk each other that much in school. He can visit kathryn anytime he wants. But his problem now is to find kathryn in the university. Daniel and kathryn are bestfriends since they were grade schools. Because they were neighbors,since then daniel and kathryn are classmates since grade school to senior high school. (One afternoon on the hallway of their campus) While kathryn was walking with her friends. Daniel run fast towards them. And screams kathryn’s name, so that kathryn will notice him. Daniel: kaaaaaatthhhh! (He screamed) Kathryn: (she knows very well whos that voice is) (She turned around and saw daniel running and shouting towards her) Kathryn: Myghaaddd Dj why are you shouting?you seemed see a ghost?what’s the problem? Daniel: (sighs) well I have something to tell you (he smiled) Kathryn: Ohh I know that face sign is ookkkk. (Daniel holds her hand and run) Kathryn: Djjjjjj (scream) my hand it hurts (At the parking lot, in front of Daniel’s car) Kathryn: ok? So what are you gonna tell?hmmmm ( she stare to daniel) Daniel: hmmm. promise me you won’t shout or scream or don’t be surprise Kathryn: ok promise (smile) Daniel: I like someone and I want to court her. Kathryn: (laughs) omg I didn’t even knew that you know how to court a girl (Inside her, she expected that she is the one who will court by daniel but it turned out this) Kathryn: soo? Who’s that girl( inside her: I hope its me,that girl mayne the luckiest person in the world) Daniel: I like her for so long. I’m sorry kath cauz I didn’t tell you early about this. I like samantha Kathryn: (shocked) ohh yahh samantha (fake smile) Daniel holds kathryn’s hand and say “ kath! Im really hoping that you will help me to court her, if its ok to you my best friend?” Kathryn: if its for you and if your happy with it why not?im your bestfriend now and forever...even if there’s no forever( laughs) Daniel: there is forever for us right my bestfriend? Kathryn: ofcourse dj, just call my name and Im always right beside you ( smile and hugs Daniel) After that conversation they both went home and still kathryn cant move on, she still remembers the things daniel told her. Kathryn: why not me?(she cry)she get her diary from her box and she wrote all the things happened on that day. Afterwards she feel asleep because shes tired and sad. Samantha is there schoolmate since high school. She looks sweet girl but she has a bad attitude but everytime daniel is arround she just turned to pabebe. Many girls doesn’t like her because of her bad attitude. She is the cheercaptain of the cheerdance of there campus. So it means Daniel and samantha merely see each other everytime they have a practice on the covered court. (After 3 years) Many things had changed on there lives. Daniel and kathryn didn’t see much because they were busy on there study. They are now 2nd year college. Kathryn took up secondary education manor in english, while daniel took up a engineering. After a year of courting, samantha and daniel are now together. Because of being a charming and gentlemen of daniel, samantha fell in love to him. Kathryn helps daniel to court samantha , she is the one making the gifts, brainstorming the ideas on how will daniel courts samantha. Daniel doesn’t know that kathryn is hurt, she is in pain she cried every night, but still then he helped daniel court samantha. Until samantha said yes to daniel. The ideas that kathryn planned are the things the she hope daniel will do it to her. Everytime kathryn see daniel and samantha in the campus shes in pain but she just thinks that she should be happy because daniel is happy as a bestfriend. If daniel is happy then kathryn should be happy for him too. One day,Kathryn clean her room, because her cousin julia will come back home from USA. Kathryn and Julia are very closed cousins, since they were kids until now. Kathryn shared all her secrets, problems in life and also Julia knows all about Daniel. Julia is 1 year younger than her. It’s exactly 11:00 am that day. After kathryn cleaned her room, she decided to take a bath. She didn’t know that daniel will come to there house. When daniel is already outside there house, he rings the door bell, then Kathryn’s mom is the one who opened the gate becaue there maid’s is at a vacation. Daniel: Hi tita Goodmorning (with a big smile) he hugs kathryns mom Mom: Oh Dj Hello goodmorning also,you’re so gwapo and tall ha. Mom: Long time no see Dj. How are you now? Daniel: Well tita, Im still cute and handsome(laughs) just kidding tita, Im fine tita thankyou for asking. Daniel: Is kathryn inside tita? Mom: Yes, I think shes in her room Daniel: Can I go to her tita? i just need to see her, because we didn’t see and talk each other that much in school. Mom: Oh really?just go inside, I will just lock the gate, then I will cook for our lunch. Daniel: Ok tita Thanks! Daniel went to Kathryns room, when his already inside. Daniel: Kath?Kath? Are you there? (Inside the restroom) When kathryn is taking a bath, she heared a voice, kathryn knows whos that voice is. Kathryn: Dj? Is that you? Daniel: Yep yep, I’ll just wait here kath ok? Kathryn was surprised because Daniel went to their house to see her. It’s been a long time since Daniel go to kathryns house. While Daniel is waiting, he sit down to kathryns bed, while he looks around the room. He noticed a small box at the table. Because its very colorful and small he get it without even knows that all things inside the box is all about him. Kathryn is still at the restroom while daniel opened the box. When he gets the first letter he reads it. After be reads that, he then reads all the letter. Daniel: whattttt? (Confused) kathryn likes me?( whispered to him self) He then saw all the pictures of them with a description at the back.He is confused.Daniel asked him self Daniel: But why? Why didn’t she tell me? When kathryn already finished taking a bath.She went outside the restroom. She is shocked when she saw daniel was on the floor with the box. Kathryn: Dj? Why you opened that? She want to get the box but daniel stay away from her Daniel: what is this stupid things kath? Kathryn cant talk she is speechless, because her fear is that daniel will know her secret and now it is happening. Kathryn: Its just nothing Dj Daniel: nottthiinggg?!! I just reed all of it Kathryn: So what now Dj?are you happy? Daniel: Happy?for what?that you keep a secret? Kathryn: Why you cant just say it?sayy Itttt djj Daniel: what? That you like me?you like me?!! Kathryn: Yes Dj I like you, Im sorry that I fell in love with you, You don’t deserve me, Im stupid ,Im a stupid bestfriend (she cried) Daniel holds her hand and says Daniel: Kathh plss no don’t cry( he wipes her tears)you are oe of the greatest blessing and gift that God gave me, Im just scocked on what I saw, but Im sorry kath, I Love you as my bestfriend. After 4 weeks, Daniel and kathryn didn’t see each other since the day Daniel went to Kathryn house. At the hallway Daniel and Samantha are walking then suddenly Daniel saw Kathryn at the bench. Daniel: babe, I just need to get something at the library, you just go first to the library ok?I’ll just follow you at the court ok? Guy: Im sorry Kathryn: Im so sorry (they look at each other) Guy: be careful next time miss (then he smiled) Kathryn: yeah I will thanks ( smile) And she walk fast The guys wants to get the name of kathryn but smhe didn’t ask because kathryn walk so fast, he thinks kathryn is in a hurry. After 2 months Kathryn went to daniel house she calls daniel through phone Kathryn: Hello Dj, we need to talk Daniel: Hi kath, right now? Kathryn: Yes right now Daniel: Ok wait I will just change my clothes Kathryn: You dont have to Daniel: Why? Let me ask you where are you now? Kathryn: Im already outside in your house dj Daniel opened the curtains and saw kathryn. He fastly go down stairs and went outside. when daniel is already outside kathryn suddenly hugs him tight. Kathryn: I Love