Andrew winced slightly, though he knew Zach had a point. He should have thought to tell him sooner, though the chaos in his own life was as good an excuse for that as any he supposed. “I’m not how I should tell you this..,” he started, unsure how to proceed. “But, I found a few weeks ago that mom and dad were murdered. By a vampire.”
Zach was a mixture of things. Nervousness over everything. Anger that it had taken days before anybody had told him anything. He tried to use logic and tell himself it was because they were both in jail. Though his mind tended to ignore that logic and instead was upset over the whole situation. “Worried sick.” He huffed before following him inside and sitting down. “So what’s all happened?” He asked, his tone more sympathetic now.

Catching sight of what Jenna was up to, Andrew huffed an amused laugh, but sat up to sit beside her, pressing close against her side. “Hello Mac,” he greeted the lizard, lifting him delicately to place on his own shoulder. “What have the two of you been talking about?” He asked, mostly addressing the gecko.
Tumblr media
Jenna had spent a large portion of the afternoon lounging on the couch, waiting for Andrew to finish catching up with all his work. Currently she was letting his gecko roam along her stomach, giggling softly at the feel of his tiny feet. When he spoke Jenna craned her neck, giving him a lopsided smile. “It’s okay. Me and Mac are bonding without you.” She teased, inviting him to join her.

Andrew had been expecting Zach, waiting a little anxiously for him even, and he jumped up the answer when someone knocked. He opened the door with a smile, still a little unsure how to greet his twin and a little worried about the coming conversation, but still glad to see him. “How have you been?” He asked awkwardly, nodding towards the couch for them to sit down.
“See you then.” He said before hanging up. It didn’t take long for Zach to get to Andrew’s place. Once he got there, he knocked on the door and waited for his twin to answer. There were a lot of questions he had over everything and he was hoping Andrew would have answers to them.

Andrew closed his laptop with a sigh, setting it decisively off to the side on a nearby table. “I’m done for the night,” he declared, reaching up to scrub a hand for the night. “I need a break. And I’ve been ignoring you,” he offered her an apologetic smile. “Sorry babe. There’s been a lot to catch up on.”

“There’s been a lot happening,” he offered as a weak excuse, knowing that it wouldn’t mean much. “Why don’t you come over? Then at least we’ll have somewhere private to talk,” Andrew decided, sighing slightly. He didn’t want to have this conversation, but he knew that Zach deserved to know.
“Jail, great.” He remarked sarcastically. Of all the things his mind had jumped to, jail hadn’t been a single one. “Of course they did.” He said, a long breath escaping him. At least he knew they were safe and not dead or kidnapped. “It’s fine.” He said simply as Andrew paused. In his own way, he was mad about the whole situation. But right now, he was more relieved that he was able to talk to Andrew finally after days of worrying. “Yeah, whatever works best for you. Talking in person would probably make things a lot easier anyway.”

Andrew glanced between the two of them, not able to miss the way Nick had phrased what he’d said, but then Andrew wasn’t sure he wanted to know. It was easier to think that Nick was just going to take Kaden home, instead of considering that she was staying with the vampire. Glare lingering on Nicholas for a moment, he forced a smile when he turned his attention to Kaden, but it didn’t meet his eyes. “I’ll sort out the fire insurance. And help you find a new apartment,” he promised, though he knew it was a small consolation. Kaden had lost far more than Andrew had, and she had never been good at letting go. The state the house had been in was testament to that. He was exhausted, and wanted to go home and sleep for a week, but the idea of leaving Kaden with Nick set his teeth on edge. “Be careful, okay?” He implored, glancing again at Nicholas. “I’ll talk to you soon.”

