Because of the character designs this show sometimes looks like the Pokemon anime took a really weird turn.

machu stands in earth gravity but finds that... it feels the same as side 6.

after struggling so hard to get to earth, a place where she believed she could be free, she meets lalah who believe space is the only place where she can be free

when machu finally sees the ocean, she's been through too much in her short time on earth and does not feel the wonder she thought she would

when she does enter the ocean, it's not freeing. it's the opposite. she's confined in her cockpit, the pressure pressing down on it, only to trap herself in the gquuuuuux again, the only thing she accomplished was to bring challia exactly what he wanted

and, at the end of the episode, she's in the same cell she started it in. truly, she must be wondering what it was all for

I want more female characters who are just so bad at comforting others. Not for lack of trying or caring, they just get so so awkward when someone's upset, and they try to repeat things they've heard even if it doesn't necessarily apply to the situation, or they accidentally say the wrong thing and make it worse. If someone cries they panic and throw every single comfort technique down at once and it only helps because it's such bizarre behaviour