you so much dj(she cried) Do you love me too? Daniel noticed that kathryns was kinds drunk, he smelled kathryn Daniel: wait kath?, did you drink? He gets kath to his chest and hold her shoulders. Kathryn: No dj I didn’t drink(laughs) Then again kathryn hugs him tight Kathryn: Dj I love you so much please love me too Daniel: Are you crazy kath, Have a girlfriend Kathryn: Please break up to her for please Daniel: You are just drunk kath thats why you said that Kathryn kissed daniel, but daniel pushed away kath Daniel: Are you crazy kath?!! Kathryn: please love me dj Daniel: I told you last time, I love you as my bestfriend nothing more nothing less After that Daniel drive hone kathryn. Actually it’s kathryn first time to drink and be drunk.She is with someone. After 3 days kathryn apologizes to Daniel. Daniel forgive her,they become still bestfriend. Everything was doing well and ok now. Daniel and Samantha are getting stronger. While kathryn is till on the process of moving on and accepting the fact that she and daniel are only bestfriend. She is now focusing on her studies and to herself. (After 3 years) They graduated. Kathryn became a teacher in a university while daniel became an engineer in a private company. Last 3 years when they were at there 2nd year college. Kathryn and her parents decided to buy a new house and it simply means that kathryn will transfer from another. After they transfer from there new house. Kathryn and Daniel didn’t see each other, they have no phone calls at all because she threw away her sim card so daniel will no longer call her, she ended there communication.She had no hard feelings towards Daniel but She think it is better if they have no communication, she wants to move on to all those things happened in her life, and she wants to move on to daniel too. One day, Daniel was assigned near where kathryn was working. Daniel was new to that place because it is way too there house.The workplace of daniel was a bit near to where kathryn is working. Its lunch time, Daniel with his workmates decided to buy there lunch at the university near there workplace, it is where kathryn is working.Some of Daniels workmates told him that they always eat and but there lunch at the university since it is yummy and affordable.While entering the gate, They walk at the hallway, Daniel look around, when he suddenly saw a tarpaulin with the pictures of the new comers teachers.When he is looking the tarpaulin he suddenly noticed a girl, Daniel: is that kath?(he whispered) When she saw the picture of kathryn he seems very happy and excited to see her since their workplace and the university is very near. He can visit kathryn anytime he wants. But his problem now is to find kathryn in the university. After they buy there lunch they decided to go back to their office to eat their lunch while going out Daniel told himself Daniel: I hope we see each other again kath (smile) I will find a way to find you (After 1 week) He decided to visit the university since he has now the confidence to face kathryn again. He ask some of the students in the campus. Daniel: Hi goodmorning! Do you know Ms.Kathryn? Student 1: Oh hi sir Goodmorning also. Wait who?Ms.kathryn?(student1 look at student 2) Students2: Oh Ms. Kathryn Bernardo the new teacher of the campus. Student 1: oh I remembered Ms. Kathryn is the new teacher. Daniel: Oh great! Actually Im finding her, where is her room number or office by the way? Student 2: 3rd floor at SAC building near the cafeteria I think its room number 134 Daniel: Oh that building at the left?(he pointed the SAC building) Student 1: Yes sir Daniel: ok thanks guys God Bless Student 1&2: No problem sir have a great day! Daniel went to the building to find kathryn. When he is already at the first floor he whispered to himself. Daniel: Im here kath ( smile) The school is having a class since it is 10 am.When he is already at the front room 134 he peek out in the window to see if kathryn is there. When there is only the students he opened the door and go inside. He asked the students. Daniel: Hi guys Goodmorning!where is Ms.Kathryn Students: Goodmorning sir Student 1: He is at her office sir,she just get something then she will be back. Daniel: Oh really?Thankyou guys Students: Your welcome sir When daniel closed the door,he turned left and saw a girl walking towards him, since the girl was far,he can’t see clearly the face,when the girl is near towards him , that face is very familiar to him. Daniel: Kath? Kathryn: Dj?is that you? Daniel waits until the last class of Kathryn. It is already 3 pm (in the room where there is only the two of them) Daniel: how are you Maam Kathryn?(laughs) Daniel: Its been years since the last day we see each other. Kathryn: Yes its been so long since we see each other Dj, By the way what are you now? Daniel: Well Iam now a engineer at private company.Im really happy now that I see you again after a years. By the way where did you go?why didn’t you tell me kath? I worried a lot, I searched you on facebook but I cant see your account, Ive call you a lot of times but you didn’t answer. I ask many people but then they didn’t also know where did you go.Why did you leave without me knowing that your leaving? Kathryn: Theres so many things happened in the past years Dj,right? Kathryn: I just need some space to grow by my self and to find my own happiness. Kathryn: Im really also very happy that I see you again Dj Kathryn: So how are you now?How’S samantha by the way? Daniel: Well its been 2 years since we brake up kath Kathryn: Oh really?,Im sorry to hear that Dj. Daniel and Samantha broke up because daniel saw the true attitude of samantha, they have no time for each other, they already no spark, since then Samantha find her happiness to other guy, she had a secret relationship with other guy without daniel didn’t know. When the time Daniel knows the truth, he broke up to her. Since then daniel became single until now. Daniel: I realized that if could only bring back time I hope I choose you kath rather than samantha. Daniel: Kath Im sorry because I didn’t listen to you Daniel: I came back because I want you to be mine kath Kathryn was shocked on what daniel said. Daniel: I really missed you kath, can we bring back those good memories of us? Daniel: I want to make more memories with you kath (he holds her hands) Kathryn: Everything happened for a readon Dj, Im happy right now because I see you again but the things that you sa earlier is very complicated now Dj. Kathryn stands and walks towards the window Kathryn: Im getting married Dj (She shows her hand to Dj with an engagement ring) Daniel was shocked Daniel: but why? Kathryn: No dj, you should ask yourself why you didn’t choose me before, why you didn’t listen to me? Are you gonna still go and find me? If you and samantha didn’t broke up?Do you still gonna find me? Kathryn: Im sorry Dj , but I didn’t regret on what things happened in the past, because in that pain I became more braver, I learned a lot from that,I became a better version of myself. Kathryn: Im happy right now dj, I hope you will find your someone soon, someone that can love you, someone that can be your bestfriend, someone that will not leave you.We can still be bestfriends Dj,we can make memories together again. Daniel:Do you love me kath? Kathryn: (holds daniel face) I love you Dj as my bestfriend. Kathryn is getting married to James. James was that guy collided before by kath. Since the day James know the name of kath, he is always chats her, until they became close, he is the one who is always there for kath, he can make kath happy, he is the who cheers up kathryn everyday, he is the reason why kathryn moved ob from daniel, he always gave kathryn flowers and chocolates and gifts so that kathryn will be happy and so that she can fell that someone is loving her.After a year, they are now married and they live happily ever after. #creativewritingshortstory