Evidence|| Andrew & Kaden
The hands on her shoulders caused the briefest of smiles to pass over Kaden’s face before she reached up briefly with one of her own hands to touch his before dropping it entirely before Andrew noticed. As they walked out of the station and back into the outside world, Kaden had never truly realized how much she enjoyed the freedom of the city, and the world for that matter, until that moment. She could freely travel almost anywhere that she chose, and although she hadn’t had the chance to go that far through the legal process, she was more than grateful for the freedom she had been reminded of in this moment. “He already knows all of that,” she mentioned to Andrew, “I told him about it a couple days ago.” There was something about the tension in the current conversation that made her want nothing more than to run away and hide on her own, but that wasn’t exactly possible when she no longer had a home. “Can we just not talk about any of this?” she questioned, slightly exasperated, “I just don’t want to think about any of this right now.”
Tumblr media
The moment Kaden returned the touch an electric jolt shot through his veins. He wished her brother wasn’t here so he could kiss her. He almost wanted to do so anyway just to spite him but he knew Kaden would not appreciate that. “Yeah, I already know all of that.” he agreed with Kaden while glaring at Andrew. “You were arrested for snooping?” He shook his head.
Tumblr media
“Come on, Kay. Let’s go home.” he said, since she was sleeping at his place. He didn’t know were Andrew was gonna go but frankly he couldn’t care any less.

Andrew had known Zach wouldn’t be particularly happy, but he still winced when his twin picked up the phone. “Jail, actually. Arson investigators found the basement,” he answered shortly, guessing that if Zach had called so many times he had to know about the house. “I’m sorry I didn’t call sooner, I didn’t...” Andrew paused for a second, not sure if he wanted to mention Nick to Zach, but then it seemed cruel to keep something like that from his twin, especially given how mad he’d been at Kaden for doing the same thing. “Actually, can you meet me somewhere? Or come over? There’s a lot that’s happened, and I don’t want to tell you over the phone.”
Zach had been trying to get a hold of Andrew or Kaden for days. He’d left numerous voice mails and text messages to them. A million thoughts had run through his mind over what could have happened to them or where they could be. When Andrew called, he picked up the phone after a couple of rings. “Where the hell have you been?” He asked, his worry over them causing him to sound more angry than he felt.

Andrew was relieved that Kaden still seemed to care enough to make sure he was also released, but he couldn’t understand how she could even look at Nicholas without feeling the same blind rage that Andrew did. He shot Kaden a look, but he couldn’t exactly argue that he was relieved she wouldn’t be arrested. He knew she likely could have gotten off on most of the charges by arguing the basement had belonged to their parents, but this still could have easily ruined her life. Yet, Andrew couldn’t find it in himself to be grateful to Nicholas. Not after what he’d done. “I’d rather he had a stake through his heart,” he ground out, speaking to Kaden but knowing that Nicholas would hear. The comment from the vampire deepened Andrew’s scowl, and he turned his head slightly to look at Nick. “Someone set our house on fire,” he ground out, and from the information Andrew had that someone was Antonia. “Arson investigators found the basement,” he continued shortly, knowing that would be more than enough information for anyone that had seen it. It wasn’t hard to imagine why they had been arrested after it had been found.

Evidence|| Andrew & Kaden
Kaden knew the exact look to send towards Nick to make sure that Andrew was included in his little rescue plan. She added another, “If he’s not leaving then I’m not leaving,” as she knew it would be the final straw. She was fully confident that Nicholas wouldn’t leave her here, and that guaranteed that Andrew would be leaving with them as well. As Andrew questioned her actions, she turned to face him, “Would you rather I go to prison?” she questioned with a raised brow, already assuming his answer although she doubted he’d actually vocalize it. As Nicholas added that the knowledge that they had ever even been here had been compelled away, it took every ounce of self-control to not throw her arms around him. Her reputation might have meant little to everyone else, but to her it was everything, and in the human world she didn’t want something like this on her record. “Thank you,” she replied sincerely, arms loosely crossed to resist the urge to touch him, before Andrew shoved himself in-between the pair. She felt entirely trapped in a situation where she felt loyalty to both sides, and it nearly gave her a headache to even try and comprehend, “Okay,” Kaden agreed quickly, glancing over the room one more time before she moved to the side to allow Andrew to exit first. At least if she had her body in between the two of them, she hoped that a sudden fist fight was slightly more inevitable.
Tumblr media
“Yeah, yeah I got the point.” he told Kaden. “Eternal sibling love and all that.” he said. He smiled at her as she thanked him. Happy to have done something that pleased her. He approached her almost as if to pull her close but then Andrew shoved himself in between them and he was about to punch the boy. But of course Kaden’s presence was enough to prevent such thing. He shot Andrew a smug smile as Kaden made him exit first. He followed Kaden out, briefly putting his hands on her shoulders as he did. It was almost a relief to touch her again for the first time since their night. The three of them were able to walk out effortlessly, the instructions he had given the present cops had been clear. “How did you two get yourself into this situation?” he asked. “I thought hunters were supposed to be a little smarter than this.” he said mercilessly.

