Lately I've been wanting a means of having a creative outlet, so I've decided to create my own website/blog called TurfNerd. What I aim to do is write about the things I love and hopefully indirectly recommend useful stuff. I also plan to write about things that have nothing to do with golf or turf, as we all have interests and hobbies outside of work. You can expect to see posts about apps that I use (that may or may not be relevant to the industry), hardware (phones, computers, cameras, etc..), photography, golf and pop culture (ie. I'd had enough of a billion cables and having the desk space for triple monitor setup in such a small apartment. Back to a single 4k monitor with just the right amount of stuff I need, for what I do. Looking to get some studio monitor speakers next, any recommendations? Also, loving the new wallpaper brought to my attention by @mkbhd.

I can remeber back to 2009 when I was reading a magazine featuring New South Wales golf club. The pictures I saw, were featuring the course leading up to the 2009 Australian Open.. At the time, I was working at a fairly low budget course, but am thankful for the opportunities that arose from said job. As I read the article in a state of amazement and awe of just how glorious this course looked, I dismissed ever having the opportunity to walk said fairways. Well, I now work there. A top 5 golf course in Australia. Forever thankful of my position and I just wanted to share this picture of myself playing the famed 5th hole at NSW golf club. Hard work does pay off #greenkeeping #golf #turf #nswgc