Feature Writing Alyssa Valdez-The phenom in the Sea Games 2019 By: Dave Andre Beltis G11 HUMSS 1 Alyssa Valdez is known as “The Phenom” or “The Phenomenal” because of her extraordinary volleyball talent. “The Queen of Philippine Volleyball” currently plays in the professional league after a college league career that was nothing short of spectacular. As she ages, she only gets better and I imagine that her list of awards will continue to grow every year. She is a member of the Philippine national women’s volleyball team in the last 3 years and until now.In this year,Sea Games 2019 was held here in the country.She once again showcases her talent in the volleyball industry.As she with her teammates in the national team along with Jia Morado, Aby Maraño, Dawn Macandili, Mylene Paat angle many more, may not won a match in the Sea Games.But they’ve shown us a great games and We can see there passion and dedication to represent our country. Alyssa Valdez played spectacular in the matches she played , she averages 12.5 points in that three games against the powerhouse teams of Thailand,Indonesia and Vietnam.She has been consistent in the past years and in this Sea Games 2019 another milestone she have been through.She proved to us that she has that heartstrong and fighting spirit through all this years.In the one interview of Alyssa Valdez after the game against Indonesia, she explained why they lost in the must game win “This was a must game win for us, But unfortunately we lost,but we’re really hoping for a better game on the 5th” the phenom said.Alyssa Valdez with her teammates put up a good fight but Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand proved steadier.21-25,25-23,25-18,20-25,15-8 against the Vietnamese players.22-25,28-26,25-22,25-14 against the silver medalist Indonesia.25-16,25-22,34-32 against the Thailand who continued its stretch in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.”Well despite of the lost ,I think we had so many things na positive na ginawa in this Sea Games, so yun yung e improve pa namin ng team at gagawin pa namin sa susunod pang mga International games especially sa Sea Games” added by Valdez. Even though they’ve failed,Valdez is still happy to see the fans still supported them until the last game of them.Even there was a typhoon they still show the support for our athletes.”It is also frustrating as an athlete kase hindi ka makalusot parang pinag handaan talaga kami nila”she means all the other teams they’ve play with.”Parang may sinasabi si Lord sa amin na kulang pa talaga,kunting tiis at pagsisikap lang para makamit ang mithiin natin na maka gold” said Valdez. Introduction