As guilty as it made him feel, Andrew hadn’t really considered Zach until he’d gotten a chance to charge his phone, and saw the voicemails from his twin. There had been so much going on, neither him, nor he assumed Kaden, had considered calling their brother. Andrew spent nearly 10 minutes staring at his phone before he plucked up the nerve to call, and he was wincing as it rung, waiting to hear his own voice pick up.

Andrew’s head whipped around to face Kaden as she spoke, eyes widening in surprise and betrayal as she walked without hesitation towards the vampire that had murdered their parents. He couldn’t understand how she could forgive him so easily, when all Andrew wanted was to see him dead.  “You’re going with him,” Andrew stated, an angry undercurrent to his voice, and a heavy dose of disbelief, but his attention snapped back to Nick as soon as the other vampire spoke, glaring viciously back. He didn’t respond to his joking, jaw clenching as he glanced between Kaden and Nicholas, and saw the way she relaxed in his presence, and the way he moved in front of her, as though she needed protecting from Andrew. He felt more and more like he was in a bizzaro version of his own universe. “Let’s go then,” he snapped, intentionally shoving his way past Nicholas, putting himself between the two of them, even though it pained him to put his back to the vampire. “Unless you plan on standing here all day.”

Kaden’s head whipped around to the door as she heard it open, and as she was met with the sight of Nick, she couldn’t help the look of relief that passed over her face as she automatically straightened her posture. She had started to stand to move towards him, but her attention instead was caught by Andrew as her brother stood. His tone of voice wasn’t something that she heard often, and Kaden couldn’t help but feel like she was currently trapped in the middle of what would be one of the most dangerous showdowns if Andrew had had a weapon on himself. “Shut up, Andrew,” she countered quickly, finally standing to her feet as well before walking towards Nick, “We’re leaving, and then you two can just argue it out outside.” Kaden refused to spend a moment longer in here than necessary. She turned her gaze towards Nicholas, the smallest of changes in her heartbeat as she stood next to him, “What did you do?” she questioned quietly and sending a look towards him that was slightly longer than necessary, “Just compel them all to let us out?”
Tumblr media
It was the first time seeing Kaden after they had slept together and he couldn’t help himself as he showed her a gentle smile. One that had their little secret hidden into it. He was ready to pull her close to get her out of here but her annoying brother seemed to stop her half way. He grinned a little as she told him to shut up. The moment she was within arms reach her pulled her close as if to check if she was hurt or not. When she seemed to be fine he looked up a little bewildered. “What? You want me to take him?” he asked. “I like living, thank you very much.” Nick stated while glaring at the Kingsman boy and seeming to have no intention to take him with them. Though he knew that if Kaden pushed him to do so he would cave. “Yeah, and to forget you so it will be like you were never here. But don’t assume you can go and do this every friday. You’re two grown ass people and I’m not your lawyer or guardian.” he said half jokingly. He looked at Andrew, standing slightly in front of Kaden as if to make very clear who was actually taking care of her here. “You can come if you behave.” he stated.

The silence between them felt heavy, but there wasn’t much either of them could say. Especially not when they were being listened to. “I guess we wait. I don’t think-” He frowned, cutting off as he heard the door being opened, lifting his head to watch who was entering the room. Nick was the last person he expected to see, and Andrew’s expression shifted instantly to rage upon seeing the vampire, a blind fury over taking him. He rose quickly to his feet, hands clenched into fists at his side. “She isn’t going with you,” his tone left no room for argument, fixing Nicholas with a look full of enough hate that Nick was lucky it couldn’t actually kill him. As far as he was concerned, Kaden leaving with Nicholas wasn’t even an option.

Andrew hummed, rolling his eyes in amusement at Jenna. “God forbid. I have to keep up with you, after all,” he teased, leaning down to kiss her. He had already accepted that he wasn’t going to finish his workout the moment Jenna sat down on the bench with him, but he couldn’t really say he minded too much. As far as distractions went, Jenna was a pretty good one. “Is that so? And what specifically is it you need from me, Jenna Anderson?” He asked, grinning.

