The game follows traditional point-and-click mechanics, with a hint system that assists you in getting out of frustrating situations - something which adventure games are famous for. The game has several hilarious moments and some really funny characters to interact with. The first chapter looks more like an introduction, though the puzzles compensate for the shorter play time. I am eagerly waiting for episodes 2 and 3 to see how the story goes further. A must-play game if you are into LucasArts type of adventure games.

3. The Lost City

Inspired by Myst, The Lost City sports gorgeous visuals which look amazing on an Android tablet PC. The game’s stunning scenes have a story to tell. One really can’t take his eyes off of such brilliant artwork. Well, don’t just waste your time gazing at those spectacular scenes. You have puzzles to solve. Each scene provides fun mind-benders.

The Lost City is an exploration-based point-and-tap adventure game, which lets you explore a gorgeous tropical island full of secrets and mysteries. You will need to solve puzzles scene-by-scene, collecting items and using them to solve logical puzzles. Gameplay sticks to traditional adventure mechanics, but it’s the atmosphere and enchanting visuals that provide a surreal experience.

The Lost City may not have a captivating story, but it does offer amazing graphics that can leave you in splits. Gameplay will make you feel a bit nostalgic if you have played Myst before. Even if you are not fan of this genre, you will fall in love with its arresting visuals.

A short, but engrossing game, The Passenger has excellent hand-drawn visuals which are quite reminiscent of classic graphic adventure titles. The game puts you into the shoes of a character straight from a detective noir novel.

Like a typical adventure game, The Passenger will let you tap on an area for the investigator to move and collect items of interest. You will be taken to a train scene, where you will be investigating for any clues and hints. The game makes things a bit easier by highlighting items for puzzles.

The Passenger is divided into several episodes. The first episode will leave players totally confused. However, it sets the tone right for future episodes, keeping players wondering what might be in store for them in episode 2.

Good graphics, haunting music and great gameplay are some of the aspects that make The Passenger a decent point-and-tap title, but the game too short and has only 6 puzzle scenes to solve. All in all, a great game to play, especially if you are a big fan on WhoDunit type of games.

5. Reperfection

Reperfection is a supernatural thriller. It has an intriguing plot and amazing art graphic noir visual style that compliments well with the entire concept. In Reperfection, the protagonist has the ability to go back in time by looking into the eyes of a dead person. His wife died in an accident and he has no option but to use this ability to bring her back to life. Will he be able to successfully alter his past? Only you can help him and this can be done solving puzzles and interacting with in-game characters.

The game looks like a wonderful interactive comic book. Each panel comes alive with a new puzzle and lets you interact with the objects or people to delve deeper into the mystery. Solving puzzles unlocks new panels.

Reperfection’s 2D black and white graphics are just amazing. The attention-to-detail and noir-style artwork creates a dark atmosphere and keeps you hooked into every digital page. If you have a penchant for interactive graphics novels and are a sucker for mature storylines, then Reperfection is one point-and-click adventure game you should not miss playing on your Android device.

6. Broken Sword: Director’s Cut

When I first played Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars on my PC, I fell in love with its magnificent visuals and endearing characters. The Director’s Cut version for Android has improved graphics and plenty of extra features, including a special mode where you can play Nicole’s character. The game has plenty of puzzles, and some of them are quite tricky, forcing players to think out of the box. Several puzzle solutions are totally crazy and amusing.

The Android version of Broken Sword: Director’s Cut makes good use of the touch screen, making point-and-tap gameplay easier and more rewarding. The relaxing gameplay, challenging puzzles and the beautiful Paris backdrop are reasons enough to play this game on your Android tablet/phone.

7. The Silent Age

The Silent Age involves time travel. It is set in the early 70s. The protagonist, Joe, who works as a janitor at an agency, stumbles upon a time travel device. Now it’s up to him to save this world.

The time travel device teleports him to the early 70s, where he encounters several obstacles and dangers and it’s you who can help him solve the mystery. You will need to help Joe on his city adventure as he avoids the police and find a way from one area to another to find clues.

You will need to solve logical puzzles to help him reach his goal. The episodic adventure game is on the shorter side, and leaves plenty of questions behind, leaving players wanting for more. However, this short adventure game offers some brilliant puzzles and has a marvelous setting. If you love sci-fi themed adventure games, then you must download this game.

8. The Great Fusion

The Great Fusion is an Android point-and-click adventure game with an unusual premise. It is full of gags and some rather bizarre puzzles to solve.

Set in the dystopian world, the game lets you control a sacked computer programmer who stumbles upon weird odd jobs, such as robbing a bank, taking part in a rescue mission and many other fun missions. The point-and-tap interface lets you pick up flashing items of interest and using them on logical puzzles. The in-game hint system provides clues via a virtual mobile phone, which you can use in confusing situations.

Kaptain Brawe’s gameplay and bright, colorful visuals reminds me of LucasArts games. The cartoonish graphics, brilliantly-devised logical puzzles, funny characters and lots of humor rekindles fond memories of good old school adventure games. The story revolves around a burly character called Kaptain Brawe who finds himself tangled into an inter-galactic conspiracy that compels him to search for its answer in a far-off galaxy.

On his adventure, he meets quirky characters and stumbles across plenty of puzzles, which, in my opinion are much more complicated than the mind-benders of all games mentioned in this article. The game has two difficulty levels: Hardcore and Casual. The hardcore difficulty level might not be a good choice for newbie players, because some brain-twisters are extremely absurd and complicated to solve. However, there’s a hint system that may assist you in solving them.

Kaptain Brawe’s good storyline, clever but often ridiculous puzzles and excellent graphics will appeal to adventure gamers. This awesome interstellar point-and-click adventure game can be downloaded free to your Android phone or tablet PC.