The tittle of the book is Dead Stars. The short story was written by Paz Marquez Benilez, who was born in 1894 in Lucena City.

Summary

The purpose of the short story is to tell us that being faithful is very important in a relationship. In the short story Alfredo suddenly fades his love to his fiancé Esperanza.If this situation happens in true life, You with your partner should always have trust and love each other everyday.So you will not be in love to other person. Put God in the center of your relationship because he will guide you in the right path.

Review

1.What I like about the story is that it became a moral lesson to us, because it tells us to be loyal and always be in love to your partner everyday.In the other hand, what I dislikes in the story is that, Why Alfredo suddenly fade his love to Esperanza?.If you trully loves your partner, That thing will not happen. i agree to the author’s purpose telling us that “First love never dies”.

Why do first love never dies?I think first love is everything all at once.It is the kind of love you will never fall back.It is the kind of love that is very powerful and strong that it will never die.And I believe that first love will help one to grow up and that love will completes the person.

2.Alfredo Salazar-son of Don Julian,a more than 30 years old man and a bachelor.He is engaged to Esperanza but him still fleeting to Julia Salas.

Esperanza-wife of Alfredo Salazar. She is a homely woman, literal and intensely acquisitive. She is one of those fortunate woman who have the gift of uniformly beauty.

Julia Salas- sister-in-law of Judge Del Valle. She is the other girl of Alfredo Salazar that remains single in her entire life.

Conclusion

This work makes me realized the importance of love in a relationship.I do believe that love is the most important factor in a relationship.Without this there will be no relationship at all.You have to be in love to your partner everyday so that you will have a motivation to keep your love to him/her forever.