She could help smile fondly at his pout, chest swelling in a mix of joy and pride. Kissing him back softly, Jenna pulled away just a fraction to whisper against his lips. “Done for now.” She promised, bouncing a kiss off the tip of his nose. “I shouldn’t bug you while you work out. Don’t want you to get fat and lazy.” Jenna teased, gripping his bicep and shaking it playfully. Instead of moving back to the bench, which was way too far from him in her opinion, Jenna sat on the floor beside him, shrugging at his response. “Oh, I need a great deal from you, Andrew Kingsman, don’t forget it.”

Kaden’s comment threw Andrew for a moment. With everything that had happened, her school had completely slipped his mind, and he felt immediately guilty that it had. “Congratulations. I’m proud of you,” he told her quietly after a few moments, unable to avoid considering the fact that if things worked out badly, Kaden wouldn’t be going back to school at all. Or doing anything else. She was still practically a kid, and this could very easily ruin her life, something Andrew would do anything to prevent. “You’ll be back there soon,” he told her with false confidence. “None of this has anything to do with you,” he insisted entirely for the people watching. He knew he wasn’t going to avoid at least the illegal weapons charges with the guns found in his house, but given they’d found the rest in their family home, no one had to know Kaden had been involved.

Andrew wasn’t sure that Kaden was telling the truth, but he couldn’t fault her for not being okay given the circumstances. “Fine,” he parroted back, only as truthful as she had been. For a moment, Andrew let the silence hang between them, not sure what else to say given they were being watched. “They searched my apartment,” he told her, knowing she’d understand what that meant. Andrew hadn’t had as much hunting stuff in his apartment as there was in the house, but it was enough.

Evidence|| Andrew & Kaden
Andrew lifted his head as the door opened, eyes widening as Kaden was escorted into the room, the sight of his little sister in police custody more than a little horrifying. He held her eyes as she was walked inside, and sat down across from him, and the entire room was silent except for the noise of the officer attaching her cuffs to the ring in the center of the table. He watched the man as he left the room, and waited until the door was closed behind him to look at Kaden again. “How are you?” He asked his sister, glancing meaningfully at the two way mirror that replaced one of the walls. There was so much more he wanted to say, but he knew he couldn’t when they were being watched.

Andrew wasn’t convinced, but he didn’t argue, abandoning his attempts to continuing his workout to touch Jenna instead, hands brushing along her shoulders and down her arms. He lifted his head to meet her kiss, following when she sat up with a small pout that she was stopping. “You’re done? Should I got back to my workout then?” He teased, reaching up so he could drag her down for another kiss. “If there’s nothing else you needed from me, that is.”

“No, they aren’t, I’d hear them coming anyways.” Jenna promised, splaying her fingers wide over his skin to trail them back down. Rucking up his shirt, she bent over to place several kisses along his torso, grinning as she heard the uptick of his heartbeat. “Besides,” Jenna whispered over him, working her way up to kiss his lips, lingering there a moment longer. “I’m done anyways.” She reluctantly pulled away from him, swinging a leg over to stand.  It definitely was fun to tease him, but he was right, it was a public place and Jenna really did prefer a more private setting.

jennaanderson:
When his gaze met hers, Jenna winked, sticking her tongue out playfully. He really was so stuffy sometimes, something she enjoyed making light of. Andrew was far too serious and Jenna had made it a personal goal to get him to lighten up. Wiggling her hips from side to side, she let out a soft huff at the friction, before worming her hands underneath his shirt. She palmed the hard muscles, massaging them a bit before working their way up to tweak a nipple trying to warrant a reaction. Her ears tuned into the sound of his heartbeat, slowly climbing, but due to the workout or her teasing, she couldn’t be sure.
When Jenna started to squirm on top of him, Andrew had to bite back a strangled noise, swallowing hard as he tried not to watch her. “Someone is going to walk in,” Andrew cautioned her, adjusting how he was on the bench, which had the unintentional side effect of moving Jenna on top of him. He knew a lot of the heat creeping over his skin wasn’t from the workout, especially as Jenna’s hands continued to creep along his chest. He jolted as her fingers found his nipple, and licking his lips, he lifted his head to look at her properly. “You’re cheating,” he accused, though the grin tugging at the corner of his lips betrayed him.
