Hiroko looked up from her textbook. It took her a moment to process the sentence enthusiastically shouted at her from across the tiny apartment. Yasuhiro was standing on a chair with his hands and face pressed against the window.

“Ice cream? Think the forecast is a little off tonight, kiddo.”

“Nope! Just hasn’t happened yet!”

“Sure, whatever you say.”

Had this fic idea ages ago that attaches to my cute Oumota family fic How to Defeat a Closet Monster

Kaito is about to go to space for several months and Ophie is insistent on going too. When she finds out she cannot she gets all pouty and cranky. At first Kaito thinks it’s because she isn’t able to go to space with him and he eventually discovers it’s because she’s worried he’ll be scared/lonely without her.

In typical Kaito fashion, he gives a heartwarming spiel that all he has to do is look at the moon and he won’t be lonely. After all, he knows his family down on Earth will look at it with him too.

Just before he goes she gives him her favourite toy to bring up into space with him which he keeps as a mascot.

Kokichi is keeping a brave face through all of this but he’s also low key terrified about Kaito going away for so long, especially since he’s not as stable as his partner is.

They do get to chat every once in a while and Ophie is always delighted to talk to Daddy and her fav toy while they float around.

heeeeeey there. Well...the problem with the screen isn't fixed yet 😑 But since it will probably take a bit of an ETERNITY to fix it, I decided to keep posting, although maybe not as often as usual :v

Aaaaanyway, recently I've reading some fics made by @andromebaa regarding their Despair Legacy AU. I quite liked the ones I've read so far! And because of that, I decides to try and draw Ren and Kaito, from the same fic! 😆✨

This is how I first envisioned the characters when I first read the One-shot, but after hearing and seeing their actual designs, I tried to draw them more closer to their "canon" appereance, which here you have 🙃👇

Ren is the one on the left and Kaito is the one on the right. Sometimes when I read Kaito I can't help but think in the other Kaito we all know from V3, and it confuses me for a bit 😅 I think it still fits him though, because the name Kaito literally has the characters of "sea" and "Star", which complementa with his swimmer aura 🤗✨

In Ren's case, her name means "lotus" and represents purity and beauty, which also fits her very well 🧐 Ren is a name that can be used for both, boys or girls, so taking into account that her father is Togami...I wonder if it was him or her mother the one who chose the name 🤔 Because it kinda feels like the name was chosen specifically for a boy (because you know, males are the only ones that can gain poder in the Togami family 😶), and thus it can be a reminder of all what Ren isn't 🥲

...Okay, maybe I'm reading too much into it 😅 Still, making this was fun so, hope to read more soon! ☺️✨✨

Thinking about my Despair’s Legacy AU where everyone lives. Thinking about how they were all sure they were going to die before Junko is ousted and banished at the last second.

Thinking about how they’re all free but not really free because they cannot leave the school because they think the world has been destroyed.

Thinking about how they’re contractually forced to have kids and over time they turn their prison into a small, thriving commune. Thinking about how they watch their children grow up (mostly) happy and strong and under their protective eyes.

Thinking about how they discover that half their lifetime worth of food/food production materials had rotted without their knowledge. Thinking about their constant secret meetings where they discuss what they should do to prevent everyone from starving whilst trying to keep it on the down low to prevent their kids from freaking out.

Thinking about how they started to conclude that some of them would have to sacrifice themselves and leave the school and their loved ones behind.

Thinking about how they were ambushed by Junko and locked away in a dirty bunker. Thinking about how they were forced to watch their children participate in the killing game they were meant to play twenty years ago. Thinking about them watching their children murder and be murdered and then put on trial and executed.

Thinking about how the unlucky parents of each dead child had to decide, willingly or not, whether they would sacrifice themself or watch the mother/father of their kid die instead.

Thinking about their attempt at a hopeful future only allowed them to plunge into a greater, more gut-wrenching and soul destroying form of despair - all the while an older Junko is relishing every single second of it like a bottle of well-aged wine.
