So saddened to hear the news about Steve Albini. Since I first heard Big Black and Shellac, his music and approach to production has been a huge influence on my own work.

FLUX.
A hard boiled sci-fi thriller, with Blade Runner meets The Expanse meets Game of Thrones vibes.
A character focused story, against the backdrop of an abandoned earth, as we begin to unravel a hidden truth behind Earths demise. It not being what is commonly known.

It's seeing fan art like this on Critical Role that inspired to pic up a graphics tablet and have a go myself. Long way to go til I'm at this level.

Another of EZombieart’s (on twitter) amazing designs, this time of Beau!  More of a doodle that I threw color on, but wound up liking it. I love this campaign so much weeps. Kisses this beautiful monk!

Thoughts on motivation or lack thereof...
I have this frustrating trait of involving myself in many hobbies but find I'm only able to give my full attention to one at a time. I thought if I reduced the number of hobbies I commit myself to, the better I would be able to manage them. For the most part that has been true. So at the moment I'm "juggling" working my 9-5 day job, playing Magic: The Gathering on a competetive level and creating a comic/graphic novel, and at times just that is enough to make me feel stretched. It's fine though, I'm enjoying both and managing to achieve the goals I aim for, but then I get days like this weekend just gone.
It was the prerelease weekend for the new Magic set and I had booked myself in for events all weekend, two whole days of Magic: The Gathering! Great! But then the weekend comes around and of course my temperental brain is stuck in comic making gear. So I couldn't fully enjoy the pre release (despite putting up decent results on the Saturday) as I was stuck in the wrong headspace. All that would go over in my head was "Just think how much comic you could be getting drawn with this time.”
This is where I struggle, my head gets in the wrong gear at the wrong time. So when I have the best time to work on the comic, I'll only be motivated to play and practice MTG, and when I have an MTG tournament my focus and motivation will be completely elsewhere. Most of the time I can sync myself up well enough to have the right drive and motivation at the right time but this weekend that wasn't the case. On the Sunday, after getting off to a bad start I did drop out of the event and headed home early to get some comic done, but after the hour walk home the motivation had gone completely. So didn't achieve anywhere near as much as I had wanted.
Hey ho, just have to remember I have plenty of time to get this thing finished and I don't have to rush. I mean it's not like I'm mortal or anything...
...oh wait!
